That is so lovely to hear. My daughter (33yrs old) loves Elvis along with her husband & my grandson (12yrs old). I agree with your vote for JUST PRETEND.
Elvis had an album that was titled 50,000, 000 ELVIS FANS CAN'T BE WRONG , but that was a very conservative estimate of the number of Elvis fans that are out there....It's more like many hundreds of millions of fans worldwide. So, for anyone who laughs because someone Is a fan of Elvis , it just shows how ignorant they are.. It also shows what a lack of taste they have in music. Elvis has been , and will always be, a force to be reckoned with in music . He's imitated by many , has been a BIG influence on many, whether they want to admit it or not , and this guy single handidly changed music back in the 1950's Elvis did alone what it took 4 guys from England ( the Beatles ) to do in popularity later on . 45 years after his death and Elvis is STILL very much a big part of popular culture around the world ....Oh yeah, and Elvis has sold more than 1 billion records , yes, that's with a 'B' , far more than any other artist on the planet. So, laugh it up, hyenas , all you want...It's Elvis and his many fans that will always have the last laugh ...LONG LIVE THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL, ELVIS PRESLEY !!!
I pity those people. My aunt is one of them. She (and anyone who says bad things about Elvis) are missing out on life. Elvis is music. He never encountered a genre he couldn't sing, he knew that music is a uniting force in the world, and that the best music should make people feel. It's no wonder or coincidence that he ended audiences just sitting there and then politely clapping when the song is done. It's also not a coincidence that Elvis is still popular or that youths of today are discovering him on their own which dispels all of the worries his OG fans had about Elvis dying out when they died out because the younger generation is not only finding him without help of an Elvis fan in the family but they're introducing him to the generation in between Elvis and social media/internet when his performances were hard to find and you had to be looking in the first place. However, the number of young people reclaiming the actual Elvis and celebrating the artist shows Elvis never left the building.
Elvis produced his songs both in studio and on stage from every note of music to each sound of a voice with him. He was the first to ever do this. His arrangement of Bridge is so beautiful, along with that gifted voice, it does make you tear up. You just know he is going to lay down over that troubled water for you.
Elvis made most of the detailed arrangement himself- om top of the guy hired to do it, - there's a video of him directing/coaching his band/choir in rehearcel of this song for this Las Vegas performance
As good as he was live, elvis's true artistry, soul depth and diversity lies in the recording studio. His critically acclaimed recordings are in multiple genres of music. ONE listen to the 1960. Critically acclaimed recording of "it's now or never" and you immediately understand that he's one of the all time greats.
Yes, one of his greatest strengths was in arrangements, that unique 'Elvis' sound even in previously well-known songs as here, from choosing the background vocalists to conducting when instruments came into the songs. I've heard it said if he hadn't been such a talented singer he could still have made a fantastic producer.
Shows back then didn't have all the visual effects that came in later years, Elvis really focused on his music product in meticulous detail in his Vegas years
@@bradhuskers I disagree. There was nothing that compared to watching him live, each time putting a slightly different sound or word to the music, watching him perform, watching him lead his musicians and singers and interacting with them. It put a whole new layer on each performance. Some of his very best versions of songs were done live and with more passion to them than the studio versions, as great as they were.
Did you know he built and produced that arrangement around him, you see it in the "That's the way it is " concert documentary. He sculpts exactly how he wants the harmonies and the instruments. He is often not given credit fir hid music production. Great review and it's good he brought you to tears.
Just as every other Elvis video you have seen the emotion you feel when you watch a master at work and with no dancers, no light show and no other gimics to impress you then you see what it takes be a great entertainer. He left us 45 years this Aug. and still he moves us.TCB
Hi Nina - I just happened to stumble on this awesome video. I was slightly bored until you bare your soul at the end. I have always believed Almighty God gave one of His gifts to Elvis - to sing the notes of love! You made me happy when I saw you connect to that love of God that Elvis passed on to you as you listened to the love of God pass fluidly thru Elvis. Thank you for being real. I was touched by your spirit of joy to appreciate the bridge of love over troubled waters that you felt shared to you from Elvis who is merely a conduit and instrument in the Lords Will to love all of us - His Children. God Bless You! I always pray that i can sing uplifting songs to others as a gift of kindness to them. When I think of others to strengthen their hearts, I seem to sing my best. I try to sing my heart out. I need hearing aids to improve. Love your channel.
That velvet voice. Its very captivating and special. Unbelievable. I watched over and over this brilliant live performance called " Make the world go away 1970 live " by Elvis. Please react to that one. I think its amazing.
Love this performance 👏 and your reaction. If you see his rehearsal for this, you can see how much of himself he puts into the arrangement he wasn't just a pretty face he was something special 🥰
Your observations were great! Love learning more about Elvis and his perfect performances. He truly was a master at his trade. Born natural. Love his story. So much love in his heart. Amazing.
Elvis knew what he wanted from a song that's why he was so involved in arranging the music. He was a true musical genius with his greatest gift being his phenomenal voice. He takes what was a great song and makes it even better. My biggest disappointment is that I never got to see him in person. He was scheduled to perform in Hershey in the Spring of 1978, I would have been there with "bells on". I was fortunate enough to watch the Aloha special (that will be 50 years this week!) live though. I LOVE ELVIS!!!
Your voice is lovely.....❤️🌻 I understand about feeling emotional when Elvis sings. His voice feels like a warm blanket around me when the world is cold.Thank you for sharing this beautiful song with us.
@@ninaschofield Nina. It made me a bit emotional too. I was 18 years old when Elvis left the building in 1977. And it will be even more emotional when Elvis comes forward after being away as part of a team of amazing celebrities whose mission is to re-awaken the world after what we’ve been through. I can’t imagine Elvis Presley not working all of these years. I know this sounds crazy. Look up Pastor Bob Joyce on RUclips. He’s wearing make up and a prosthetic nose but even at the age of 87, I can still hear it that noise coming through when he sings. You’ll find out 174
Look at those beautiful eyes ,and that smile just melts my heart , then when he sings makes you feel it deep down in your heart and soul ,this man really knew how to conduct a performance
@@TheElvisSpirit if you watch Thats The Way It Is and On Tour, you see Elvis fine tune arrangements where he wants instruments to come in, vocals to do certain lines and harmonies etc. It's epic watching him at work. I love the Thats The Way It Is rehearsals.
@@mattybond yes ,fine tuning the arrangements of Glen. He did so many..Good example..The Wonder of you. Elvis added to his arrangements...and worked it out more..But credit where credit is due . Glen arranged it, and sometimes also Joe Guercio did.
@@TheElvisSpirit you see him arranging Bridge Over Trouble Water telling when he want horns to come in and the inspirations to really push "see how they shine..." etc. He was the same in the studio. It's incredible listening to the out-takes with him stopping them and telling no do this....
I never get tired of listening to Elvis singing. Especially in this time of his life. He sang this song with so much love. Relaxes and soothes the soul. Thank you Elvis. And great reaction.
Nina elvis on tour bridge over troubled water is perfectly unbelievable, but love the thats the way it is version aswel.😉👌,your so butiful keep doing wot your doing its fantastic to watch 😁👌
“So what it boils down to was Elvis produced his own records. He came to the session, picked the songs, and if something in the arrangement was changed, he was the one to change it. Everything was worked out spontaneously. Nothing was really rehearsed. Many of the important decisions normally made previous to a recording session were made during the session. What it was a look to the future. Today everybody makes records this way. Back then Elvis was the only one. He was the forerunner of everything that’s record production these days. Consciously or unconsciously, everyone imitated him. People started doing what Elvis did.” - Bones Howe, Recording Engineer, as quoted in Jerry Hopkins’ 1971 book, "Elvis, A Biography"
@@ninaschofield Nina, thank you for your wonderful reactions. Have you heard elvis's critically acclaimed 1960 recording of "it's now or never?" It's audio only, and I wanted to see if you could do a reaction video to it. It's such a stark difference to this performance. It shows what a chameleon voice he had. It's on RUclips. The 1960, critically acclaimed studio recording of "it's now or never" I'd love to see your reaction. Warm regards, Brad
"Elvis soundscape" is a wonderful term. He surrounded himself with the best musicians he could find and seems to have known how to bring out the best in them. I heard one of those on stage with him say that Elvis didn't care who the spotlight was on, as long as they were doing a good job. The music was what mattered. Check out "Without Love" and "Love Me, Love the Life I live." And for a wonderful early ballad "First In Line."
This might have been a cover by Elvis but it might be fun for you to know that all the arangements in the song and all his songs are totaly made by Elvis himself.. He would stop his band during rehearsals and in detail tell them what he wants so what he heard in his mind... I always really love all the details in this song and enjoy to see you picking them up to.. Impressed with how fast you can replay those stunning details on the piano.. I loveee that little thing you tried. By the way the reaction by the original artist to this song was, oh boy now we can`t ever do this song again we can never do it this good.. I love love love the moment when the harmonyvocals set in and Charlie Hodge sings with him.. The moment Charlie starts Elvis looks behind him looking at Charlie..
YOUR REACTION GOT ME EMOTIONAL!! AWESOME AWESOME REACTION MY DEAR! ❤️. IVE BEEN LISTENING TO ELVIS FOR OVER 51 YEARS....HIS VOICE IS SECOND TO NO ONE AND STAGE PRESENCE IS OFF THE CHAIN! HE DID MOST OF HIS ARRANGEMENTS REGARDING HIS CONCERTS...HE WAS A DOWN TO EARTH SIMPLIFIED GENIUS! YOURE AWESOME...KEEPM COMING! 👍❤️😉
Nina I love ❤ his voice, backup singers, orchestra etc etc. Elvis put it all together for a perfect sound and show ❤. His charisma, looks, personality and voice makes you speechless and emotional like you pointed out. OMG
Loved your reaction Nina! This is an all time iconic song sung by the legend himself. The S&G version was my favourite until I heard Elvis sing this song... Wow! Love his powerful voice, the music, instruments and his backup singers were the best. A flawless performance. Thank you for this video. 👍⚡🇿🇦
I have been imbued with an enormous lack of discernible talent yet with an enormous capacity of appreciation for what I feel is the single greatest performer we all have been blessed to witness in the fullness of our time. Thank you mom n pop Presley for your gift! Bigislandtom.
Live, his own arrangement (as you can see in the movie, that's the way it is"), no autotune, autodidact , just out of this world. I love most music from ac/dc to The Beatles, from opera to country , from the 50' to the 2020' , but I always go back to Elvis, he had something I cant find anywhere else !
I have this song almost memorized in my mind...the piano notes, the flute, and his voice, the background singers. It is by far to me the best Bridge Over Troubled Water arrangement and performance ever. Just Gorgeous! Thank you for putting it out there. Ive played it for years, but so happy a younger person can appreciate it! Thank you.
Elvis arranged this. There’s a video of him rehearsing this song from That’s the way it is concert movie.Elvis is PHENOMENAL!! I love your reaction. You sing beautifully too.
Elvis doesn't sing or vocalise to the music the music reacts in harmony with that man Elvis voice as he directs all the musicians and backing vocals,EP was the master at getting the best out of such a tight backing band and backing vocals, all together its MAGIC
Elvis was a Perfectionist with his music.. He would never settle for Less than perfect. He did as Many takes as it took to get it exactly right, & it Always was.
Hi Nina! Fantastic video I love how you explain the singing abilities that Elvis has, I'm not a singer so I hardly notice some of the in depth abilities that Elvis uses in his performances. What I would definitely recommend is his performance of "What now my love" or "You gave me a mountain" it really shows Elvis's vocal talent. Check it out if you haven't already heard it😉
I had a T-shirt made years ago that said, I may be old but I got to see all the really cool bands! Well, I'm 72 now and back in 1971, being a long haired musician myself, I went to see Elvis in concert in Dallas, Texas and I was pretty close to the front, dead center and I especially remember Elvis performing this song and it was almost a spiritual experience, totally blew me away as did the whole concert and remember Elvis was 100% at the top of his game then! I'll never forget it, one of the best performances I ever witnessed, and I've see literally seen everybody from 1965 and up.
Catching an occasional often-played song on the radio does not do him justice. There is so much to listen to, so many great performances - including live ones.
Loved your reaction Nina. Yes, what can we say... it's Elvis singing! I'm glued to the screen and my ears are absorbing this masterful performance! He had the most beautiful and powerful baritone voice ever! Thanks for the music Elvis. You will never be forgotten. 👍💟⚡🇿🇦 Ps... you have a beautiful voice Nina.👍
I love how you listen and appreciate all the musical elements like the piano, bass, harmonies and orchestral arrangements. Such a caleidoscope of sound. My favourite Elvis vocal performance is 'I met her today' from 1961.
He makes me so emotional at times, II have tears running down my cheeks without even realizing it. He’s got such soul and passion when he sings. Such a unique voice that delivers such passion. That last “troubled waters” that he sings has such a cry in his voice, that I literally caught my breath and just felt those emotions. So rare. Thank you so much. ❤❤😊
Not sure how many fans knew this, but Elvis-for all intents & purposes, produced all of his recording sessions at RCA. Strangely, a production credit was rarely if ever listed on his singles or LPS, but it was Elvis who was the driving force-even as a 21 yr. old.

@@ronaldholmes8525 I couldn't agree more...your every word is more than a true. Thank you 🙂
Elvis produced his songs both in studio and on stage from every note of music to each sound of a voice with him.
Shows back then didn't have all the visual effects that came in later years, Elvis really focused on his music product in meticulous detail in his Vegas years
Note: Most of the arrangement of songs were between Elvis and his pianist, Glen Hardin.
He Always decided HOW a song was sung. He did arrangement & sound system.
Elvis is the KING OF MUSIC...He is greater then himself
Please just listen until he is done! Then make your comments.
You have witness the Greatest Mr.Elvis Presley
There were so many layers to Elvis' performances that it's hard to believe that a human being could pull this off in one moment in time.
I'm impressed at how he could still bring tears to your eyes after all these years.
Really wish this critic would let Elvis sing without her constant interrupting!! Critique after song is done. Really annoying!
That velvet voice. Its very captivating and special. Unbelievable. I watched over and over this brilliant live performance called " Make the world go away 1970 live " by Elvis. Please react to that one. I think its amazing.
Truly amazing I love his voice.💖

I can listen to this song 500 times and I will get emotional 500 times. Congratulations on the video!
O sigo no RUclips também, gosto muito de suas falas, sempre muito ponderadas e respeitosas.
@@eduardopassos Olá Eduardo! Muito obrigado por seguir nosso trabalho também!
Thank you so much!
This is my favorite song by Elvis.
Hits my heart every time
He is just Phenomenal!!♥️🔥♥️

Great reaction video, Elvis is amazing. Plus, you are gorgeous😉
Yes,..You've chosen one of his great 'songs'. One of my favourites. Lovely!!❤❤. Really emotional!.
I love everything Elvis does when he sings, he's amazing
Aww you're reaction is wonderful
Elvis reaches the spirt and soul of those who take the time to listen to him.

Amazing.
Elvis Always Awesome 🙂
To me, that's one of the most beautiful songs that I've heard, and Elvis singing it makes it even more beautiful
Elvis vocal range and especially the color of his voice was and still is unique.
Your voice is lovely.....❤️🌻
I understand about feeling emotional when Elvis sings. His voice feels like a warm blanket around me when
the world is cold.Thank you for sharing this beautiful song with us.
Thank you so much for watching 🥰
@@ninaschofield Nina. It made me a bit emotional too. I was 18 years old when Elvis left the building in 1977. And it will be even more emotional when Elvis comes forward after being away as part of a team of amazing celebrities whose mission is to re-awaken the world after what we’ve been through. I can’t imagine Elvis Presley not working all of these years. I know this sounds crazy. Look up Pastor Bob Joyce on RUclips. He’s wearing make up and a prosthetic nose but even at the age of 87, I can still hear it that noise coming through when he sings. You’ll find out 174
@@ninaschofield I hope you are feeling better, and I was impressed with your singing. A great post, thank you.
Look at those beautiful eyes ,and that smile just melts my heart , then when he sings makes you feel it deep down in your heart and soul ,this man really knew how to conduct a performance
Wonderful Elvis ❤
Elvis was incredible doing arrangements for the band and backing vocals. I have all the rehearsals recordings
Arrangements were done by his pianist Glenn. D. Hardin.
He's the King for a reason!!
I never get tired of listening to Elvis singing. Especially in this time of his life. He sang this song with so much love. Relaxes and soothes the soul. Thank you Elvis. And great reaction.
He evokes a right blending of the sound/word which correspond to the feeling being conveyed...
People started doing what Elvis did.”
- Bones Howe, Recording Engineer, as quoted in Jerry Hopkins’ 1971 book, "Elvis, A Biography"
Excellent reaction! I totally agree with everything you said. He was a gift to this world and you are very talented too
Thank you, very much appreciated 🎶

Nina, thank you for your wonderful reactions.
Have you heard elvis's critically acclaimed 1960 recording of "it's now or never?"
It's audio only, and I wanted to see if you could do a reaction video to it.
It's such a stark difference to this performance.
It shows what a chameleon voice he had.
It's on RUclips.
The 1960, critically acclaimed studio recording of "it's now or never"
I'd love to see your reaction.
Warm regards,
Brad
Beautiful performance by Elvis - loved your reaction 💗💗
I thought how can anyone sing this song as good as Art Garfunkel, but Elvis nails it💓 Love your explanations👍
Love love love this song. His most beautiful self !!
I hope she reviews ...
1966, "you'll never walk alone"
1960, "it's now or never"
"Such a night"
Brilliant just brilliant
Lloro cada vez que veo a Elvis cantando esta canción
Wonderful reaction! ELVIS version of this song makes goosepumps! His vocal range is incredible! I love ELVIS!
Thanks so much ☺️🎶
Untouchable singer, unique beyond comparison....cheers ..
Nina I love ❤ his voice, backup singers, orchestra etc etc. Elvis put it all together for a perfect sound and show ❤. His charisma, looks, personality and voice makes you speechless and emotional like you pointed out. OMG
You have class excellence explaining about the Greatest Mr.Elvis Presley !!!
I feel like you Big Time !❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ respect
Love your reaction! Elvis is Elvis. Nothing that goes under "normal" can be considered Elvis stuff.
Let's be grateful that we can all still listen to the master.
Loved your reaction Nina! This is an all time iconic song sung by the legend himself. The S&G version was my favourite until I heard Elvis sing this song... Wow! Love his powerful voice, the music, instruments and his backup singers were the best. A flawless performance. Thank you for this video. 👍⚡🇿🇦

Elvis and his vessel singing . A king leading his kingdom 👑
Love love your reaction. More Elvis please
No one can outshine Elvis's powerful voice and electrifying performance
I have this song almost memorized in my mind...the piano notes, the flute, and his voice, the background singers. It is by far to me the best Bridge Over Troubled Water arrangement and performance ever. Just Gorgeous! Thank you for putting it out there. Ive played it for years, but so happy a younger person can appreciate it! Thank you.
I love that you love Elvis as much as I do And you are amazing you are captivating you’re a photogenic you are a real for real God bless you baby
Wonderful video beautiful lady. No one can complete with Elvis Presley he was a one off. And could simply sing anything any style truly One of a kind.
This beautiful man was simply amazing 💕
Elvis arranged this. There’s a video of him rehearsing this song from That’s the way it is concert movie.Elvis is PHENOMENAL!! I love your reaction. You sing beautifully too.
YOU are an OUTSTANDING interpreter ! Thank You ! Everything Elvis would also be OUTSTANDING content too….
Exactly, and that could be from 1 to almost 40 takes, throughout his whole career.
I really enjoy listening to you break down these performances.
Every rock and pop star (and a lot of country stars too) from 1956 thru at least the 80s just wanted to be Elvis.
Adoro essa música. Ouvi pela primeira vez quando criança. Beautiful 💖 💖 💖 thankil
Check it out if you haven't already heard it😉
Can't never go wrong with Elvis
Very nice comment, nice to see that you hear the small details what makes this song so good.
You’re hearing why Elvis is the king. Nobody better !
I'm not a real Elvis fan, but this version is INCREDIBLE.
😊👍
There's a lot more incredible if you looked and listened to other songs of his. I've been listening for decades.
What I wanna see next, much more ELVIS.
SIMON & GARFUNKEL said how can we singe this song now after ELVIS sung it !
Simply the best of the best...the king
He makes me so emotional at times, II have tears running down my cheeks without even realizing it. He’s got such soul and passion when he sings. Such a unique voice that delivers such passion. That last “troubled waters” that he sings has such a cry in his voice, that I literally caught my breath and just felt those emotions. So rare. Thank you so much. ❤❤😊
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ Great Wishes from Germany. Elvis was here in his Military Time...
Not sure how many fans knew this, but Elvis-for all intents & purposes, produced all of his recording sessions at RCA. Strangely, a production credit was rarely if ever listed on his singles or LPS, but it was Elvis who was the driving force-even as a 21 yr. old.
Awesome reaction!
Beautiful reactions...thank you mam..
Good reaction to the greatest ever Elvis, and beautiful voice Nina you too 👍
Thanks so much David!
