Nodirbek is maybe stronger tactically, but Nepo’s overall knowledge of chess is on another level. He, Magnus, Fabi and Hikaru are like Shang-Tsungs of modern chess. They have absorbed too many chess souls to become anyone at any moment

Daniel said that Nodirbek feared noone, but him gaining some advantage in the beginning instinctively felt he had to use those dirty tricks, with luck being in his favour too (disconnection loss), clearly not feeling strong against Ian, wheres Ian proving to be just a much more complete player, never falling into these tricks, being able to play under severe pressure both losing and winning, truly just outplayed him on the board.
Disregarding the interview (Ian is always disgusted by any disrespect or dirty play by big players), the game really showed each player’s class.

Even tho he was his enemy and clinched wins against Ian that shouldn't have happened but Ian played sloppy (which most likely made Ian furious) Ian still supported Ding during the interviews and backed him up.

Nodirbek did way too many things that could be considered disrespectful (opening with a3, trying to provoke a blunder in a time scramble with a rook sacrifice in a lost position, wasting time with rook and bishop moves in completely drawn endgames…).
I’m not saying this is a crime or even breaking the rules. I even understand why Nodirbek did what he did. It was a decent strategy and Ian maybe took it as too personal, but let’s not pretend as if he lashed out without any reason.

@@blue_red_screen that's a random point bro, whatever, every top player that plays online very often can tell when something is very off.
And yes but not breaking the rules doesn't mean you can't play unfair

Nepo is always proud, salty and cocky when he wins, and he is always angry and triggered when others behave like him, so dumb. Stop presenting him like a charismatic one, he is just disrespectful imo. (and i'm not just talking about this little Nodirbek drama, he does it with everyone)
