I could never hate J.R. He’s just too much fun😂. This guy is like the king of comeback and insults. That and the way he completely owns Barnes every time they’re on screen...poor Cliff never stood a chance...lol.
Just rewatching Dallas for first time since it was originally on,what a show. I was a faithful fan, always thought it was best ever. JR reigns supreme. One thing I didn’t remember though it’s damn windy at Southfork, hair blowing all over. This realism would never happen now. True original.
@@jrewing1512 i can not understand how he send his henchmen to go kidnap her from her mother Val n then to treat her like that. Was it that Jock & Ms Ellie wanted her in Southfork? Or just to get back to Val?
I love the way Lucy walks in her high heels because she looks like she's walking on stilts. 😂 Also, that was a great come back Lucy had with JR's first wisecrack. 😂
One of the best lines is when JR has hired a detective to investigate Peter Richards ( Sue Ellen’s young man in Season7). Detective ‘ Don’t worry sir, if he has any skeletons in his closet, we’ll find them’ JR: ‘ And if you don’t we’ll put them there!”
It's amazing to see how Larry was able to bring some traces of Major Nelson to JR. Although he did a completely different role in Dallas, brilliantly, by the way, is still possible to see on the funny side, the resemblance with Major Nelson.
They say that Larry wasn't a good actor because of his role. However, when JR was upset, angry, or sad, I had always thought that he could bring on the acting. Plus, he was great with what he did with his eyes when he was upset.
There are some others that could have been included. When a person told JR he could make the most rotten schemes seem noble he said, “That’s part of my charm.”
I understood JR's attitude toward Jamie who would proclaim how her daddy was too proud to want anything from the Ewings as she is freeloading off of them.
The Who Shot JR episode where Kristen tells JR that he doesn’t scare her and JR replies “It takes brains to know when to be scared and since that’s in short supply around here. I’m gonna help you. Now is the time to be scared.”😂😂😂
Lucy was a Ewing! She could spar and hold her own with JR and SueEllen verbal jabs.. too bad her character became uninteresting as the series got older. Larry Hagman had the best lines and delivery.. lol
@@daveb.4460 JR did not see it as that. JR saw it as protecting his and the families interests. He of course went overboard with Ray and Gary. His problem was not knowing when to turn it off. Jock said that.
JR the greatest TV villain ever on the greatest series ever. I remember there was always a competition between Dallas and Dynasty I was always a Dallas fan. Larry Hagman R.I.P.
Cliff was perfect in this show! Without him JR would not have been so great. They were the exact same guy... JR just had more money. Just like Archie Bunker and George Jefferson were the same guy. Just different colors. Amazing TV back in the day!
J.R. Ewing.....best television character EVER.
Certainly the greatest villian
I could never hate J.R. He’s just too much fun😂. This guy is like the king of comeback and insults. That and the way he completely owns Barnes every time they’re on screen...poor Cliff never stood a chance...lol.
The man we loved to hate and kind of loved at the same time. 😲
There will never be another series like this one, simply the best ever!! Absolutely love it!
Agreed! Dallas was and still is the best ever of the prime time serial dramas!
Loved Dallas and Dynasty. Really miss those shows.
Correct!
@@october65-h6e Thank you! Blessings.
@@philiplewis7252 Your welcome.
My all time favorite, over the top, fun, drama show ever!!!!!! I live in TX and I saw the bumper stickers JR for President!👏👏
Who shot JR? stickers were on every other car in 1980.
I’d say JR for President today in 2021..
@@shankarbalan3813 He’s about as alive right now as our current one 😂
J.R. Ewing would have made THE☠️MOST☠️ DANGEROUS president.☑️
All hell 👿🔥 would break loose if he lost the presidential election.
The funniest thing I can remember ever hearing J.R. say was that he didn't get ulcers - he gave them. 😁 😆
the Donn I like when Jenna came to SF, & at the dinner table, he said, “Here, you can sit here in Pam’s old chair.”
+Cat Whisperer: Well, other people gave him gunshots, so I guess they won in the end.
I laughed so hard when he said to his son: I´m the Robin Hood of the oil buisness. Take it from the poor and give it to the rich😂😂
That quote was probably taken from what producer Samuel Goldwyn once said. He is quoted as saying that.
😂😂😂
You know you're truly the villain when your own mother laughs after you get pushed in the pool.
Very true indeed at least she also thought it was LOL LOL LOL LOL
He resembled an agitated diamondback rattlesnake as he swam towards the pool patio.😡🐍
Ellie's reaction is priceless after Donna pushed JR in the pool.
when I was little, I'd watch it with my grandma in eastern europe. she hated him. I couldn't wait to see him on screen lol
Larry Hagman was great in this, r.i.p.

J.R and Lucy had a real hate relationship of back and forth always funny to see a niece talk to her uncle that way. Lol
She truly hated that man and he wasn't fond of her either.
@@jrewing1512 i can not understand how he send his henchmen to go kidnap her from her mother Val n then to treat her like that. Was it that Jock & Ms Ellie wanted her in Southfork? Or just to get back to Val?
@@rosemarylopez8493It never made sense to me either. Why would JR care so much? That’s why I always say Jock and Miss Ellie were punks to JR.
But in real life they were the best of friends, that just shows how good actors they are/were.
I love the way Lucy walks in her high heels because she looks like she's walking on stilts. 😂
Also, that was a great come back Lucy had with JR's first wisecrack. 😂
Awwww I miss Larry Hagman - I bet he had some of his cast mates laughing with all his shenanigans...
He used to drink a bottle of Champaign a day!
he was the life of the party.
Dallas became his platform
My mom used to make me record every episode and i still have them on VHS cassettes.
Worth money VHS tapes
JR may have walked away with a smirk on his face, but you know Cliff must have struck a nerve to get punched like that. 😆

Watched this as a kid in Denmark. Was on Sunday's at 7pm and the streets were EMPTY
JR ruled !!

DALLAS hat mir sehr gut gefallen, es sind tolle Schauspieler. Leider gibt es heute solche Serien nicht mehr das ist Schade.J.R.Ewing.was der beste.!.
JR Ewing the best character to ever grace our screens!! RIP Larry Hagman.
Jr he the man
JR zingers. Top of the line.
Mr. Hagman as JR... unbeatable, the guy is legendary!
There are some others that could have been included. When a person told JR he could make the most rotten schemes seem noble he said, “That’s part of my charm.”
I think Edgar Randolph said that but not sure...
I was just a kid when Dallas was originally aired and I never watched it. I recently came across it on Prime and I'm totally hooked now lol
J.R. was always my favorite Dallas character. He was intriguing in many ways. He was also witty. One of the best characters on the show.
'Don't go away mad!' Hilarious. JR may be a crook, but he's a good sport in his own way.
He is a narcarcisst insecure coward...
I understood JR's attitude toward Jamie who would proclaim how her daddy was too proud to want anything from the Ewings as she is freeloading off of them.
Yeap. I never cared for her character.

R.I.P To A Great Actor Larry Hagman, Still Miss You Always
The greatest smacktalker of all time. Long live JR and Larry Hagman!
Larry Hagman as J.R. Ewing was legendary! No one else will ever come close to that.
The Who Shot JR episode where Kristen tells JR that he doesn’t scare her and JR replies “It takes brains to know when to be scared and since that’s in short supply around here. I’m gonna help you. Now is the time to be scared.”😂😂😂
Heck yeah! Now it's time to be scared,?
That was the funniest punch I've ever seen. 😂 I don't think JR was used to throwing one.
Larry Hagman enjoyed his role as JR for he was a gentleman and a very talented actor who was very kind to others.
JR drinking milk before bed. I thought he was a wisky fan.
JR’s two favorite quotes: “I’m gonna destroy you!” And “well don’t go away mad!”
He also used to say, "Is that a fact?" :)
C. May Forgot all about that one! And destruction of the person that comment was directed at soon followed!
My parents used to watch this, and somehow i got hooked. Pretty sure i saw every episode. Gotta love JR- In retrospect sue ellen was a piece of a

“Lost another one, sugar?”
Such a great show, wish we could take a leap backwards a few decades, to simple yet funner times.
"It's amazing what a few thousand dollars can do." 😂
If you're going to be insulted by anybody, let it be JR Ewing.
Oh, he was perfect!
J.R. sure was something! Don't go away mad. Although Lucy got him back well...
The actor that plays Mitch was a great villain in guest roles like Buck Rodgers and Hart to Hart.
Did not Hate JR.... JR stood up for what he believed in and what he was taught.
Sal Paradise He was NOT taught to screw his own family. Jock would have never done that.
@@daveb.4460 JR did not see it as that. JR saw it as protecting his and the families interests. He of course went overboard with Ray and Gary.

I've been looking for that last scene for a while; where JR grins and then knocks Cliff off his chair.... Haha. Thanks for posting! I loved this show.
I laughed every week.
On my Dallas DVDs, I always fast forward, Lucy's scenes.
lucy was always stupid
Best TV characters of all time. Order doesn’t matter. JR Ewing, Archie Bunker, Tony Soprano.
JR the greatest TV villain ever on the greatest series ever. I remember there was always a competition between Dallas and Dynasty I was always a Dallas fan. Larry Hagman R.I.P.
Which character had j r kind of role in dynasty?
Alexis Carrington was the JR of Dynasty
Damn, JR was such a loveable bastard!😆
RIP, Larry Hagman.
JR was such a loveable -bastard!- * great character
“Oh JR what a terrible thing to say” lol. JR always striking the right nerve.
I loved JR. He was so witty. And that wicked grin and laugh. It would be great fun to be married to him. Bobby and Ray were boring as hell.
Bobby Ewing was a person of reason, and good common sense.
Bobby, boring? Whaaaaaat???? 🤔
This is just a start JR has so much funny moments a TV Legend RIEP Larry
Good old JR, rest in peace forever Larry
Great American Soap, not too many of them, but this is the top of the list. Would be nothing without J R
It makes sense, considering that Larry Hagman nailed it in the sitcom "I Dream of Jeannie."
the pansy was in season 2, the crook in season 3 and the pauper in season 4
Again, JR was not wrong.
Sal Paradise neither was Lucy lol
The uncle in the barn was season 1.
Plotting an assassination?....LOL!
The way JR hit cliff was to perfect. Cliff might as well have a big "L" on his forehead.
@James Murphy Because Cliff was shorter and not much of a fighter himself.
Erik Winger, didn't Edgar Randolph put JR on the floor?
Don’t go away mad....
Yes, that was really rubbing it in....J. R. specialized in that.
I think “don’t go away mad” is akin to “……..bless her heart.”
Miss ellie laughing at her son fall in pool, "he deserved it."
Andrew, he definitely deserved and EARNED a push into the pool.🤠💦👿
JR was something else I love his character
JR was a legend
Milhões de cenas a segurar um copo de whisky.
Unica cena a segurar um copo de leite.
Man Jr a damn beast always on demon 😈 time
J R always seemed to end up in the pool.
I forgot about that sucker punch at 4:00 😂
Straight menace!!! 😂😂😂
LMAO! JR fell in the pool, and everything. Mandy Winger, and Marilee Stone, he slept with all of them.
The Oil barons Ball. Always good for superb mayhem. 🙂
Nice right cross from JR to Cliff.
Great Show! I wonder how many times JR got punched in the face in the whole 13 year run of the show?
Jr didn't miss a beat. He made Dallas.
Him and Sue Ellen
I always liked Cliff!
Cliff was perfect in this show! Without him JR would not have been so great. They were the exact same guy... JR just had more money. Just like Archie Bunker and George Jefferson were the same guy. Just different colors. Amazing TV back in the day!
JR is the best tv villain ever Larry Hagman is best known for that role
Great to see some Major Nelson in JR Ewing's character. Rare to see JR throw a punch on Cliff Barnes.

"And that.... Is Dallas."
Miss Ellie, Donna, Lucy 👍👍👍
Shelby shelvet chambers and Willie Roy level jr.
Cliff got slapped and punched!
Najee Nixon, that was hilarious.
No shit?
My Gawd JR was King of the Petty 😂😂😂😂😂😂
You mean "God" I guess. :/
I always rooted for JR
LOL! I love Larry Hagman! Nobody can deny he was always RIGHT, if even he was ostensibly "mean". I hated Jamie anyway.
I love JR. Every time I see these clips, I say, "What an a$$hole!" and have a good laugh. They don't make TV like this anymore.
This is the reason Dallas lasted that long jr
What a man!!!! 😍😍😍
JR could have made even more money moonlighting as a stand up comedian around Dallas.
“oh now don’t go away mad”
Lucy was about the only one who could verbally take JR to the mat and beat him at his own game. They were equals in the verbal “burn” department!
JR knew how to twist a knife
Best show ever. Shows are so silly nowadays. Everything is political now! A joke!
3:59 Justice Punch !!

Good Ole J.R.
Lucy was definitely a Ewing brat!
JR is very provocative
Bobby had the prettiest hair and could fill out a pair of jeans heck yeah he was gorgeous and sexy
