OMG HE ANSWERED MY QUESTION I always thoguht "If I ever met Tony Shalhoub Then I would ask him if he has picked up any quirks or habits from Monk" And I wasnt expecting him to answer that question in another interview
@ShhhhhItsasecret THANK YOU FOR POINTING THIS OUT. I have diagnosed OCD and it's horrible and affects my life immensely. You can't have a "touch of it," like this guy says. I'm glad you said this.
If you know, are aware that habit and repetition can enforce things. Tony got "infected" by Monk's OCD quirks. Try to find the underlying anxities, but only gradually, the vulnrability that lies underneath... take good care of them. But also, don't be afraid of opening them up. I speak from personal experience (Asperger's and lots of anxities and quirks, which are subsiding now). You are so much stronger then you believe (not think, believe!) you are. For real. It only takes time, patience and effort. And motivation, of course.
Idk how true your statement is or is not. For habits, obsessions in general, & OCD there is a spectrum (a variety in degree and in kind). I'm not even sure whether human knowledge about the human brain and about this topic is advanced enough to make clear demarcations with no gray areas. Everyone has habits and I think most people have experienced some kind of obsession at some point. Of course it doesn't mean the average person deals with anything remotely as difficult as a person with OCD
"all of us have a touch of OCD" I hate this comment. It's so ignorant. Idiosyncrasies and OCD are different. It's true there are people with OCPD (Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder) and Pure O (Pure obsessions). But not everyone has OCD.
He says: ...and Traylor (Natalie Teeger) just leans over to me. Inevitably Traylor would go to me and go "DVD... DVD", and that's her way of saying 'this should be on the DVD special features.
Ted Levine is my favourit actor
"Welcome home convict, that's a very touching story. my hemorrhoids bleed for you" Louis
All I can say: it must be such fun to be captain Stottlemeyer. How Ted can make pent up frustration tangible... it's a gift! 😂😂
Is that... sierra springs on the tables :D
Brilliant show. I got my husband addicted. We watch it ever day and just repeat the series. Love it. Looking forward to movie.
Omg are they making a movie out of the show??
@@malalalalala91 they did. Last December. It's on Peacock
Yeah, it was called "Mr. Monk and the Actor" and the actor in question was played by Stanly Tucci, one of Tony Shalhoubs good friends.
