Hats off to this guy for his machining and welding prowess, not to mention his blueprinting ability. From my perspective, it would appear more advantageous to cast and machine a cylinder block and crankcase assembly than to chop up four cases and then weld and machine them together to make a complete engine. Perhaps, I'm just thinking mass production, where as he just wants to complete one unit in his small workshop. He may not have a foundry or casting experience, but if he did, he could turn out more of those precious little gems and even supply them to smaller frame builders for a profit.

Beautiful work on the cylinders. It would have been too much work to fabricate a "one-piece" head, but that would be something nice to see in the future.
That's a sweet conversion. Are you using splash oiling on the pins? It will work for low rpm like under 3400, probably similar balance limit. Dual points with wasted spark firing is the easiest way to fire the plugs. Fires 2 plugs same time, one on squeeze one on blow. I love this stuff. When it comes to engines there's nothing you can't do you're a genius
Proper machining skills, no CNC, all done by hand and calculated with his own brains.
I was thinking at some point how he would get the crank shaft in as the crank case can't be split.
And then he came up with the tunnel crank shaft principle, enabling to slide the shaft in from the side.
