Looks great and definitely a nice weight saving. What happens with the poles if/when you park up on a rocky surface without any soil to peg them in?

Tarp is for cover, a quick overnighted it stays in the bag. I guess I will be avoiding rocky places to park, I do have a set of screw pegs that my impact gun will get into the ground.

Here in Portugal the earth turn to brick during the summer, so bring a drill and you will be ok!

I have screw pegs, and use my impact gun to drive in the screw pegs 👍🏻

Very nice! It would be hard to say you are “roughing it” in that setup! I forget, do you have a rear camera so that you don’t have to be concerned with the gear blocking your view out the back? Thanks for the video!

I do have a RVC. So I can see what’s behind me when I back in. Roughing it, maybe, it’s still camping,

This has to be set in England. After watching the first few minutes I can suggest that what you really need (based on your concerns) is a 270 degree awning with your swag on a stretcher. Easy to put the awning away if you need to drive during a camp stay and comfort in your swag. Also, You can easily zip a wall on the awning if you want to. Take a look at 30 second awning at Brendale in Australia as an example. All the best mate

270 don’t fit, they jut out front and back. Need 2M and very few around here in the U.K. if any decent quality. I have a stretcher, will show that next week

I have to agree that tarp is gonna be a pain in the bum to put up all the time let alone trying to do it in the wind and rain!how about the batwing compact 270 awning? looks like it is exactly 2m long?

very impressive and informative and very worth the watch! What's the bed size of the single and double swag? And what's the weight? If only ARB would make a double swag with a bit more headroom, like in a soft top rtt, the days of the rtt would be over soon I bet. 😁 Perfect setup!

My ultimate channel cross over would be Mark from this channel, Sam from @SamsMotors and Christian and Vera from LT Time @Vera_and_Christian. It would be great to see Christian getting into L322's as well as D3's and D4's
