Thank you for the history of Alfredo sauce. Most of our Italian American dishes were created by our immigrant great grandparents or grandparents because they simply could not find the ingredients to make the foods they were accustomed to when they came to America. The butter sauce was more than likely a rendition of the Aglio e Olio dish most Italian Americans grew up eating. Which is one of my favorites. Very excited to see you create this Alfredo using a canteen! Thank you, your videos are always filled with great content and recipes for the canteen cooking enthusiasts!
Thank you very much, Mr. Pavolini ! I believe my 13 yr old son and I will try this on our next day hike. This way, when the other boys in our group are eating "boil-em-ups" (Meals where you boil water to add to rehydrate them), we can surprise them with an actual meal. Or maybe have all the boys take some of the supplies, to divide a bigger load, so everyone gets a great meal. The pasta will give them the carbs necessary for the hike, the chicken will supply them with protein to help their growing muscles. Thank you, Sir ! Keep the great videos coming ! I will start taking my 2 yr old out there soon as well. Thank you for a the great, and more importantly, wholesome videos.
Good job, Donny!! As a single guy these easy recipes make a weekend camping cool and easy! I do all my cooking on an alcohol stove, or two. Never bought those propane canisters and flow jets. Thanks. I am keeping most of these video tips for Canteen Cup Tuesday in my mind.
+Dannytheman Mac You will amaze yourself Danny! Two bits of advice, plan your meal well, and don't let your mind wander when cooking. I do that sometimes I'm afraid. Dreadful results! You will enjoy this brother! Take care.

Donny, that has to be the most impressive canteen cup Tuesday meal made to date! Beats the hell out of my garbage eggs breakfast meal I made this week. Welcome to the Club! I think ya made Homer mad! You are gonna be cooking for him now!
tip: add a small can of no stick butter flavored spry to you kit for use on your grill plates makes cooking meat so much nicer. question: clearly the chicken was preseasoned what did you use? suggestion x2: use a little more cheese and a little less butter and or let sauce cool a bit for thicker more creamy out come. Notes: nice you mentioned the adding more cheese at the end. I love olives green and black so great touch there. and last but not least i have to say it looked fantastic and im use it tasted even better.
I just want everybody to know that I have had the wool pulled over my eyes. Donny has always told me that he didn't know how to cook and now I know better. from now on I get to sit back and tend to the fire and let you cook for me. you have done messed up now

Cheezehead Chris Chris he better because now I know that he can cook
That was kind of cool. When you put that large chicken breast on the grill, and it cooled it so fast that the grill started to contract and curl.
Nice bit of cooking there mate hope you and yours are all well ATB Keith
Looks fantastic!! Maybe us a small amount of cornstarch to thicken the sauce!!
