  • THIS VIDEO WAS CREATED BEFORE THEY LIMITED AP2 WEAPONS TO JUST TWO. I suggest you take the Servitor and Pistolier as your two AP2 options. Breachers and Arbites are quite good now as the secondary operatives.
    IMPORTANT: Blast does NOT bounce Quarry since Quarry only bounces when the operatives are removed which is after all blast attacks are resolved.

      @@VentrueMinis Ruthless Efficiency is on their datacards, much like Breachers have Void Armour on theirs, and so can benefit from it even as an Ancillary Support!
      I think there are some great utility options Exaction Squad can uniquely provide. The Malocator gives you another avenue to create crits (which benefit your whole team against a target), which can stack with the Mystic buff - and even without that, he can do a mission action or pick up for 1 less AP, which makes him great for objective play and is the only Ancillary Support operative with that ability available to Inquisition (plus, he has a 4/4 shotgun). The Revelatum gets a sweet pre-game move, a meme long-range pistol, and an ability to make an enemy count as engage for nearby allies. The neat thing there is that he can use that revealing ability and then run back, providing the Counts-as-Engage effect to your shooters further back since he doesn't have to stay within 6" of the target the whole time, just for using the ability at first. The Castigator is a solid all-rounder operative, with decent melee and shooting, some survivability with his 6+++ and ignore modifiers, and the potential to put someone under arrest and use them as a hostage (if you can survive the melee). The Marksman is solid, particularly once he is in position and able to use Take Aim, which gives him Balanced (and this can stack with Quarry!) 2 re-rolls plus the potential for Mystic/Malocator buffs can give very reliable damage/MW output. Subductors are great tanks and front-liners in general, and can get even crazier with the Interrogator/Tome-Skull auras.
      Aside from these more unique operatives, taking Exaction Squad still gives you access to a Medic, and one with a 4/4 shotgun at that, as well as a Comms that is, while not quite on Kasrkin Vox level, still better than the Comms options in other Ancillary Supports due to not having a 6" range restriction. You do miss out on the abundance of AP weaponry that Vet Guard and Kasrkin can provide, but you can take a Grenade Launcher Gunner set to permanent Krak mode, essentially, and, combining that with the Marksman, can kind of imitate the Sniper+Gunner set ups of Vet Guard/Kasrkin.

    I found much success with taking at least 1 flamer in the ancilliary, (vet guard or sisters) for dealing with bunched up enemies, and using the multi melta on the servitor for sniping important targets. I found that most people just won't bunch up against the plasma cannon, making the higher single target damage more useful.

    Correction, if the debuff tome is active and a friendly is within 2" of that tome then if the friendly operative is shot or attacked, then its -1 for the attacker. So basically, the endurant moves up, shielding the interrogator so both the endurant and himself will be attacked by -1 dice for shooting :D

    Heyo, Dan Barton here.
    I'm a fan of putting the attack buff on the leader. He can charge, and then be safe from shooting. Skull can't. You could bait a charge from your opponent there to set up a servitor blast, or just stab them with another guy, at +1 dice. That'll make the questkeeper reliable or the death world vet super reliable. And the defensive buff is best used where they're sitting safely behind cover, since it doesn't need visibility. The skull is actually way harder to get into place next to enemies. Personally I think you're under rating Kasrkin, since they are a bit tougher, but the super comms value is very high on Octarius and ITD due to the doors. Sisters are a bit meh, I guess they would make the reroll ploy good? But no Vratine faceplate... so.... yeah. And exaction do have a good place, against cults, goats, and void dancers, 3 very strong teams at the moment.
    I'm not a fan of the questkeeper. Injury is not worth the extra wounds other melee operatives yield from having a form of damage negation.
    Zealot frag is a combo? I wouldn't use it... but it's there.
    Hexorcist... good against teams super reliant on rerolls I guess. Also goats if they're allowed to switch Frenzy off, but we'll have to wait for the FAQ.

    • @VentrueMinis
      @VentrueMinis  Год назад +1

      Really like that analysis on the buff. Might try swapping it next game, it feels super awkward to set up but yours might be a bit easier. The value seems better with the attack buff on the skull but the set up is so much harder as you said.

  • @luckylibtard8731

    I think you’re underestimating the quest keeper and over estimating the enlightener purely just because of the difference in their physical Melee weapons and 5 fnp that means he can consistently trade into elites, including intercessors, and against weenie teams. He just absolutely shreds them especially if he has medic support against mid range teams like novitiates, and Hunter clade he’s amazing
