Yeah alright, I'm blown away by how much I love this team. As a Vet Guard nerd, this is a brilliant bit of flavor change. Time to no life this team when I can get them.
They're super fun, not busted but you can do some funny strong things

Awesome video.. Was really curious about the proper build strategy for this team and this helped a lot. Since I have Octarius I'll be pairing Vet Guard with em. Hoping this box will sway one of my locals to run the narrative

I've got a box of Delaque coming to build the extra Agents with. That, plus 4 spare Guard bodies after doing Ancillary, I reckon it'll work.

Sounds like a fun and flavourful team! And I agree that it will take time to figure out the best way to play it. But that's part of the fun for me. And just wondering.... Will master crafted autopistol equipment in Interrogator not stack with Tome Skull buff making the pistol hit really hard? And perhaps mystic to help an extra shot go through?
They are! It can stack but it's a lot of work for a 2/3 damage attack where you can just buff other stuff instead
Absolute Authority is probably most toxic play in the game unfortunately . Remember when people were upset that Arbites can take away their Scouting? Those good days :(
Yeah, won't be surprised if it goes to once per game or 2CP
What team (not roster, just looking for a all around team to use for one-off matches) do you recommend then? Looks like some changes have been made so wanted to check if you had an updated opinion on what to bring. I would like either Kasrkin or Veteran Guardsmen, but which operatives would be good?
Why make the scions 4+ if they don’t have rerolls or elite points? They’re just useless kasrkin and arguably even more guardsmen at that point unless I’m missing something. They have a near negligible durability boost over vet guard and have the same comms as the Kasrkin. Very disappointed how they handled the ancillary support. The specialist seem pretty fun tho

The Penal Legionannaire gets relentless against anyone that is missing 1 wound. That's interesting, even if it isn't amazing.

What verteran guard operatives would you advise taking with your inquisitorial agent picks?
I like taking gunners, demo, comms, bionic arm and either medic or zealot. I take 2 troopers for loot as well

There's something profoundly funny about the scions being 4+ BS after the whole Kasrkin-can't-be-just-4+BS meltdown that people had.
Now the cycle can repeat itself again 🤣
Kasrkin get Elite which more than balances it out, Scions don't
Hmmm, so if you deny a ploy with Absolute Authority, it's not technically "used," so the Autosavant would not generate the CP, yes?

How work savant when I use absolute authority? Did I get cp because for example they used send time just a scratch but I block it or not?

Hey i just wanted to ask if you take kasrkins can you use your faction ability on trooper? becaue he has in datacard that he can spend 1 free elite point thanks for answer
Only on the Trooper as they have it on their datacard
The Trooper is still not able to use that free elite point, since they loose the Kasrkin keyword if they join the Inquisition kill team.

@@dragonofdojima5604 Void armor never mentions any keyword, since it's inbuilt on their data cards. Elite points however is tied to the Kasrkin keyword :)
So what are the recomended operatives for Veteran Gardsmen and Kaserkin you would make?
Basically gunners, comms, demo for both then bionic arm, zealot, recon kasrkin and 2 vet guard troopers

Oh medic for both, plasma, melta and grenade for VG, only melta and plasma for kasrkin
The leader is weak, but it's really easy to score 2VP from investigate lead imo. You do the same kind of juggle as with Kasrkin's vital objective, while you are not really missing a vital operative on the battlefield. And he should survive unless you get completely overrun.
Investigate lead is very map dependent imo

No, that still trumps Scrutiny
20:10 confidant is only 3/4 damage, unlike pretty much every other chainsword in the game!

I kinda feel like this team lives and dies by the ancillary support options. Regardless of their rules the operatives themselves seem very weak and easy to remove. In my experience, teams with 5+ saves either have high wounds, an additional rule for keeping themselves alive like the Farstalker Kinband with Rogue, or at least above average combat capabilities. I suppose it'll come down to how they really get used, but I'd be worried about getting tabled playing them, especially since every unit except the Gun Servitor has to get close to be able to do damage.
They're strong but live and die on the support

It seems the scalpers are charging like $100+ for this kill team but luckily my 3D printer does it for $14 thanks to Redmaker for creating some excellent proxy models for me to play with. I think I'll combine them with some Vostroyans for veterans and see what happens.

So kasrkin don’t get elite points right? So then why play them over vet guard ever?
No elite points but you get their specialists rules. So their comms is better for Into the Dark, one of them has a poximity mine and the free dash etc

Love your videos and commentary but find it quite hard to follow along with these reviews whenever you just read the rules out loud like you do here. If you instead explained what each ability or unit did in your own words, perhaps with similar techniques that you’ve used in your ”how to play [kill team]” vids, I think these reviews would be easier to comprehend. Cheers, still love to watch though!
I explain after reading the rule out just so it's clear. Otherwise only summarising can lead to confusion
