Breaking Bad is a work of Art. The story telling and cinematography, the camera angles and use of colors for each character is outstanding. This maybe the best drama series ever made.

Walter killing krazy 8 is one of the most powerful moments of the show
I'd argue it's one of the most visceral and realistic strangulation scenes in all of Hollywood and TV. Breaking Bad being all scientific it showed the brutal nature and length of the process in a rather realistic fashion. In most shows strangling someone = 3-5 second scenes of something around the victims neck and then they close their eyes and pass. But Breaking Bad went all out, the detail they included down to someones blood capillaries in the eyes bursting, which does occur in most instances of it in real life.
@@yakivpopavich Choking someone unconscious can be done in as little a a second with proper technique. Most chokeholds squeeze the carotid artery. This restricts blood flow to the brain so it doesn't matter if the blood is ozygenated. People just think it's unrealistic because they think chokeholds are supposed to restrict breathing.

That is why this show is so good cause it's very real and raw. With other shows we're like "alright kill the bad guys" but here we realise that full extent of what it is to kill someone and it's not easy and when you do it, it's ugly. Lola you are very bright, the whole thing about the soul, the missing part from the plate, very interesting.
I can't wait for you guys to get deep into the show.

This is the most complete tv series ever made.
Great reaction. Love how you connected Walt's conversation with the chemistry lady to the dissolved 'human body' (what makes up a human body) and Walt's moral decisions (missing the soul) throughout the episode. Many reactors miss that connection.
Can't wait for the day Lola and Milena decide they NEED to be upload two episodes of "Breaking Bad" a week.
I know y'all recently started Season 2 of the Boys, but that woman in the flashback with Walter was also on the Boys apart of that organization that roped Deep into it with Fresca beverages.
She's called Gretchen in this show, don't know her name in The Boys though.

Walter remembering the chemistry of what makes up a human body as he's cleaning up a human body I think is a way of him telling himself there's no soul it's just chemistry trying to make himself feel better about it

One of the many reasons Breaking Bad was great is because of how realistically it treats violence and mental and emotional trauma. When people kill someone, or die on this show it usually has a lasting impact on the characters involved. Countless examples of it in the show, where as in other TV shows people will shoot guys and get shot and next episode be back like nothing happened!. But not on Breaking Bad, Vince's writing is way too good for that.

Notice how Walt's mood in the car changes after the "nothing but chemistry here" line. Its as if he snapped back to a no guilt zone. A sort of "why am I feeling guilty for killing this guy, he's just a body with no soul" look at how nonchalant he is as he turns the key in the ignition before driving off as a contrast to how guilty he felt before. That chemistry line was his "justification"

I think the reason the acid didn't eat through the toilet is because it's diluted by all the water in there but I am not sure if it works that way
Seeing you two ladies react to this story is very similar to my thoughts the first time I saw this. Something that I also felt was a revulsion that I was empathizing with this man who is clearly making bad choices. I had a totally mixed reaction to this man who is rationalizing ever more abhorrent choices and actions. Yet at the same time I felt sympathy and a fascination with what this character would do next because each step down this path creates a larger web of deceit that Walt has to hide from his family.
I am revolted by what Walt is doing and at the same time I get sucked into the amazingly rich story!!!

Almost all reactors miss this implication, because it's uniquely American I think. Walt is pulled over on a highway overpass because he's literally so mentally fucked from the Crazy 8 situation he's contemplating jumping off it and just killing himself. A lot of people in the US kill themselves this way sadly.

Whats funny is if Krazy 8 just let Walter release him without trying to fight, he could have informed on Walt and gotten him busted anyway. But I suppose that wouldn't get revenge for his Cousin.

The captive should try to reveal something about himself that´s very incriminating, then Walter would have to share that info with some for the captive unknown people that will share that evidence with the police IF Walter or his family would be hurt in any way. So if the captive hurt Walter or his family after release, he will go to jail for the rest of his life. That way Walter would be able to release him. But there would still be a risk (The captive could for example hurt Walter and his family and then change identity and live on the run), but I think it´s the best option if you really don´t want to kill the captive.
