    I know your video says this won’t work with bulky yarn but right now I’m making a scarf with Wool Ease Thick and Quick weight 6 super bulky yarn, and this method actually worked like a charm. Very happy I came across this video. Thank you!

    I’m making my first crochet blanket for my first granddaughter and Ihave a wonderful friend guiding me. When I needed to start second and third skeins of yarn, your method is what I used.

      @@susanvampressqueencolvin4721 You need to make sure to overlap the yarns enough, the they don’t. I have a couple of newer videos about this and on them I talk about this more but RUclips keeps pushing the old one to viewers!

    Like Jeaneane, I have also been crocheting a long time. I'm now 64 and have never seen this before! I will be using this method for my knitting as well, it will save having to sew in all those ends. Just goes to show you never stop learning!

    Wonderful video. Short sweet and too the point. And most of all very helpful. I appreciate u not over explaining it and trying to show us how to do this like we are complete idiots and need it explained to us in too many overly confusing little steps. This was a wonderful and effective video to teach me what I was looking for. And u didn’t waste 20 minutes of my time teaching me something that can be taught in two. I appreciate u.

    That is so cool! When I first learned to crochet I just tied the ends together. Then I learned the proper way to change yarn, but it was always so tedious because you have to be very very careful to cut the right piece of yarn and you also have to weave in the ends. This way is so much easier! Thank you!

    Alba name is Ruby I'm left thank you very very much for doing this and because you know what I always had to tie a knot and I hate the not so I am going to do this and not just that it actually goes into your peace and all you have to do is cut the end of what a brilliant idea and I've been crocheting ever since I was 15 and now I'm 60 and I thank you you're never too old to learn anything and I don't know all the time I really enjoy it I don't watch all the videos of crocheting but there are certain ones that just can't you just what you need and do it in a nice pace and explain everything that you need to know to make it so easy and you are that to me may you always be blessed by God and may you always have good in your life and I'll talk to you soon I'm looking up another video cuz I'm going to have a granddaughter by the end in the beginning of June so I've been looking for dresses and I've been making some I like him I think it's called back a stitch I'm not sure of her Channel and then Jolla I like her also

    thank you so much for this fantastic tutorial!! It has always bugged me to tie knots and cut off feet/yards of yarn in projects changing from one yarn to another.. with this we not only save the time it takes to stop and tie knots and weave in ends but little to no wasted yarn.. it's a win win in my book :D

    I've done something similar (to avoid a knot) and it works well. And as you've said, as long as the yarn is long enough, it should be ok after washings. If it's too short it will eventually come out.

    This is so great! I'm in the middle of a project using slippery yarn. I used the magic knot and it came apart after I had completed 4 rows of the celtic weave. Had to take it all apart. Thank you for this wonderful video. I'm going to use this from now on!!

      That's great! If your yarn is slippery, make sure you overlap it quite long.

    TY, this is my favorite way to change colors or join another ball of yarn. It is like a Russian join without a needle. I love it!
