Why did I ‘knot’ know about #4!!! It seems so obvious and yet I’ve never seen it. Genius. I’m doing it from now on crochet police or no crochet police👮🏻Thank you!
This is so helpful, thank you! I had a pattern that didn’t specify how to add new yarn after fastening off the last round so this is just what I needed to find.
I have used the 2 slip stitch methods for many years. The last 2 are new to me. I will give them a try. I have crocheted over the tails for so long I can't remember when I learned it. I also knit over tails. I hate sewing in tails. Having to do that prevents me from finishing projects. Thanks
I clicked the link in your description to go to your Instagram page but it said the account was no longer available. I was hoping to follow but I was also wondering what pattern you were working on here. Do you have a blog?
Hi - I’m sorry about that. I changed the name and didn’t think to fix that on my older videos. I’m still on Instagram. You can find me @playhookywithme . I don’t have a blog yet but it’s on my todo list . Thanks for asking 💕 I was working on this in the video: How to Crochet a Sunburst Granny Square and the "Join as You Go" Method (Easy) ruclips.net/video/x4zLlHCP1PM/видео.html
I am so happy that you hold your yarn te same way as I do. I have been watching people holding their finger so far away from their work to hold tension, I was wondering if I was doing it wrong. Thank you for this video. Even tho I am crocheting for over 15 years now, I'm still not done playing with different techniques. Especially now I am learning the English crochet terms. ❤️
You’re definitely not alone! 😀💕 I talk more about it here in this video. How I Hold My Hook and Yarn (+ IMPORTANT Message for Beginners) ruclips.net/video/CbD1LDHRgWA/видео.html That’s what is so wonderful - always something new to learn! I’ve been trying lately to read Japanese crochet diagrams 😂😂😂🧶 Thanks for writing!
Love all of these hacks and ideas to simplify and to keep your work nice and neat! Do you use more cotton yarn than acrylic? If so, what cotton do you prefer? All of your work looks so neat.
Thank you so much 😀 I like to try everything. I started using acrylic yarn because I could find such beautiful colors. Lately I’ve grown to love cotton and cotton blends because of the great stitch definition. Most of the recent videos I’m using cotton and my favorite is “I love this cotton yarn” by hobby lobby . But I’m experimenting, trying to find others. I’m really enjoying comfy worsted cotton by knit picks . I also love wool and wool blends and I get those from knit picks as well . ❤️
I’ve been tying on since I first picked up crocheting, I’ve never heard of the other methods, thank you for showing these! I’ll definitely try the 2 standing stitch😁
Very helpful. Not many people on youtube are showing how to do this in crochet. Thank you.
Thank you 🧶💕

That method at 2:20 of fastening on with a double crochet is fantastic! It's perfect for the projects I'm working on right now!
So glad! 😀🧶❤️

How did I never consider to literally tie it on ... especially with amigurumi you can't see it at the back anyway. ❤
😆🤗
Awesome! Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for sharing these joining options. 😊
This video helps a lot!!! Thank you so much for this tutorial!
Which brand of crochet hook do you use?
Kelly Tweddle Ergo Crochet Hooks by Boye (local superstore)
Thank you that was so helpful. ❤

This is amazing thank you so much!! If I can put rub the fashion police for adding pockets to my clothes I’m sure I can dodge the crotchet police!!

Nice colour combos, soothing.
Hi, what do you mean when you say the words "darn in"? Do you mean you use a needle with a big whole to weave in the tail? Thank you.
Yes - I meant weaving in the ends. Nothing more than that. I’m an old lady and was using an old word 😅
@@PlayHookywithMe thank you for clarifying
Super helpful. Thank you!
Thank you 😀
