I’ve had my truck for 14 years. Never knew it was that simple. Thank you.

Sir you are very welcome, and thank you for your comment.
Please subscribe. I try to make videos that are beneficial to vehicle owners especially owners of Armadas and Titans.

I really appreciate these tutorials. I have an 08 SE that like yours didn't come with much of anything, not even a tow hitch. So it's nice to see how to make the truck somewhat like an LE. Gonna try it this weekend.

One of the first things I installed was a receiver hitch and the vehicle end trailer plug. The good thing with the Armada and Titans is that all the wiring is already there. There's a plug tucked up under the rear of the vehicle that the vehicle end trailer plug pigtail simply plugs into. You then go to the dealer and purchase the required trailer relays which again, simply plugs in under the hood in their marked locations.

It's funny how options that charge you hundreds more are usually just a quick add on. From an engineering standpoint it makes sense; how much are you really saving by having multiple different wiring harnesses, you know? But the amount extra they charge you is always amusing. They are already making the turn signal stocks and the wiring harness with a bumper already made for lights yet they charge you as if you were having a special switch and harness made.

Yep. Adding certain options is even simpler on most newer vehicles. Our new JL didn't come with remote start. To add it all we need is a scan tool to go into the computer and toggle the remote start "on", then order the key fob with the remote start button on it.

Around these parts finding a Armada or Titan in a junkyard is like finding a needle in a haystack.
You can get a brandnew switch at O'Reilly for well under a hundred dollars.

These trucks are so reliable they rarely end up in the junkyard😅.

@@TheNissanJunkie Armadas are very popular overseas. Insurance companies in the US will total a vehicle for things that in some other countries would be considered an easy fix. As such, many "totalled" Armadas and Titans (mostly Armadas) are sold at insurance auctions and wind up getting shipped overseas.

Thanks for the video. Just changed mine out after I installed foglights and didn't realize I would need another switch. I thought it was good because it was already prewired! What grease should be put on it if needed? I bought a used one from eBay and the older one still has grease like yours. The new one is drier now. Don't know if that will help with the longevity.

Thank you for your comment. Get some "dielectric grease". You can find it at most auto parts stores.

What is the process if you have a 2WD? How hard is it to wire them? Any idea?

    • @97TRAKIN
      @97TRAKIN  3 года назад +1

Did you check to see if you had the wiring? If you do not have the wiring from factory, most generic fog light kits come with everything you'd need. The relay (included in most kits) is the heart of the system.

Brah… wish you would have typed the part number…. Your shaky and far as camera makes it really hard to see it

As I have stated in the past, most of my videos are impromptu. This is not a money-making venture for me. Trying to film with one hand or at all slows me down, but I attempt it anyway just to help others.
But since you asked so politely, I paused the video and typed it out for you, "18- 1179".
If you go to minute mark 11:22 I show the part number clearly in the center of the screen, just pause the video.
