Lexus NX: Can Run Flat tires be repaired ???

For the current NX models including the 2024 Lexus NX350h AWD factory installed with run-flat tires. Whether you like or dislike these tires, it's the only tires with the NX vehicles. Run flats can be costly, offer substantial rides, and are quite expensive to replace even though you can drive for an estimated 50 miles with a flat tire. However, driving over 50 miles may render the tire unrepairable.
I know many people may not like run-flat tires, so please post comments if you don't like run-flat tires so we can all learn.
In the video, I'll walk through the tires installed on the NX including the pros/cons, the price of tires, what my tire repair looked like, and an article on run-flat tire repair.

I've been driving a BMW X3 with Continental RF tyres for 12 years. I can't take them any more! It's like 'where's my suspension?' The ride is HARD. My partner's new Kia Sportage has such a soft ride. All tyres are close to replacing, I will go to normal tyres with an inflator.

Thanks for sharing. I'm not sure I will go RFT when the OEM tires wears out. I already put an inflator kit inside the trunk also.

I am the type of person who will buy a full size spare with matching factory rim. Then I don’t have to worry about driving less than 50 miles per hour for only 50 kms. That is Not convenient.

Run flat tires are the bigest unfair way to reduce weight on a car. For me, and probably everyone else it'll be something you have to worry about every time you drive and who wants that ??? Yes it may help Lexus to claim 0.0001% better fuel economy but certainly not better for the consumer...

Almost didn't buy given the run-flat tires. I can swap them out after these are worned out I guess. No spare but I have an inflator kit already. Thanks for sharing.
