My mother taught me to paint with watercolors on paper when I was a child. And now I want to draw digitally. I came across your videos, thanks for sharing the tutorials!
your videos are the only ones that made me pick up my ipad right away and start drawing and painting. it is so fun and it gives me a lot of freedom, which is really helping me start my art journey. also, you are so talented!!✨✨✨⭐️ i painted this and i love it 🥰
you are so welcome 🤩 I don't know if I mentioned it in the video, but it looks really nice of you make all the houses just shades of one color (like blue or something). It's kind of like a nice contrast between simple colors and the complex and detailed houses
Very educational video. Thank you!! Small tip: I would copy the houses first and then add the smoke. Now the smoke from the top layer is blowing to the right and the bottom layer to the left, that is not right. Haha. :)
Saw your video and went straight to your shop! 🤍 I got the paper texture and i realised that I already had you me brushes 🫶🏼 great content and great shop!
haha!! This happens a lot - I think a lot of artists might have original found the brushes through Creative Market. Thank you so much for your support ☺️
After several tries and patience I finished this cute houses painting. I love the results. I would say about 89% similar from your painting. Thank you very much for this great tutorial!
I love landscape scenes, like the one last month. The artist is using one of my favorite paper textures, FORESTER paper. I like this because of its natural texture and cool effect while I’m painting. I also like his sets of brush, very easy to use. I couldn’t wait to paint this landscape but I have to finish the Forest Scenes first.
Thank you so much! This tutorial was about 1.5 hours long but I edited it down considerably. let me know if anything was too fast or too slow. I'm trying to make the most efficient tutorials I can 🙏🙏
Thank you so much for the tutorial! And i'd really appreciate it if you could show us the exact colors used in the videos. there are color differences between devices and sometimes i can get really confused.
Thank you so much ☺️ Sometimes I'm not sure how to implement a color pallet for complicated video, do you think it would be ok if it was unlabeled? just like a list of pretty much all the colors I used, or do you think it would be useful if I put the exact color number somewhere on the screen while I was painting?
Thank you so much for replying! Actually I think it would be very helpful that you just quickly switch to the Value interface when a color is selected. So you don't have to make a special list and it won't add much to your editing work. After all, you have made all the great tutorials for us and I'm so grateful!@@calvinatdrifterstudio8438
Thank you so much 😁I have used a lot of different screen protectors and I have noticed a few things. If you are an expert at installing screen protectors, the thin plastic ones are ok. The paperlike screen protector is what I have now and Im not a huge fan but it works pretty well. It looks like the paperlike will wear out very quickly because I already can see lines from my pencil scratching into it. The best screen protector I have ever used are the cheap matte-glass ones. These are very thick and very easy to install. They also never EVER wear out and basically you can use it forever as long as you don't drop a quarts crystal on it (oops). When they crack, they really crack and you will need to change it. The other bad thing about the matte glass is the texture on them is kinda crispy and frosted, but it's not usually super consistent. You can see the matte effect is uneven and for some people this is very annoying. I personally don't really notice it when I'm painting but it shows up in the video when I film my iPad.
@@calvinatdrifterstudio8438 Thanks so much for this very useful information, Calvin! I will continue to support your channel. ☺ Really enjoy your videos very much.
I think it's ok to take it slowly, traditional painting has a feeling of it's own even if you do it in Procreate. Over time you can incorporate some of the extra tools in procreate but I think it's best to do what feels right for you ☺️
@@calvinatdrifterstudio8438 Thank you for your kind answer☺️. I think I would like to learn some more skills, so I will watch more of you. It is explained very clearly and for the first time I understood it😅. Have a nice weekend😊
Very nice work and many thanks for video! At the past i bought this brush set but i could not get this type painting result on normal procerate paper. Should i buy also this paper effect to get this brush painting result? Or am i making mistake on something ? 😅
Thank you so much! The brush kit comes with a paper - I can send you the exact one from this video and we can make sure everything is working perfectly. Just message me one Etsy and we can chat easily there and I can attach files. I'm so grateful for your support🙏
hi☺️ You can turn off that effect - if you open the paper texture group, there is a layer at the top called 'on/off paper background'. This controls the paper effect in the white areas
Lovely
I love your videos, they are too cute! You should paint a frog and some mushrooms 🍄🐸🍄
This is so amazing. Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorials.
Thursdays are my favourite RUclips day
awww thank you so much

awww thank you so much ☺️ This video coming this Thursday is somewhat similar, I think you will like it too!
Actually, I like almost all of your videos. I already painted about 24 of your cute animals. Cats alone, about 11.
Thanks Calvin. Your tutorials are always great and help me along on my procreate journey. Always look forward to the next one. 🇦🇺

Lovely. When u do the copy paste of the houses the smoke goes the wrong way how would you fix that?
Hello! I love your videos so much, I've watched all of them. May I know what screen protector you are using? Thanks so much.

I paint with procreate, but I never use the tools, I just paint like I do with real paint😅. Thank you I learned a lot❤

Hi, I love your work! I bought the watercolour brushes but it’s not working well :(
i have the same problem. i asked for the paper effect maybe it is because of the paper 🤔 have you tried with this paper effect?
@@ozoz5264 thanks, I gonna try it :)
I have a question, Calvin. Once im ready to print, how do i make sure the paper texture only shows on the design and not on the white background. 😊
