1:22 I've got a clarification on the pinned comment, the issue isn't as bad as I showed in the video, but it was easy to trigger if the screw in the bottom panel is even just half a turn away from being tight. I'll see how the 2023 one is soon!

I'm a gamer student looking for a laptop and I'm completely lost.
I had my eyes the MSI GF64 RTX 4050 with the i5-12450H but your review made the laptop look really bad and not worth buying but I couldn't get a better deal and since i live in a relatively poor country I don't have a variety of products to choose from and couldn't find the Acer Nitro you recommended and the closest 40 series GPU laptop is 1300$.
to be clear I have a TIGHT budget of less than 900$ I tried to push it so I can get a 40 series GPU laptop but now I don't really know what to do?
get the GF63 or give up the 4050 GPU and get a 3060
I Iike your videos a lot...they are very clear. At 840€ is this a good choice ? I want to play Starfield and FS2020...I wonder if it is worth upgrading to 4060 if it's just for a couple of FPS. On the other hand I would like to keep my laptop for several years.

What I like in RTX 4000 series that they have good performance even in low TDP modes.
They don't scale that much in high TDP modes but power in low TDP is impressive
It is all because of 6gb vram.

in aud this cost 1699 (4050) and 1899 (with i7), i was thinking this or the gigabyte g5 (4050) which is 1899 or wait for the nitro 16. ive heard its going to be around 1899 but i think it might be around 2000. defininetly cant wait for you to make a review on it

I like how new gen CPUs are easier to cool, even if it has higher power consumption.
But I don't like idea of increasing power consumption, because laptop still is laptop and should do work without plugged in

@@alper694 Played fortnite dont remember the fps but 90-120 on COD MW2 Multiplayer. It does get pretty hot while gaming besides that havent had any issues. Played some other games but they are not that demanding.

Hello, very good video, I have the same one but it runs at an average of 73 degrees with an ambient temperature of 20 degrees.

I commented in one of your other videos also, what would be a better option for the same range price (800-900$), this one or the Gigabyte G5? Gigabyte has better GPU and CPU, but the temperatures are almost 10-20ºC higher than this. Thanks bro again for the video.

Just bought this with 12450 and rtx 4060 for 756 euro.. it's pretty cool, i got a great price. i tested it in elden ring, apex, rocket league and valheim, for some reason the system sets all the graphics to the highest values and you get fps drops, but just decrease the values and you gain a lot ...

You first have to disable fsr to activate dlss.

This laptop has one fan for cooling and 45w GPU. Will it be a problem for me for next 3 years? I am just playing games and I am a hybrid worker. I don't need num pad or better screen.

idk if people share my opinion but 70 class cards (mobile) should get 10gb by now, we had 8gb since 1070 which is nearly 7 years ago
Yeah but, they really should’ve doubled it to 8GB. 6GB and below isn’t gonna last you very much anymore. DLSS can only take you so far.
Considering they're still pumping out laptops with 2050s, I doubt so. I legit just saw an asus laptop with an intel 13900H and a 2050.

Yes. It has a seperate gen4 SSD slot for SSD and a seperate 2.5inch sata bay for HDD

If i start a game like fortnite or rocket league my graphics are so blurry how can you fix this?
Choose the native resolution (1980x1080) and make sure the game using 100% resolution scale. You can adjust that in the game settings of fortnite for example.
Does Fortnite run at max settings?

The Acer might be the better laptop, the msi thin will most likely be a bit faster in games though. Also the rtx offers DLSS. The GTX doesn't. (But it can use FSR)
Though the Acer has the better CPU...

@@Hubwood ty man , great channel and great videos well im totally convinced by ur opinion that u already explained in many videos ( comparison videos ) but i ended up today buy buying the MSI with 45 w RTX 4050 for two reasons : first thermals , the gigabyte cpy temps always on 95 C while gaming while the msi in somehow keep it under 85 , the second reason was frame generation , i noticed from the leaks that my favorite future games like gta 6 , fallout 6 , Mafia 4 will be extremly gpu intensive and since both 3060 and 4050 not really future proof , i was hoping maybe with dlss 3 + frame generation i will be able to reach 50 fps in meduim 1080

RSS is an easy game to run. You could even use the high preset and still get over 100 fps easily.

I don't know. Probably yes. Might be some driver issues though. Not sure.
10:12 It's because of the low 96 bit memory bus in rtx 4050... So 1% low is taking a hit in fps... No matter the optimization or frame generation it will still stutter and stutter a lot in future/upcoming games...
Yeah well I already thought that 2 weeks ago when I started testing these laptops. But other youtube videos don't show these isses. So I'm really thinking it's an MSI problem to be honest...

Bought this model for around €850 including shipping, but it came with an i7-12650H.
Can't complain considering the price; still, I'm quite disappointed with the display.

Shouldn't expect that from the 4000 series. It's pretty well known now they skimped out on performance this generation to sell you the new features and technologies like DLSS 3 and frame generation instead.

it should cost same or bit more than the 1650 laptops else there are way better 30 series options for that kind of price. Also its build and display sucks and the worst of IPS display even if you compre with other displays of same caliber. It has one fan so you would see temps go up in few months after buying as dust would collect and increase the temps which would be less noticeable if it had 2 fans. And if you live in hotter environment consider getting an external as due to aluminium chassis it heats up like oven even if internal temps are in the safe range.

This laptop is such a weird product! That 1200 EURO price does not match with any role! It does not have good screen + good CPU for design+photo editing, it does not have good GPU + good screen for video editing, it does not have Small size and good battery life for portability, the ports are old, cheap and weird! Food for tought - you can get incredible number of RTX 3060 laptops for this price or cheaper. You can get a used Zepheyrus G15 with 3080 for 1200-1400 Euros, Zephyrus G14. Special mention - Lenovo Legion Slim 7 with Radeon 6800s - slim, powerful, quality screen, quiet, lightweight, awesome for photo, video editing, design and absolutely quiet in Silence mode.
This laptop costs 500-700 Euro, not 1200.
And is that touchpad broken? How? During transportation, accident or it was too weak>

Loads of negative reviews about this laptop. The quality is fine, I have the 16gb version and occasionally use it for games and it does perfectly well with the ones I play. Can I add nothing wrong at all with the keys as mentioned somewhere and the touch pad is well, a touch pad lol I also use Kali Linux and it runs like a dream, fast processing and reliable. Sorry that people have had negative experiences. Shame.😢
