  • Made for under $30 with new parts but can be made for a lot less money for stuff you might have just sitting around . Thanks to Larry for helping on this build from the UDS Group .

    I sure love watching your videos where I currently live there's 2 ft of snow it's 0° and it's not very inviting outside. I watch your video and it makes me remind me of summertime you got the crickets and the bugs chirping in the background you can hear that atmosphere it just looks and feels warm not zero and 2 ft of snow though insulated cabinet smokers work really good in the cold weather

    Dude if I could picture my build this would be exactly it. Only other thing I plan on doing is using a Weber lid. Did you ever find out how long a full load of charcoal would go in the bcf?

    I can't find a non galvanized metal bucket at Loews or Home Depot. Unless I just missed them. Any suggestions anyone?

    I think if you put one hole in the bottom of your fire bucket basket it would’ve worked even better. The air would have no choice but to go through the coals making it burn even more efficiently.

    Are you able to use the lower grill plate (12" down) for cooking/smoking with that setup? The bucket seems like it's kinda tall.

      your drum will need some kind of vent system and there is many ways to do it .

    Did you happen to say how big that bucket is you got from HD? I did hear to make sure it’s not galvanized, just not what size...

    Love Royal Oak charcoal. The company I work for pulls loads out of their plant in Salem, MO. Central Missouri is and thru the south and southwest part of the state is a huge producer of Charcoal. .

    What did you use to catch drippings? Did you place it directly on top of the bcf bucket. What did you use to sand/smooth ot after burning?

    10 hours and kept going. What is the actual cook time you get on it at 250 degrees?

    Yes Larry told me how to make it and i give him props . I just made a video to show how one is made since a lot of peple do not do the face book thing .

      why you getting so butt hurt John Kiedel ? there is probably a 100 videos of them being made , just because I use a maze in my other cookers I am suppose to find who made the first maze to give credit for that person ? he posted that design to 1,000 of people so get over it buddy .

      10 hours and had to go to bed so it will go longer but I will do another test at a later date .
