Had the opportunity to see the Revolution26 today at ReelRollers. It’s an extremely impressive mower supported by great people! Ordered my as soon as i got back home. Thanks Lee and Isaac!!🍺
Ron. Do you know of anyone who would need a 7-blade 25" GX 160 Mclane? I bought this in 2021 paid 2300 with bag catcher. Any reasonable offer is acceptable. Got to get this Revolution 26 before promotion is up. Thanks
Just got my feet wet this season with reel mowing. Before making the investment, I purchased a manual reel mower to test the waters and see if reel mowing was something for me before purchasing a powered reel mower. Definitely liked the cut compared to a rotary, hence I was doing research on which powered reel mower to buy. This one checks all the boxes for my yard, hoc, back lapping, storage in my garage, easy hoc adjustment and the rear drum. Just placed my order a free hours ago and I can’t wait to use it next season!!!
Just placed my order. Can’t wait to throw my current mower in the trash this winter and use a mower that addresses all of the faults I find in my current one.
I have a masport Olympic 500 and would say this mower is a 90% copy of the 660 but in cool guy black instead of the green. I do love that it’s a 26” mower and the roller on the masport is a joke. (Can you guys sell a 20” masport roller please 🙏). All that being said for any on the fence, I switched from a JD220 to the Masport and it’s so much more of a joy to mow with in a homeowner lawn.
Man i was really hoping this would go down to 0.125" for homeowner greens use so i could have one mower with quick height adjustments to go back and forth from yard to green super quick. I was so ready to order one. I love everything aboit this mower. Im gonna go cry a little now.
I’m sorry! We really tried to make it fit most folks needs but we are trying really hard to be transparent on where the mower will perform it’s best. It’s not a .125” cut type of design. Rather have you as a happy friend then an unhappy customer
@@reelrollers I respect yall for your honesty and it makes me want to purchase one even more. I have a lot of slope on my normal turf and was worried that a greens mower wouldn't handle it very well. Is there a mower you would recommend me look into. I know the rolux has the tracks on the drum and goes to 4mm, but not thrilled about some of the other components of the machine. I know greens use to be cut at 0.25" back in the day. How do you think the playability would be with the revolution at the 0.25". Thanks
A rubber tread is NOT good for golf green cutting heights, it will tear it up from what I’ve read. You want a steel drum at that low cutting height. So, greens mower is my suggestion
Protect the environment and do not buy lithium batteries. Use HONDA gas last 20 years. Batteries don’t last 1 1/2 years. Frustrating experience buying electric mowers and garden tools. 4 out 6 are in the trash - is not worth to buy batteries but get a new one.
26 feels a little big for the residential market. I have several areas that would never fit into unfortunately. 20-21 seems to be the standard, but good luck.
Great looking mower! Would be great if you can make a video showing how to backlap it, so we can see how (hopefully) easy it is do compared to, say, a TruCut
Can you comment on how it performs on a slope? Would love to purchase one during the pre-sale, but without seeing it perform on a steep gradient, I'm a bit reluctant. Are there any plans to have any of the "testers" review it before the pre-sale ends? Thanks!
I currently have a McLane 25" Honda 10 blade, and have been using McLane for 40 years.. I cut my lawn 1/4 to 3/8 in height. I'm currently looking at a used Greenskeeper 6 months old I am interested in your mower but I don't know that much about your product.. I live in Huntington Beach, Ca. What can you recommend..?
I would go with a used greenskeeper if your at those heights for 2 reasons. First, you want a steel rear drum if cutting that low. Second, maintaining a lawn at 1/4" - 3/8" means you need to have the abilty to cut it down to 1/8" and our mower doesn't cut 1/8"
Great step towards competitors but I think there’s a lot of design work to make it simple. They work pretty well in a flat surface but no homeowners do not level properly their lawn. Another point is how easy is to turn around obstacles.
Not many folks realize, but it’s not blade count but clip rate that matters. For example, all the greens mowers use a 5” diameter reel - same as our Revolution. A 6 blade 5” reel clip rate is more like a 8 blade reel everyone is used to from tru cut, trimmer, and McLane because they use a 6” diameter reel. Plus, our rpm of the reel is higher than the traditional homeowner reel. We’re confident and tested our 6 blade reel to be an optimal blade count for a 5/8 cut. Meaning, it’s sweet spot is 3/8” - 1” cut. Ideal for non golf course use. So many factors people don’t consider, but we did with our engineers to make sure we deliver the best option based on clip rate (frequency of cut) for the USA residential needs. Great question. Good example, a swardman 10 blade reel due to RPM and their 6” reel is the same (close) to the same FOC as our 6 blade. We did lots of math 😉
Great info to know. I have a 6 blade swardman and get that cordaroy ripple effect when cutting sub .75". So many reasons I will be pre-ordering this mower and reserving the swardman to cartridge duty only.
@@reelrollersExactly the question I had and the detailed answer I was hoping to hear. Very well done! Looking forward to seeing this thing in action! Love my 25”McLane 10-blade but, time to upgrade!
I'm sorry to hear about that, but this was something which was changed I would say 5-10 years ago. It is a different clutch and material which has been very strong.
Wondering can it ACTUALLY cut effectively at 1/4”? TruCuts are supposed to be able to cut around 1/4” but a lot of folks (including myself) can’t because the frame sides drag the ground too much when down that low.. even on flat concrete it drags.
It can cut 1/4” on concrete, but I wouldn’t recommend it on turf because it’s not perfectly level. I feel good about 3/8 because we did scalp to that height at turf park last week and are now maintaining it at 1/2” easily. For 1/4 cut, the mower needs to be able to cut to 1/8” and I just can’t recommend it unfortunately
@@reelrollers Got it, thank you! Looks like a really nice mower. The easy HOC adjustment and rear drum are huge selling points. If adjusting reel to bedknife contact is simple but highly precise/accurate this is a game changer mower for the typical homeowner.
I like it, but come up with a heavy duty residential ride on reel mower and you'll change the game. Most commercial ride ones are either beat up with a million hours or too expensive for low hour units. There's no happy medium. Also, I'm a commercial provider and have a masport rotary and can attest to their build quality.
We’re all about the experience and customer service…. For those that preorder, there are several surprises we have planned and a few features we didn’t talk about which will be on the mower as a surprise. Let’s just say upgrades you will appreciate.
We do not feel you need a 10 blade. We've done the math. The Revolution uses a 5" diameter reel with a higher RPM which has a clip rate equal to that of an 8 blade/ 9 blade reel. Tru Cut, Trimmer, McLane, Swardman all use a 6" reel. Our clip rate equals that of a Swardman 10 blade (they are the only ones posting their clip rate). We knew we had a GREAT cut, but until we spoke with the engineers at Masport, we didn't realize why our 1/2" cuts were so nice. Our 5" diameter reel is the same diameter as all of the greens mowers. Something we learned 2 weeks ago. Actually, a great surprise for us. Optimal HOC is 5/8" meaning the range for great cuts is 1" - 3/8".
We were going to and still can, but when we started to do clip rate math, it honestly opened my eyes to understanding the blade count is just 1 of 4 factors to optimal cutting height. I thought like most, 6 blade reels must mean a cutting height of 1”-2”, but when Masport engineers explained their rpm, ground speed, reel diameter, and 6 blade count I quickly realized our mower is already designed to cut low. Not golf green low, but very close. In fact, our 6 blade clip rate is slightly higher than a swardman 10 blade and very close to a trimmer 10 blade (more like a 9 blade). Putting a 10 blade (again, which they make), makes it a greens mower which is not our target market. Cutting greens height would be best with a non rubber rear drum, a different angled bedknife, etc.
I bought a 25" 7 blade GX 160 in 2021. My only problem with it is answered with this new design. I am now stuck with it, don't know what to do with it. I love Reel mowing. Which someone could make me an offer. I certainly would get this new design.
There are no grease fittings for the roller. Sealed bearings which can be replaced. Sulky is a good idea. Future plans on product development or launches are an internal discussion we prefer to not comment on in public.
I don't think anything is off the table. Our primary focus for the next 6 months is ensuring the Rev26. It's also tough to put out internal plans on public platforms. I'm sorry.
Unfortunately I have gone as "electric" as I possibly can due to my wife's sensitivity to anything petroleum. This is an awesome product! Maybe you would consider an electric version of this. I realize there may a power issue with not having enough using LiFePO4
Can you please help me understand the following: I have ordered the Rolux but thinking about the Revolution. 1. What parts are plastic versus steel? Rolux is virtually all steel (outside of the grass catcher which I prefer plastic). I think it makes the Rolux more durable. 2. How thick in millimeters or inches is the reel and bed knife? Roluxs are very thick so I am trying to determine difference between the 2. 3. The CEO mentioned guaranteed delivery date for January. Is that for all presale orders? 4. Why is there not a 10 blade option and how much will it cost upgrade for folks who preordered? This is a key differentiator me. Can you please help me understand if I will have a difference in cut quality compared to the Rolux 9 blade if I still with 6 blade? 5. Rolux has great customer support, is the expectation that the service (given this is a new line of business) will be similar or better?
Thank you for your questions. Let me try my best to help. 1. I only know of a plastic catcher and rpm lever on the revolution. Also I think the height of cut knob is a type of plastic. 2. I don’t have the mm of the reel and bedknife of the Rolux, do you know? 3. We will be delivering all preorders in January. Masport can make us over 500 of our mowers per month, so once the preorder is over we’ll confirm how many we need plus order s couple hundred more to have in stock. 4. Cut quality is not based on the number of blades, that’s false for 2 reasons. First, it depends on what height you are trying to achieve consistently. The best cut on a reel mower is when the frequency of cut = the cutting height. Another words, if you want to cut 1/2”, each blade should come around when the mower travels 1/2” forward. The Revolution is designed to have a perfect cut at 5/8” with the 6 blade reel because it is a 5” diameter reel just like s greens mower. We also have a higher reel RPM compared to most. I can’t speak for Rolux, but trimmer, tru cut, McLane, and swardman all use a 6” diameter reel which means our clip rate on the 6 blade equals that of a 8 or 9 blade tru cut reel. Because optimal cut for us is 5/8”, our mower is ideal for 3/8” -1.0” cutting height. A 10 blade is too much of a clip rate on the revolution unless you are cutting a putting green. If you are are keeping a putting green I would suggest a greens mower. 5. We’ve been the leader in residential reel mowing for over 10 years in the USA. I believe our track record is proven and speaks for our ability to provide amazing customer service. We are also based here in the USA. Appreciate the questions and I hope this helps
@@reelrollersthanks for the reply! I appreciate the time you have taken to answer my questions. Here are the thickness of the Rolux 9 blade - is .167in with a 5in diameter. Is your 5in diameter outside of the blade to the outside of the other blade or inside?
QR codes... anybody out there learn that in school, or did they teach english? Yes, I know this is a convenience for many, but I learned english. so electronic cuneiform is not my thing. But I digress. Beautiful machine with all the right features - if I wasn't broke, 'sold' would be the word.
Yeah... I scalped mine to .125 very nicely with 7 blade. 6 blade at .25 would still be good. no way you're cutting worth a darn with a 11 blade at 1.25" though. @@coachliu32
Amazing question that we are trying to figure out. We have a call into 2 of the dealers we work with in Cali. Our question is, if a CA customer buys a Revolution today, but we don’t deliver until January…. Are we breaking this new law? Or is it just “sales” after Jan 1?
@@reelrollers with that same question us idiots living in California if we do purchase one now and let’s say that stupid California law says you can’t ship it to us, can we make a road trip and come pick it up?
This felt like a sales pitch for the guy's opinion of the mower, instead of a sales pitch for the mower itself. I didn't see a whole lot of what the mower can do. Also the truck in the background is a try-hard move - like it's trying to show that the mower must be pretty good if the logo is applied to the side of the truck. I'd rather see the mower doing some mowing. I'm still going to upvote the video because this looks like a small business just getting started and I root for people that follow their dreams.

What's the weight and were the clutch issues addressed with this redesign?
Curious what were the determining factors in going with a 6 blade instead of a slightly higher blade count?
Not many folks realize, but it’s not blade count but clip rate that matters. For example, all the greens mowers use a 5” diameter reel - same as our Revolution. A 6 blade 5” reel clip rate is more like a 8 blade reel everyone is used to from tru cut, trimmer, and McLane because they use a 6” diameter reel. When is in the pipeline to make an electric version of it.
This is something we plan to do in the future, but we need to pull back on commenting publically on our business plans.
Why not offer an electric version?
Everything takes time. We have plans to in the future
Honestly o prefer the Rolux, I would keep that order if I was you
Thank you for your questions.
@@reelrollersI too am curious about the thickness of the blades.
@@reelrollers Any update on the below as well as videos of the mower being used?
Niiiiiiiiice!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🥰😍💥💥💥👍👍👍
So, available in January?
Pre orders over next 30 days will ship January!
Where can I buy one in Hawaii
cartridge style exchange on the unit?
Thank you for the question. This model will not have a removable cartridge. We do plan for this in the future.
Are there transport wheels for this mower?
No, but i'm unsure why you would need them? Or, if you do need a traditional transport wheel set up reel mower a greens mower may be best suited.
QR codes... anybody out there learn that in school, or did they teach english? Yes, I know this is a convenience for many, but I learned english. so electronic cuneiform is not my thing. But I digress.
Beautiful machine with all the right features - if I wasn't broke, 'sold' would be the word.
Can you put an 11 blade reel on it as an option?
Would be a mistake to put a 11 blade reel on this machine. Mowing at .25-1.25” this has the best blade for that.
@@Danny-ti7yy really at .25??
Yeah... I scalped mine to .125 very nicely with 7 blade. 6 blade at .25 would still be good. no way you're cutting worth a darn with a 11 blade at 1.25" though.

Lee will California people be able to buy one down the road? The new law goes into affect the 1st of January 2024 on gas powered equipment
Sounds like a good business plan. Put a warehouse at the border of CA to sell gas powered mahines
@@reelrollers 10-4 thanks Lee
Would absolutely die to have a Black Friday deal with a little knocked off the top for a pre-order!!🤣🤷🏽♂️😉
How much 👀
To answer your question. Somebody already has made a mower just like this. Allett. Just saying. But I am interested🤔
If it does not have other cartridges, myself and I'm sure others will not be interested.
Thank you for the feedback.
Trust me when I say I'm not knocking it. It looks great and I'm sure performs even better.
Do you take trade ins??? 😂
No sir, we do not take trade ins.
This comment is ridiculous. It does nothing but prove you don’t know anything reel mowers, Lee, or the company he has built.
So you're saying I won't cut it on Shark Tank?
All seriousness, thanks for the feedback. We'll continue to improve.
Way too expensive
