With due respect Chad when you make the sax sing you are so beautiful like in this case. The guru of jazz had that element whenever they were playing . Yes display of technique is essential but the music must be easily heard even by and ordinary listener

Beautiful! Too bad, so many grace notes (for almost every D and more). Fantastic, warm tone and nice arrangement for the string 'choir'. If this take was really recorded outside, this would actually be an invitation to other classic and jazz ensembles, rendering expensive studio rental costs unnecessary. Sounds super, well balanced and clean on my headphones!
