To some degree you are correct. But during rides the pillion should hold on to the grab handle. This is the way of flowing with the bike. If pillion is doing that then chances of falling over the rider's shoulder is less. The pros outweigh the cons as it increases pillion comfort otherwise. Cheers 🍻
