- A review of the Nespresso Expert. A Bluetooth enabled coffee machine. We take a close look to see if it can dethrone our old Nespresso machine as the king of home coffee machines.

I can't agree on what you said about the milk-thingy... I must have used mine around 5000 times (6 years, twice a day MINIMUM) so far and it still works great! When it starts to fail, just put cold water and ice-cubes in it and the bi-metal thingy repairs itself... Still going like on the first day!!!
I got one for Christmas and love it so much!! It’s only been a week but it gets used 5-6 times a day and I haven’t had any issues so far... 🤷🏻♀️
You don’t actually need to rinse it out before the cup of tea, because it has a separate pipe for just hot water. You can notice this if you’re making yourself an americano that it’ll pour an espresso from one hole and then continue filling up the cup from the other hole
You can actually use a french press to froth the milk. Just heat up the milk (just before it boils) and transfer the milk to french press and start pressing depending on how much foam you need for your coffee.
Hot water comes from a separate pipe
I had my since it cameout and had zero problems with it. I use the app to start the brewing just when I get out of the shower in the morning.
Nothing beats a bean to cup machine
We have replaced many before we realize that using steel tools to remove milk foam or to clean it was destroying the magnetic parts in it... since 4 years we use wooden tools and ice pop stick to clean it and it never failled... just dont use metal tools or even sponge scrubber...

* just a suggestion to your previous milk foaming machine. I had 8 yrs Nespresso milk foaming machine . if it does not provides foam: i put it into vinegar for 15 min once a week, then with a toothbrush removed the sticky milk -> and it works well again. Great milk foam.
* regarding coffee temperature . If it is lower. My seller person said the limescale could cause it. So nespresso has a powder which should add to water and it removes limescale and allow higher coffee temperature ( altough my coffee temperature 75°C . The seller said it should be higher 85-89°C). I do not know. I tought 75°C is great. One year old quite new machine, i was actually satusfied with it, because i pre- heated the cup with 100°C boild water. But i will try next week anti limescale process :)
As an espresso expert I can say that higher temperature doesn't mean better coffee. In fact it's rarely the case. Other than that it's a good review
Never had a problem with ours, also got it for £179.99 which certainly helps think that this is the best Nespresso machine out there, bar the expensive Sage one, agree though, the App Control is certainly a gimmick...
I have the new Expert (made by Breville). Everything is great but only a very small amount of froth. We have tried both 2% and 4% (whole milk). Both produce very little froth. We have the little round spring in place too.
We have the same milk frother as the old one and when it fails, we get it to to make the milk cold

Nice video, very informative. But did you just scoop the remaining froth from the machine with a metal spoon? If so, I would very much advise not to use any hard materials, because the coated layer on the inside of the frothmachine is very fragile/delicate. If not, forget what I said!

I might have been unlucky but mine lasted less than 18 months before it developed a leak. It was a great machine while it worked
yep, add to that the yellow light blinking forever must remove the plug wait for a few seconds and plug it back even after sending it to the shop same issue came back
Always use the nilkfoamer with the lid detached. It's only for dust
I bought two of these and both had recurring problems with choking like capsules. I've seen other users reporting the problem. Of the two machines I bought, I was forced to discard one and the other goes the same way. I tried to make a review on the nespresso website, but for an unknown reason, my 1 star rating does not appear ........
Take out the drip tray and maybe your cup will fit

The Creatista is the best by far
i do not think you're correct that the coffee in the pod goes "stale" if you set it up the night before. try a test and see if you can discern a difference in taste
I just got my first Nespresso and my biggest complaint is it’s not enough. My Kureg makes hotter coffee. What has your experience been with temperatures of the coffee? I have the Nespresso Vertuo.
Are these machines still available or has been discontinued?
Get a manual machine and hand pull your shots you will have far more control (not to mention many many more bean choices) and a real milk steamer just can't be replaced
Can you recommend refillable capsules for this machine?
Is there any solution to the water in the capsules tray issue?
Had Aeroccino4 for nearly 2 years going great.
Im wondering if since you are looking for a replacement for your citiz from 7yrs ago if youve tried the citiz&milk thats out now? would love a review of it as youre very thorough
Kaylee L I think one negative of the new citz is that the metal parts are now silver plastic. But looks similar otherwise.
I’ve got the machine in this review and not had any problems at all so far. The remote brew seems to be flaky sometimes.
What I really like is that there are two separate outlets and one of them is dedicated to hot water so never gets contaminated with coffee.
Truth review indeed. Thanks for this. Guess Nespresso still had faith in the Citiz as it's still available.

Frankly speaking, I bought a Nespresso machine and I am extremely disappointed. You might as well stick to instant coffee and save the money. Really good marketing, but terrible coffee.
Nespresso coffee or any other capsule coffee is the equivalent of processed food but with an amazing marketing story... The difference with buying and grinding your own beans and make your own coffee or espresso is like a domino pizza vs an authentic Italian pizza. Stop the hype, treat yourself and your wife with your own effort, showing your identity.
This Nespresso is chameleon of the machines. Hey NESTLE what the heck you r doing printing brands on this machine and fooling your customers? 100% same machine and design is sold with different brands : KRUPS, Delonghi, Breville & much more ,all you do is print a brand name on it. quality ? this crap does not work and causes more headaches. u spend hours fixing it for 2 or 3 cups before it goes off again. back to classic simple machine bit messy but i control the taste and brew not a dumb machine and some pod filled with god know how many chemicals to get the taste.

It's funny that you're very passionate when talking about your coffee. You do know that nespresso espresso's aren't actually espresso, compare it with any espresso from an actual espresso machine at a coffee shop and you'd see the difference.

The machine may be made with plastic, but the pods are entirely recyclable aluminum.
