Like their companions before them, Keyleth, Vax, and Tiberius make their way to The Slayer's Take. Arriving shortly after their friends' departure for the Vesper Timberlands, the trio are introduced to the rest of their own hunting party. Along with Brother Kashaw, a driven and mysterious young cleric, and a hardened dwarf by the name of Thorbir, the group receives its mission. There within the very walls of Vasselheim itself, they are to track down and kill an elusive Rakshasa that has been preying on wealthy travelers. With a little poking about in the city streets, they conclude that their only thread of information leads to the Velvet Cabaret, an exotic establishment in the Quadroads District.

Lmao! Dam thats very true. Prob why he had her on team one lok
Lol me and my typos
I honestly finally finished the other teams side literally cheering and laughing out loud the entire time, then see Orion knowing the upcoming spell shenanigans (not even referencing all the drama apparently surrounding him, just my experience watching since episode one) Keyleth who is one of my least favorite characters so far, probably wrongly placed judgement but her big squabble over not trusting Kima still bugs me, among other weird distrusts coming off to me as existing only because it doesn't already and *someone* has to be slightly against whatever's going on if Tiberious doesn't do it, and Vax who I love with all the others but already know is going to be less humorous with his separation from vex, and I'm *exhausted* just thinking about these next few episodes.
Not only that, but Matt is noticeably less relaxed at this second table.
Tip for DMs: if a player makes you uncomfortable, don't ignore it. Deal with it. Nip it in the bud

I enjoy the fact that Wil's character was set up to be like, a hyper competent badass annoyed that he has to babysit the "children" and then turns out to be something of a parody of that archetype due to Wil's terrible luck with the dice.

Between Tiberius and his outbursts, Vax without his sister and this two new additions, this is the crankiest group ever. Poor Keyleth.
I expected so much worse from comments like this. This episode was pleasantly entertaining. They all have great chemistry, even Tiberius felt better than usual. People that post comments like OP are just bored, and want drama.
@@TheCynicalJay Or you do
@@TheCynicalJay Imagine accusing somebody of wanting drama, while actively making a comment arguing with a clearly accurate statement. Thorbir, Kashaw, Vax, and Tiberius were all on the negative side this episode, with Keyleth being the single outwardly positive one. This is not some attempt at drama, it's just a fact. Your comment is the only one starting drama.

What a contrast, first we had the kind of happy go lucky team, now it seems we got team grumpy and the emo-kids.

Yeah, this group isn't nearly as good, but I don't want to miss it and then be wondering about references later in the series.
I agree that the other group is more fun but I have the softest spot for Liam.
This team would benefit more from swapping out Tiberius for Percy (who is the underrated diamond).
But then in saying that, we wouldn't have gotten the brilliant PJ's buttflap moment from the other group hahah
We get the grumpy, intellectual team that takes the most time in planning luring around every nook and cranny to find the solution and dispatch it quickly...... *MEANWHILE* *cut to Percy getting tail slammed and Grog getting blown up with a camp counselor talking about a guy she likes after one interaction*

I love that Matt told both groups that the other group had the flying carpet.
Schrodinder's Carpet.
Hilarious because Marisha was right.. and watched the stream where Matt told the other group that. You can see her in the chat replay commenting about the dragon and what would be thrown at them LOL
I could be wrong... but Matt never actually told this group that the other group had the carpet, he just didn’t correct their erroneous statement as it’s not his responsibility as DM
Matt said that they usually keep the flying carpet in Grog's bag of holding, but Travis made sure that they remembered that the other group didn't have it, so Tiberius ended up with it in his bag of holding.
at the very beginning of this video, Matt does state that Tiberius has the carpet.
I find it funny that the group of built fighters has to track down a hard to find target while the group more built for manipulating and tracking had to fight the most powerful classic monster in D&D. Well played Matt.

Scrotie Mcboogerballs That is a fair assessment of the way Orion played. However it's not far off from the way most sorcerer's with metamagic play. It's just that Orion kind of sort of factually lied about how how much metamagic he had all the time. Although to be fair I have been going over the games recently i e just felt like watching all the campaign 1 episodes and he seems to just reset his metamagic between episodes... And breaks... And sometimes turns... Sometimes spell slots... it's a shame I really did like his character though. It's like the guy who sneaks money out of the bank in Monopoly it's just no fun anymore.
@@rayruckus4446 how do you know this?
If you go back and you count how many sorcerer points he used in comparison to how many sorcerer points a sorcerer at his level should have had he used far more. This episode promises to be less amusing than the other two guest stars.
I assumed that was due to the low charisma scores.

David Folsom Sadly not many think nor see's him that way, and it's very sad that he's no longer a part of the Acquisition Inc, just because of some stupid miss hap or unwanted beef with some one, i think it was Scott Kurtz or something, idk much of it, but i would be very glad if they took him back, but it may never happen :'(
+MsRandomPro I think there was a series of constant personal directed jokes that caused it a few is meh but eventually it can get to be too much. Though i could be wrong. The internet is a toxic place with lots of rumors and lies. I personally don't like Will. I don't know exactly why but I just don't like him. Poor Keyleth. These are some seriously grumpy individuals. She's sunshine and they're storm clouds lol.
She's the only girl in a group of guys and she's socially awkward, this trial was so hard for her, go Keyleth!
This group is completely contrast to the other one, it's amazing.
What makes you say that?
In that they're completely opposite to one another. Mainly because of the nature of Will Weaton and Felicia Day's characters. It's not like I thought one party was better than the other but they were quite different.

This episode is the moment I finally fell in love with Keyleth as a character. It’s the most we’ve gotten to see of her awkwardness and childlike excitement.
The Wills did such a good job of emphasizing her energy and playing off of what Marisha was giving them that Keyleth finally got to shine.
So from this moment on I’m invested in every character. Or 7 of 8 anyway. Luckily for me there are only a few episodes left with the 8th.

I think both Matt and Orion expects for him to eventually grow out of it through character growth.
