I use a wet triangle makeup sponge for applying this foundation. I find it give me amazing coverage and goes on so smooth. I've tried other methods and nothing matches the beautiful finished result. I also use much less foundation with this method.
Love love love this video. You’re straight to the point, no bs, no blabber and no patronising. I’ve been reintroducing DW into my makeup after a 20-year gap, but my skin, skincare and makeup application methods have changed so much over the years that I found myself struggling. Thank you so much for the tips. It is hands down the best foundation over my 47 year old pores, my sunscreen and it does stay all day. ❤
That helps a lot, I just got Estée Lauder double wear foundation and thank you for showing me how to wear it! How did you do your concealer, bronzer, blush, etc?!? Thank you!
Loved this! Thank you for the tips! I am going to try layering it thinly and gradually :D I use it with the Estee Lauder Illuminator primer and it adds a subtle shimmer/glow. This make up always looks the absolute best part way through the day when your natural oils come through :D x
I have been trying to get this right forever. Does mixing it lower the staying power.? And I thought I finally got it right and later in the day it got patchy. Since it's oil free I am guessing using an oil for moisturizer is a big NO? Please advise
Loved this. Would love to see how you apply blush enough for color but natural effect. I have white hair and need blush in order not to look washed out. Thanks!
What primer would you recommend for a wedding day or other occasion when we want to avoid the flashback from spf? I have combination oily skin and I do not want to turn into a greaseball during the day.
Great video, thankyou, I literally bought this product yesterday and am keen to see what different people think of it. Watching how you applied it is very useful.
Hii beautiful i am from India n new to ur channel. I got dry skin n bought this foundation. It's bit light than mine skin i am planning to mix wid Mac 40 for yellowish golden but bright tone. Will u tell me ur view on best hydrating primer.i am thinking about smashbox.wats ur review ?? Tk care wid lot of 💕
Heyy!😊 Defo try the Smashbox Primerizer, it works really well on dry skin! Also Bobbi Brown vitamin enriched face base, makes a great makeup base for dry skin 🧡
Hi Kirsty, it’s nice to meet you. You have made a really useful tutorial. I appreciate your advice, it’s invaluable thank you 🙏🏻. I hope you have a blessed day inshaAllah. Thanks love xoxo 😘🌹
I just got colour matched with their foundation and concealer - 2N2 and 2N, thinking the N means neutral? I have a yellow undertone but used to be pink. My skin changed so much from when I was a teen. I used to burn but now I tan 🤷🏻♀️ it’s a beautiful foundation, and the concealer is crease-free! Loving your makeup, what products are you wearing on your lips please? 💕 xo
I will try this method. I 'm honestly dissapointed because I heard oily skin people rave about this foundation and then when I put it on my face I felt like it was exentuating my pores worse than if I had no foundation on. I appliedwitha non damp beauty spong so I am really excited to try your method.
Thank you!🥰 I use a damp beauty blender and bounce the Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder all over my face (or on areas needed, t-zone), leave it on for a few minutes then use a brush to lightly sweep the excess off. This technique works really well on my oily skin. Make sure to use a setting spray, I recommend the Urban Decay All Nighter, it locks makeup in all day and night! Hope this helps😘✨
It’s totally up to you! I love using a primer, it just creates a smooth flawless base for the foundation to go on top of, really helps with the texture on my skin, it helps to smooths it out. Try using a primer and without, see what works for you!🧡✨
Maggie,hi I'm 73 years old and mature dryish skin always used to use double wear but though I'd try their hydrating foundation, which is ok but I've wrinkles 😕need to cover them up , your comments on hydrating prima then double wear, and the beauty blender, looks so flawless, might just give it a go tomorrow, hopefully I'll get the coverage without settling into my wrinkles 😁 thankyou for your tips, xx
Thank you so much Kirsty this is so helpful please could you do a video of your full routine I struggle to apply the rest of my makeup on top of the double wear. Your makeup always looks so beautiful and absolutely flawless x
That’s great to hear, glad you found this video helpful!😊 I’ll be doing a video about my full makeup routine, that’s on my list of videos to do! Ahh thank you!💜✨
The Nars smooth and protect primer is more for oily/combo skin. Try using the Bobbi Brown vitamin enriched face base or Smashbox Primerizer, both are great for dry skin 🧡
hii im 220 in maybelline fit me so i checked on you tube for shade reference then they suggested to go for 3w tawny but i feel that is bit more yellow on me...however I don't know which is one shade lighter in este lauder...what i should do?? i mean how to overcome that more yellow tone in my shade?
You should use a concealer for under-eye, but if you want to use foundation, go for a product designed for the delicate eye area. Apply it lightly and blend carefully to avoid emphasizing any fine lines. Hope this helps!
@KirstyLo I have literally the same shades, rattan and tawny for depending on whether it is summer or winter too! Right now I'm on tawny because of this summer
thank u sm!! i’ve been eyeing on this foundation for the longest time but i was scared i was going to look like a cake cake face but i’m planning to buy this soon alongside some of the products you recommended from this vid 🤍🤍
Hey dolls! Hope you found this video helpful!💜 Let me know how you got on with the Estée Lauder Double Wear or any foundation tips!✨

Very nice video. But I think your own shade is/should be lighter than what you are using. I think. But I could be wrong :)

I am also guilty of using the dot method
Hey i tried combining ELDW with CT flawless filter however it breaks - how can I manage this? Would love the glow but it's so tricky
Hi if I use the neutogena cream, nars primer can I then still mix the advanced night serum into eldw foundation to mske it dewy
great video! what technique do you use to apply the setting powder? I’m trying to get a base like yours for my wedding 😊

Hey beautiful
Please between Charlotte Tilbury and Estee Lauder which one is your favorite for sweatproof days
Ahh they’re both my faves! I’ve done comparison review and wear test, here’s the video: ruclips.net/video/LmPGfxgYiP0/видео.html 🧡
Estee lauder i prefer but they both are sweat proof they are both my favorite too
how the heck this looks more opaque on other people? this looks kinda sheer on me.
It's primer really necessary?
It’s totally up to you! I love using a primer, it just creates a smooth flawless base for the foundation to go on top of, really helps with the texture on my skin, it helps to smooths it out. Try using a primer and without, see what works for you!🧡✨

I couldn’t find the NARS Primer. Is it ok to use the Neutrogena prep+correct primer?
I love this foundation. I apply it exactly the same way. I just want to say, your colour isn't the right match. You need to go lighter
Very helpful thank you
You’re very welcome!🥰

Is the Nars primer good for dry skin ?
The Nars smooth and protect primer is more for oily/combo skin. Try using the Bobbi Brown vitamin enriched face base or Smashbox Primerizer, both are great for dry skin 🧡

Should I put the foundation under my eye?
You should use a concealer for under-eye, but if you want to use foundation, go for a product designed for the delicate eye area. Apply it lightly and blend carefully to avoid emphasizing any fine lines. Hope this helps!
