What is going on everyone? In this episode of dersch i go to one of the only ponds that have thawed out this spring to catch some fish. I bought a new kayak, its called the ascend 10t from bass pro. I couldnt get the fish to bite on anything i was throwing until i tied on the inline spinner and then i started to catch some largemouth bass and chain pickerel.

Thank you for showing the bait selection. I had my money on the jig myself.
I’m getting older and haven’t done any “real” fishing for almost 25 - 30 years. I’m finally settled down enough to gear up and try to start getting at it again and I feel like I’m learning from scratch.

You are a dedicated fisherman, love the determination and the safety pins on the pants! Great video! You might want to invest in some wheels for the kayak.

Excellent video ..I own the same kayak and know what it's like to grind for them.
Good call on the inline spinner ...saved the day ...jerkbaiting is tough on the yak also gauging how much line from rod to the fish on the landing can be difficult sometimes..I have broke a few rods using the rod holder behind me on the side I regularly cast from...also bought a paddle holder but find I just lay it across my lap in paddle position when I'm fighting and landing a fish...good show and standing to stretch is solid help out there...back can burn after a long day...also removed foot pegs ..thanks again for the vid

I have caught thousands of bass, largemouth and smallmouth, on my Mepps. I had my two best days, number-wise, on my brass-bladed number 3 Mepps: 223 bass one day and 217 the next. Many times, I caught 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and even 7 bass in a row.

You got to get a life vest and wear It when on the water kayaking. Believe it is a state law requirement.

State law requires to have a easily accessible pfd. But doesn't have to be worn for adults at all times.

I'd rather drown. Pfd s suck.and I dog paddle fine.law should require you not be an old fool.and let the macho stand up and fish 😁

    Nice video! I’m a new t10 owner.
Any problems with it being unstable? Im a bigger guy 230lbs and it’s fairly stable while paddling around, tipsy.
Any tips?? Seat placement, scupper plugs in/out or half in. Trying to avoid out riggers. Thanks

Figure it out? I’m 225 and 6’1”….worried it’s not stable enough for bigger dudes. Any issues?

Nice fish but you should wear a life jacket when the water is cold.

Great video but you should get wheels for the kayak instead of dragging it

Here's the deal with lead jigs. Typical lead jigheads, drop shot weights, flipping jigs, etc. are illegal. If the bait has a blade on it, chatterbaits, underspins, spinnerbaits, and buzzbaits, it is legal. Please correct me if i'm wrong but I believe that megabass swim jig, as long as it has a blade on it is legal.

In New Hampshire anything under one ounce is illegal to use including jigs and blades.
