Can you explain use case of variable density filter for a noob
Main use is for long exposure shots, typically during the day (because of the sun).... they allow controlling amount of light that enters the camera.

That shutter sound is not from the a6700 but from a film based motor driven SLR from last century. Please, get your sound effects right. I have two Nikon SLRs and that is the sound they make when you activate the shutter with motor on.
