Jizz Jazz studio is like the fictional name he gives but really all his albums are recorded at where ever he's living. Also the last song "Together" is often extended up to 15+ minutes live these days.

It's cool going in completely blind. I'm sure people think it's weird that I don't know who some of these bands are... but that's the joy of it. There are positives and negatives when it comes to my "no research" mantra... but a massive upside is the genuine element of surprise. Music should surprise.

I used to listen to this album every night before bed on my cd player and headphones when i was in 7th grade. It was so beautiful to me and it never got old.

So I finally got around to watching. Before doing so, for some reason, I thought this was a reaction to Salad Days.
Anyways, of course you loved it. Wish I could openly appreciate and enjoy unknown music like you do.
Funny enough, I had yet to listen to this album before. I'd heard the rest of Mac's discography for a while now, but saved 2 for the right moment. I gave 2 a spin just before watching your reaction. This man can do no wrong and I'm sure you'll enjoy his other stuff just as much.
I stand by you reacting to Rock and Roll Night Club next. I'd give you my thoughts/statements on it but I'm sure you'd rather go completely blind. Then Salad Days -> Another One and like I said before end it with This Old Dog. So basically chronological order!
You could also listen to the demos in between each reaction. Aside from Rock & Roll Night Club, he's released demos for all his albums. They're a nice insight into how Mac goes about making each album.

Here are my thoughts, written while I listen
Pleasant foot-tapping songs that are easy to listen to, combined with vocals that become increasingly dull. This is growing on me as I listen along. Pretty pop songs made of bits of this and that offered up in a slightly disinterested but enchanting way. This brings to mind a vision of a shattered mirror that reflects everything tantalisingly rather than a faultless mirror that reflects one thing perfectly. I did not expect to like this but I did, I might even buy it….
Oh and with regards to the knife, feel free to throw caution to the wind, better still use two knives. Life is so much more acute with a little danger thrown in. : )
It's a really lovely album. Kinda safe... but lovely. Cuddly.

Canadian (Vancouver suburb) here. Saw it just fine. And now my comments which I noted down as I was watchlistening.
Again a fabulous thing to watch this discover - insight and laughs. "Be thankful I don't have a lyrics sheet in front of me." I had JUST pulled up the album lyrics in another window mere seconds before.. Excellent compareferences - more Paul than John, voicing like Dylan, Rolling Stones intertwining, Zep.

You rock for doing this!! Cheers man! I hope u continue to listen to more albums by him. He's a musician that's very young but I'm blown away by his maturness in his sound. I would suggest "This Old Dog" it has some of his finest work. Folk rock even more Bob Dylan esque more so than 2. "Salad Days " is another good one. Tbh he's musician that's improving with each album IMO. Thanks again!
