    How did you feel about the game moving to a bigger arena? Caitlin Clark Effect? Yes or No? Let us know in the comments below.

    • @survivrs
      @survivrs Месяц назад +3

      Absolutely!! I can't believe they didn't make the change sooner than this. Where were these people during the NCAA tournaments in 2023 or 2024? Every game that Caitlin/Iowa played sold out, SRO. Prior to this game, cities have moved the game to larger venues due to the demand for tickets. Indiana is starting to play as a team, and I think they are going to win more games and have a better record when the season is over. Better than just about every year they've been in existance.

    If ANY player fouls/hits/assaults Clark (any player) in any fashion that was completely intentional and meant to hurt her vs an actual basketball play, then, automatic ejection and a suspension of 3-10 games depending on severity, period.

    It's been the "Caitlin Clark Effect" since her 2nd year at Iowa. It would have probably started her 1st year, but due to COVID, the only people who saw the games were the cardboard cutouts in the stands. She can do everything but dunk, and I don't give a damn about dunks. They're still only worth 2 points, and if not done right, the ball doesn't go through the cylinder. It also makes serious injury a concern although I don't know of any, mostly because I've never liked NBA. Caitlin handles all the crap with grace. She is a home grown Iowa girl, she was raised right, and played all sports from a young age, finally narrowing it down to soccer and basketball. By 6th grade, she narrowed it to basketball and it was obvious to her dad when she was 5 that she had something special. He was her first coach. We are so proud of her, the way she plays the game, the respect she shows people, the way she tries to give autographs to as many kids as possible while working with her teammates to continue to improve their game. Go Fever!!! Sending love from Iowa.

      @TheMonker2 Месяц назад

      That is all true...also, there is a Dowling game on RUclips that starts with a group of kids taunting her by chanting "over rated"...She goes on to drop 30something points to win the game. At the end, those kids were not saying much. So, she has been dealing with the doubters for a LOT longer than people realize.

    The Fever is suddenly looking like a well oiled machine. Comparing those first losses to what fans saw tonight against Atlanta you’d swear some kind of magic has occurred. Caitlin shares the glory by her lightening passes to someone in position to scare. That makes all players shine. It’s no wonder that people are clamoring for tickets.

    Caitlins style of play opens the players so it's easy to see the action. Even a missed 3 forces a rebound NOT in the paint. This makes for viewable TV. So much better than huddling in the paint, then shuffle down to huddle in the paint at the other end.

      This is the only thing I do NOT like. Years ago, when Dr. Tom Davis was coaching the men's team, I remember BJ Armstrong being critiqued for sometimes shooting a 3 before any Hawkeye was ready to rebound. I've seen the Fever do this OFTEN, not just CC, all of them. Unless you have a VERY open shot, or the defense is not setup either, wait for your team to get under the basket for a change for a rebound.

    As a new Caitlin Clark fan my response to uncalled fouls: in the NCAA it would be a foul but in the WNBA it is not a foul. The pros are more 'competitive' meaning rough. BUT I see some flagrant fouls on CC which go unseen by certain refs...why is that I just don't know being a new, WNBA fan.

    • @judgejurylw1026
      @judgejurylw1026 Месяц назад +1

      You just answered your own question, you don't understand like all the rest of the new fans, the WNBA been like this from the beginning with the fouls, its a more physical game than the college level, and no, CC is not getting any favortism either way, the WNBA players have been going over seas playing between their season, and its a lot more physical over there, thus the more physical play here, CC just have to adapt, one of the reasons she was not ready for the Olympics, there is no complaining in the Olympics.

    Caitlin Clark is the WNBA. You have a lot of great players in the league, but no one brought millions of fans to the NCAA & WNBA. I follow the UConn Huskies since Rebecca Lobo. Breanna Stewart won 4 championships and won numerous awards and never had a following like this. CC is a generational talent and the WNBA should make sure that they take advantage of this. Hopefully next year when Paige Bueckers come into the league this will continue. I like CC the way she carries herself, humble and doesn’t let all the bullsh*t bother her, she hoops. I wish the league well.
