I started grappling at 16 so i built a young guy game a lot of jumping around, rubber guards and shit but Bernardo and Yuri really changed my approach, i'm so much better at taking time and letting my opponent exhaust himself. The craziest part is i can kinda slow things down so much that my exploding moves are 10 times stronger, i'd grind the dude and then pop out of nowhere. AAAND when i'm on my back i still have rubber legs. Weird combination but so much fun.
Bernardo these are the best technique videos in youtube! I get so much from these when, all these top guys show their moves and small details that makes all the difference! Keep these coming OSS
Thank you Bernardo for showing these great techniques from so many amazing Athletes. I wish you the best my friend oossss
Amazing video as always Bernardo! Hopefully, one day I will be able to visit your new school. Thanks to Yuri too!
Great Channel!! I love it! Very helpful! Thanks Professor, Oss🙏
Nice pathway to Dope Mount!!👍
Very, very nice!!!!
Great video!
Totally putting this into my game. Thx. Oss
This video was so well timed. I noticed today while rolling that I was having a lot of trouble with the knee shield because i use a lot of pressure passing techniques. Going to try this tomorrow in class. Thanks Professor! Oss
Knee shield gives everyone trouble and is fundamental for defense
You the man!
Great video as always Bernardo. Question: why bother taking the back foot off the knee pit when going to mount? Why not just go to mount right from there? Yuri actually does this in the last moments of the video, but it's not addressed.
Anyone know if there is a name for this pass???
Thought that was Eddie Bravo in the thumbnail
I tried this when rolling but partner's crossed ankles stopped me from kicking back. Any tips from anyone?
If they straighten their legs out, cross their ankles, squeeze, etc. they are probably giving up the knee shield that was the problem to begin with. At this point, you can switch from outside hand position on the leg weave and move to the inside on their hip and stop them from recovering the knee shield and cross knee, folding pass, X pass, etc.
We tried this at class today, but I found it leaves my arm to exposed to a kimura. In the video Yuri's Left arm is exposed to a kimura grip.. I am doing something wrong?
Joao, I have a hard time fixing it by writing, I would need to train with you some day...
joaopnz i thought the underhook grip behind the opponents right shoulder prevented his opponent from shifting into a kimura since he pushes his weight onto full mount.
It was hard for me to kick back. Any tips?
Don't kick straight back. Turn your knee a bit into his leg (like you would do for windshield wiper pass) and push it a bit, then kick back at an angle away from his leg. Give that a try.

If you sweep him, would you get DQed for reaping?
This is one of those rare position where it shouldn't count as reaping because the person put this knee there, but hey if the ref says it's a reap, it's a reap.
It's not a reap, just a regular knee bar. If it was, then every knee bar would be reaping.
Can this work for gi ?
sure can
Are u making a yuri dvd?
