I love how the Ironman appears.
I'm guessing the algorithm didn't like the comments since they all looks so similar, probably thought it was spam
It definitely did not like the comments. The good thing was, the RUclips API passes all comments, even spam, to the script. So there weren't any issues getting them, and they didn't need to be approved. But it literally set all of the pixel comments as spam, and I would manually approve them(I didn't need to).

I'm glad it all went fine ! I had a look at the comment section back then and for some reason there seemed to be a lot a people with a "windmill" obsession ...

Did it work to put text in first and then append the $$ code? Also, to capture the early bitmaps it looks like a 16x16 grid was needed. So good job to those of you who were dedicated enough to create large format bit maps
The code was overly simple, so you had to put $$ as the first two characters. I removed that so that it would make more random stuff if people weren't going to use the pixel drawing web app.

Anomalies gain attention, especially with a spam nanny like RUclips's AI. There is wealth in stealth, say a design that ramps up slower which might ultimately garner more hits.

@@SeanHodgins i wonder if it'd help if instead of the comments being a bunch of numbers, they were a bunch of words. could just update your tile generator to output words. maybe that would look even more like spam comments though, lol

For some reason some of the segments of my bongocat did not get rendered. I tried resubmitting them several times over several days but they never seemed to be rendered. I'm pretty sure it was not a bug in my code. I wonder how many comments you actually see from me on that video? Did they get filtered out somehow?
Its nearly impossible to track the comments now! Ill have a look. Thats pretty strange that the same areas didn't render. Could also be an issue with my code as well.
oh, i think I also had some comments just fail and then fail again after being repeated verbatim. but it wasn't that important
Same with my Arch logo. I tried patching the missing segments and that random black square, but it didn't work

Oh, they didn't fail. The True/False test is to check if they had been posted within the last 5 minutes. After that they fail until new comments come in.
@@SeanHodgins thanks, how about testing the youtube algorithm with only the thumbs up ? Can you automatically scroll the names of the users how gave you a thumbs up in the video.
@@vainbraindoer I'm not sure if I'm able to get the data of who pressed the thumbs up. I think I just get a number. Ill have a look.

I really like the project and think this idea is great, but at the same time it's sad that there is always a Swastika in a project like this
The simplest symbol/design to be offensive I guess. It is unfortunate that these sad people exist and try to be noticed by shock value.
I remember seeing them at the time but I couldn't notice any in the timelapse. Either i'm not looking at the right place or someone else drew over them fast enough.
If we stop the propaganda about swastika being bad and educate about ALL of it's meanings, there will be no problem. It has A LOT of positive ones in asian culture. The problem is society wants something to hate and until it stops it will be spammed by some people just to trigger others.
