I would agree that this route is quite good despite the scenery. I tend to prefer driving on the Faversham to Dartford section rather than on HS1 but both are good.
I think it’s pretty funny that a Kiwi suggests the Newfoundland railway for the Canadian route. A narrow gauge railway on an island topographically incapable of hosting large scale train service. Seems slightly familiar. Also, I’d love it. Especially if they included the Trinity loop. I will also be more than happy with the spiral tunnel. Although I fear the TSW trains aren’t long enough to get the full experience.
Great video sir. Not sure you are aware but you can see class 700s from St Pancras station. If you walk to the tunnel then move to the left, you will see class 700s passing under the bridges. I posted a video of this.
Great video once again mentioning the positives and negatives equally making for an enjoyable watch. Do want to say that I feel like how confined the Electrostar cabs are is accurate since I have been in a GN 387 cab and can say it’s very claustrophobic and difficult to move. In contrast the 700 is very well modelled I have seen my fair share of them during a work experience program so they do feel very well done to me. Can’t wait to see your ECML review I’m sure it will be just as entertaining :)
I think that sehs is a decent route. I wished that the 375 and 465 services were longer because the 465 services only go to/from Dartford and Gravesend and the 375 services go from Faversham to Rochester with shorter services to/from Gillingham and Rochester. That is why I barely play with those trains as the services are way too short. It's also a shame that DTG didn't bother adding the 7 Mile sheneress branch. As for st pancreas, you can go and explore the other platforms. If you go down the escalator/stairs at the southeastern end of the platform, there is a path which will take you to the Eurostar platforms and you can explore the full platform which is nice despite the fact that they aren't detailed whatsoever
There's a few 375 and 465 services that go from Dartford all the way to Faversham (and vice versa), but most of them are just the really short 29 to 33 minute ones.
route building is long and complex. Dtg can't just create everything and there comes a limit where they have to stop. There were also a bunch of other things that had to be done
@davidpark5486 Oh, please. They could've made the section to London, but choose not to. They have 6 years of experience so they could've made the section to london
I completely agree with your assessment of this route, it’s one of my favourites in the game but it still feels like it’s missing things that you mentioned. I did manage to find a way to explore the International platforms at St Pancreas station, if you have the LGV Méditerranée route, the TGV Duplex has some rail tour services that you can get out of at St P and have a look around. Unfortunately it’s really basic and there is almost no detail there plus some random invisible walls!
when and if you review the new voralburg route i’ve found quite a few spots that show the route was rushed. some things i noticed were floating bushes, floating ohle, (idk if it was that the route hadn’t loaded fully) but i saw a large part of the sea missing and there’s a random set of seats way under lindau and honestly the mountains don’t look that great and overall the route is still very linear
18:28 Yes that's really sad but apparently Eurostar don't want their brand to be licensed anywhere else. It'll maybe change with the acquisition of Thalys
The DTG did say that “it’s too hard for them to do” or they did say something to like “making London to York/Doncaster it’s like doing the Brighton mainline 2 times.” It’s just their excuse of laziness or would it be actually too hard for them to do?
i got a 80% discount which knocks the price down to 5.99£ instead of the original 25.99£ ( i think) for the original game, and i bought the thames link add on for 12.99£ which is a meh there's multiple features missing aswell as many routes cuz they also go on ac under the overhead wires on the MML and all they did with the 'Luton to rainham' section is just making the train go Rainham and dartford and vice versa, its basically copied and pasted for the timetable and desiro city shattered scenario is exactly like u said. Quite weird since the fact a class 700 desiro city has NEVER been coupled with another desiro city class 700and what's with the missing liverys aswell??? I get it dtg couldn't get the 12 car variant but you could've made a livery like the NHS LIVERY and the pride gay livery, aswell as it might seem odd but it's better than 1 livery man... ( btw idk if a 8 car desiro city class 700 that had an NHS livery or PRIDE gay livery) but overall its a meh and what was dtg thinking with the sounds on the 375 SE in tsw2 ;-;.
By the way, they claim that they can’t add trains due to memory, but actually, it’s because it’s designed to go with the TOD3/4 lighting and they cannot be bothered to upgrade London Commuter to the TOD3/4 lighting. It’s a fu*king joke!
That said The Class 465/2's are currently in store their future is uncertain. But the rest of The Networkers are on borrowed time as when all The Class 707's are transferred to South Eastern after South Western Railway eventually roll out the Class 701's into service The Networkers will gradually be withdrawn from service after nearly 30 years which isn't quite as long as the nearly 40 years The Class 415 4EPB's and Class 416 2EPB's ran for. Which is a shame as i liked the motor sounds on The 465/2's, 465/9's and 466's
They gave The Class 700's the nickname Stormtroopers as their fronts resemble an Imperial Stormtrooper from Star Wars. According to Jarred Webb aka RUclips Channel Tornado922
My class 700 to this day still has do display the power doesn’t show up and neither does the passenger. I sent a ticket but I feel like I wasted my money because I can’t even enjoy the train because it’s so broken. Not to mention the brakes is different. Idk if I got a bugged version but I can’t comprehend how it happened
Non-linear means a route with one or more branch lines, instead of a basic 'Point A to Point B' route where you can't branch off the main line to go somewhere else.
They'd have to include the 465/0 and 465/1 for that. Only the BREL / ABB 465s have Hitachi motors; these Metro-Cammell units still have their old motors.
That one was already part of the route as far as I remember. There was a scenario or service with the br442 in the night on that one if I’m correct. I could just be wrong though.
I still haven't bought TSW3 because I have alot DLC on TSC and Dovetail didn't give us a free upgrade to TSW 3 if you bought TSW 2 and especially the rumour about TSW4
That's an old freeware model from UKTrainSim, but you can still get it via the Internet Archive (file ID is 27013): archive.org/download/ukts-archive-files-27001-28000

Fantastic review, properly detailed and well written. Please make the static transitions a little quieter though, they're a tad too loud.

Honestly my favourite route in the sim. Lots of variety and different services to run.

What Ruins It Is That You Can Not Go To Charing Cross Or Ramsgate
Broi never knew

Ohh and let me add you can also explore the Eurostar platforms via the underpass as far as I’m aware. 18:35

Game development is long and complex. They can't just create a 100+ mile route. They can't just work forever on one project

6:25 if it is in passenger service then that's wrong, but there was an ecs 24 car class 700 back in 2016 when they were rolling out
Been waiting for this review for a while 😊. Thanks 🙏

what do you mean by routes being Linear / Non Linear?
Non-linear means a route with one or more branch lines, instead of a basic 'Point A to Point B' route where you can't branch off the main line to go somewhere else.

Got to ask that ya think of TSW4 😅😅😅 love ya work
I wish the class 465 had hitachi sounds
They'd have to include the 465/0 and 465/1 for that. Only the BREL / ABB 465s have Hitachi motors; these Metro-Cammell units still have their old motors.
The Class 465/0 and 465/1 variants have the exact same sounds in real life to The Class 395's albeit after they received a mid-life refurbishment.
They also need to add the class 376

and 357
Does it fit the the time of the route?
@@elitemoderntvman It does with these trains still in service today (god knows why) with them operating mostly the same timetable as the 465s.

This sounds like the class 350
700 series seats are uncomfortable, even the first class seats. Networkers have much better seats, old but comfy
This comment section is unhinged. They’re just trains. Chill people😅
When you are basically paying a days work for a train/route that does not live up to standard, we have a right to be pissed off and unhinged
