  • Well, this was certainly a long time coming; my two cents on the London to Brighton route in Train Sim World 4.
This route was released in October 2021 as part of the TSW2 'Rush Hour' series. It's a remake of an old TS classic route, and includes the Southern Class 377/4 and Gatwick Express Class 387/2 Electrostar EMUs. The best feature of this route is easily the insanely busy timetable, with more than 1,000 playable services.

For me, I actually quite like this route, as the timetable is the best thing about it. I do however have the Class 700 BML mod installed which comes with the 12 car 700, and I installed the scenery pack too, which I would highly recommend for the full Brighton Main Line experience, as full as we can get in TSW4. When I do my upcoming TSW ranking video, I will rate it highly, mainly for the timetable but I will also highly recommend the aforementioned mods.

    Red -- Signal at danger.
Single Yellow -- Signal at caution.
Double Yellow -- Signal at preliminary caution.
Feathering (flashing) signals is denoting the route is merging on to the main running line; exempting the East Coast Mainline.

I actually really enjoyed this route when it came out, and the busy timetable really makes it come to life. I wish we had more routes with busy timetables and traffic everywhere. Definitely one of Train Sim World’s best IMO. If only this route had a multiplayer feature with dispatcher mode, I don’t think I’d ever get tired of that.

Regarding your video about whether to continue making TSW content. You absolutely should and do it how you like with honest opinions. We have plenty of those who will tell us what DTG want us to know, it's good to hear from people who have genuine and fair criticism.
Just a tip. Ignore the trolls. They want a rise from you. You'll never please everyone, just keep what you're doing.

16:26 In the UK, old buildings can be grade 1, grade 2 or grade 3 listed which prevents them from being demolished and basically means they are preserved but they have to be of historical significance.

Charing Cross - Hastings does indeed as standard run via Orphington. However, when there is engineering works on the SEML north of Tonbridge, SouthEastern will run Hastings services via Redhill through to the BML as far as East Croydon, and then the ELL before reconnecting with the SEML at Bricklayer's arms Junction outside London Bridge. Diverts are primarily manned by crews at Tonbridge who also operate the SN Tonbridge - Redhill service.

  • @Gideonsmythe
    @Gideonsmythe 4 месяца назад +1

The trailers cars of the 460s were earmarked to be added to Class 458 units to make them 5 car units. Hence the early retirement. Plus the 442s were very popular with passengers and crews so made more sense for the BML services to Brighton as they were surplus to requirements after the introduction of the 444s on the SWML.
I can recommend the Mod in TSW that gives you a timetable layer with 700s. It's excellent. Totally agree about about a 2005-2015 version or even a slamdoor one with 4-VEPs 319s and 455s

Norbury is abysmal (my ex local) and the underpass at Clapham Junction is in the wrong place.
    Great review and good info
i wish they could just merge London To Brighton and East Coastway togeather.
i also wish that pc versions of the game not be limited by the consol versions, the consol version should be called train sim world lite and understand they don't get everything the pc version dose.

I can assure you London Victoria is not named after Queen Victoria. It is named after the nearby Victoria Street. P.s. the 395 on The Brighton Main Line isnt unprototypical, there was a series of Railtours where 395s where taken off their usual routes in the name of The Royal British Legion charity. Clayton Tunnel draws its name from the nearby area of Clayton.

Due to this review, and it not being as shocking and awful as some other add-ons in the game *cough cough, West Cornwall Local, GWE, cough cough* and the incredibly busy route schedule, I am very tempted to buy this route. Also, I believe that you should make a video on how GWE could either be rebuilt or updated, like WSR.
