  • I cleaned up the audio. Clara Bow (the IT girl) made her name in Silent pictures, but she translated well to talkies. She was a tremendous actress and a good singer. She was good enough, but Hollywood was too much. She retired in 1933.
This clip is available elsewhere, but I couldn't find where anyone bothered to clean up the track.

Her early retirement from Hollywood, a great loss to the movies.

Its entirely their fault. They didn't think her thick Brooklyn accent would translate well to talkies. Cyndi Lauper made the accent hot in the 1980's but Clara had it in the 1920's.

Yes her early retirement was a waste.

Clara is good. Definitely sexier than meets the eye. Would even be better to see this movie first get remastered and then released on Blu-Ray some time.

Crazy cute. Legend has... but no, not going there. Bow was a woman like any other woman. She experienced life, therefore men, like any other PERSON.

This was filmed, like the rest of Bow films, 100 yrs ago. No color film for 10-15 yrs. The web has color pics

There is a short bit of the color film "Red Hair" here on The Tube. She was a ginger girl all right.
