I think you should bring angel food cake on full time! It would be fun to watch his slow decent into madness from listening to your silly banter😆😆
Best comment of the day! Hahahaa
Bad idea why fuck up the friendship with Fred just for better content. Do you think Sarah has enough work for him to be there full time. I think it works out perfectly for him to be there on and off.
@@larryhall6416 SWOOOSSHHHH! ( the sound of humor zipping over your head)
@@GrayRaceCat I guess that I'm don't understand your comedy. Dah
Would be the best person at Carefulling in no time
old couple here....totally enjoy your channel. Your odyssey with Ragnar has captivated us. Your car reviews are fresh and fun to watch.
Sarah, glad to see you in good spirits and recovered after the glue incident 🤗
Can you believe that over half a million people subscribe to your channel! Thats awesome, congrats!
You appear to be glue free!
@YT both
i was expecting to see a pillow stuck to her head
Ragnar is looking better and better every video. Well done.
You and angel work well together, with great attention to detail, love it.
With great attention to detail comes great carefulling.
R. O. T. F. L. M. A. O.
That beetle looks amazing. Some lucky person is going to get a better than new car. Great job Sarah. ✌️
Sarah PLEASE NEVER CHANGE. Who you are and all the silliness is why we all love watching your channel. The car stuff is a bonus and who doesn't enjoy watching a beautiful woman who loves cars. Keep doing what you're doing. Aussie fan.
Hey Sarah, has it been 72 hours already wow, the beetle looks great I saw what’s coming up that should be awesome. Looks like you survived the gluing🙂 I can’t believe that happened. Have a great one.🐧🐧🐧👍
Great job on Ragnar Sarah 👍👍
Glad all went well today with no unpleasant accidents.
All BS aside. You make great videos. And your attention to detail is inspirational. Keep it up. But remeber to take a moment for yourself.
Sarah, it is good to see you are ok after the glue thing! Great work!
Oh, you cleaned up nicely for a person doused in spray glue😁👍
I hope Angel food cakes is absorbing your sarcasm, innuendoes, and references, not to mention he is watching a good teacher in mechanics and cleanliness.
I sincerely hope, whoever wins this bug could use it. It might be a life saver in this economy. I'm sure they will appreciate the pasting you went through to deliver a well put together VW.
4:39 - I think that's true for restoring any old car. And for cars that weren't that popular, you don't even get the aftermarket option. So it's either rusty old junk or make it yourself.
I think an Angel Food Cake T-shirt should be offered in the merch store. Just an idea.
I am now glued to your channel.
In the PC building community, when you get wires that are too long, make the most of it by trying to hide them. For example, feed it along the backside of another part where there's maybe a less direct route.
I like watching videos by Sarah :)
Hi Sarah always enjoy the videos and Angel food cake just adds to it. That colour in England is called duck egg blue- because it’s the colour of English duck eggs! Other than that description I have no idea what it’s called. Just a thought but would you add a picture of your watch face with a description to your videos when you change a face please? I can’t be the only person who is curious about your watch faces and would like to download it myself. Keep up the entertainment and I look forward to more content that I can learn from.
Ps- die hard ur Quattro fan have been an addict since 1983 watching Michelle Mouton rally. Sorely missed
It's fun to watch AFK's facial expressions, head shaking and eyes rolling as he reacts to Sarah humor.
Years ago, in my youth I owned a 1960 VW Bug, no gauges, no gas gauge. Just a speedometer and two idiot lights. When the motor coughed, indicating lack of fuel I switched valve by the gas pedal and had another 50-60 miles of gas, a reserve tank like my motorcycle! In college I drove a 1970 VW Bug. It sported some Porsche parts and was super quick.
I’ve actually added “carefuling” to my vocabulary!
Same!!! 😁🤣
Wow! It’s looking great!
Angel is a great addition to the channel.
Thanks!
Another great video, very calm and deliberate in the details, without the explosive conclusion this week. I know it feels tedious to you, but it's all these little detail items you and Food Cake are having fun with that are what will make this project such an amazing experience for some lucky viewer!
Truly impressive! This is something I have always wanted to do but didn't have the money or the time. I had a 1970 beetle for three years from 1985-88, but got tired of constantly fixing it, and didn't have the time or patience to do what you're doing here. You have my respect.
I just went back in time and watch your getting personal video. This is where you said you'd like to have extra funding and people to work with you because you had big ideas and get more projects done. Just look at you now you've made big strides and really became my favorite female RUclips subscriber. You are the best truly you can do anything when you set your mind to it. I'll speak for everybody we love you and all you do for us.
At a guess the headlight buckets are 1960's Porsche Mint Green
With every video you release on this thing, the regret that I can't enter to win it grows. This is such a great car.
"look at all the glue spackle all over the place, that's what my face looked like last night...." I might get some crap for this, but that was a totally missed TWSS... 🤣
Angel foodcake has been BeeQueefed! All hail the mighty cake! Car looks great!!
I dare say that Ragnar is a handsome fellow. Can’t wait to here the engine purr 😁.
Congrats to the lucky one who gets to take home this VW bug. From my perspective, I wish I could of been part of the entire build. The education from rebuilding Ragnar from top to bottom is priceless. Everybody should purchase a Ragnar T-shirt before they are sold out. 😁
So cool,,,built my first bug in high-school in 1976 when they were taken off road ,,many great weekend memories
I used the same headlight upgrade as you did on my 95 Tacoma! Hella glass with a replaceable bulb! 💡
Take a tip from experience. Change that rubber fuel line to a steel braided one, NOW. The rubber ones fail from heat and cause fires all the time in VW engines.
I am really loving this car build Sarah. I like this bug . my mom had one when I was kid and we had so much fun in it .
Definately Angel food cake should be on more videos, the gratuitous cheesy smile from inside the car while your talking serious car progress is hilarious!
Sarah, .i worked on bugs for years. its so fun watching you and the challenges you have to figure out working on it. I could have given you lots of pointers to make it simple, One is, balance the engine on a floor jack when installing or removing, much easier to maneuver into place, also, just use an impact wrench to remove or install the flywheel nut, no one ever torqued that nut and I never saw a problem (hundreds done)
Sarah is on fire and looks stunning! Clearly, the glue rocket accident is a thing of the past. Whew...
Also, Angel Food Cake looks good on camera. IMHO, him and Sarah make a great mechanical duet.
Hey Sarah that spray on contact adhesive has done wonders for your hair. It looks great.
Wow Ragnar is looking fabulous! Those few parts really pulled it together
I will be sad to see Ragnar go. Have loved this build so much. Hope you have time to do a car review on it before it gets carted off to the new owner
It is all coming together and you have done a terrific job. WOW!! Can't wait to see the next couple of videos where you finish up and we get to see the final Ragnar. Until next time... Wrench safe.
That's one of the most beautiful car's I have seen in a while
send the hose below. - Chevelle (underrated comment!)
Loved the video.....I really like the way you set up the suspension with those knobby tires and the stock 4 bolt steel rims......Never owned one before but I'd sure love to have a Sarah bug.
Sarah I came to your project towards the end. I now want to get another bug and start my own rebuild again. Subbed
Good to see you are doing well after the Glue Attack. 😊
Hint from the future old cars and things like seat frames take old one to fabricator half the cost great build. No 3 month wait.
Plus you can select the materials cheap to jewelry.
Possible to save lots of weight to.
Dont forget the cassette deck with beegees
14:06: Two words I never thought I would hear Sarah say. 😁
@sarah - it'd be super sweet if you did one of your standard reviews on Ragnar after it's done! Give it the scores and everything!
Yes! Clamps was one of the ganster robots on Futurerama.
“An intelligent person would have changed this bracket before putting the engine in…” Sarah, don’t sell yourself short! You are extremely intelligent and I am showing my daughter your videos to inspire her to do what you do. Keep it up!
Work your magic girl. See if you can find a Rally Fighter. You'll go nuts of the specs and build. I would love to hear your opinion on it and maybe go cross country in it only taking the back roads and dirt roads 🤔🤔 that would be killer
I hate that I found this series AFTER the giveaway ended!! I would love this beetle! Great job!
A possible warning, the Hella Headlights "may" not say "DOT" on them, as such, an a-hole state inspector in the state it ends up in may fail them, as such, the new owner may wish to temporally put in standard "dot approved" sealed beam headlights for inspection day.
Headlight buckets look like smoke grey- very common industrial colour finish. Most ship's electrical cabinets are that colour.
Glad you recovered from the glue bomb, great professional chemistry between you and Angel! Can't wait to see and hear the Beetle run!
Always wanted a beetle, but they quit making them about the time I could have afforded one. Both my other brother and sister had one. I learned to drive a stick on them.
I took the power seats out of a 88 mercury topaz and put them in a 69 bug. Perfect fit. First ever VW bug with power seats. I miss that car.
Put a GTi front end on my Jetta VR6 when I was a kid. Had to get new wiring harnesses for the Hella headlamps because of the separate bulbs for high and low beams. On the way to pick them up, I got in a wreck and totalled the car. Get a little misty every time I see Hella headlights now because I never got to turn mine on.
The 'gold-zinc' coating on the bracket is called Cadmium plating....just saying...
Awesome, I was hoping for a new video tonight. Thank you Sarah
You're killing it! Love your attention to detail, your humour and your skills. Not ashamed to say I enjoy looking at you as much as listening to you!
That adjustable radio antenna is the perfect roost for one of Sarah's penguins.
Hey Sara. Enjoying the bug restoration. But…. I miss the Ranger,,, when will you be doing a review of that?
I have used the old windshield butyl tape to attach the plastic vapor barriers on car doors when I was in the glass business. They make a 1/4" X 1/8" which is perfect for the job. I don't know if that stuff is still available we used to use it to install aftermarket sunroofs.
Would be great to see this gem in the trail. Well done.
Bacon jam pop tarts actually sound decent. Throw some maple icing on them joints and call it dog food.
You should install a flower on the dash like on the original New Beetle.
Seldom does aftermarket stuff fit all the models as they claim to do. Usually, it has to be altered, tweaked, adjusted, modified, reinvented, shimmed, trimmed, bent, repainted to make it work. Usually, it takes all these actions.
Sarah, thank you for restoring Ragnar to his former glory....and then some. A fine looking Beetle. Can't wait for the first drive!!
Sarah ur 4x4 Bug looks incredible coming along nicely glad u went new with front & rear lights know could put that hood on by yourself u just didn't want scratch the nice white paint job can't blame u tho.
Great job on the video Sarah! Thanks for making it. And thank you for doing all this work all in order to just give it away to one of your fans. Pretty dope.
Look how far she's gone, she's giving away a full car rebuilt by her!
Sarah, you are gorgeous! Who would not love to help you?
I bet you cringe when you hear Stuck on You , by Lionel Richie! It’s going to be awesome to hear Ragnar running and see it driven! Great job Sarah and Angel
Love sharing your videos with my daughter's! You're a fantastic influence and roll model!!
All that you need with your glue disaster is for a pillow to explode and get feathers everywhere. 🤣
You should be tarred and feathered for that one!
Sarah.... I'm a big fan of your work. I'm impressed with your work ethic and attention to detail but please finish this VW.
The S580 Benz you did a machine review on. The dimples in the belly pan are there same reason as golf ball. Drag reduction 👍🏴🇨🇦🇺🇦
Extra wire, wrap it around a pencil to make a little coil
Your summary of restoring an old aircooled VW is spot on.
I can't believe that you're doing a Yugo for the next project! That Geo Storm drivetrain should work well, though.
Way to go Sarah, suffering through! You are "One Tough Cookie!" Door Stop/Door Stop/Do NOT Stop! J
I built a Baja out of a a'71 Beetle when I was 16 years old in Louisiana and it turned out awesome. It was burned after a transformer at a mall caught on fire and melted it. I've boohooed about that car my ever since. Whaa whaaaaaaaa.... sniff sniff sniff.
What a great job you've done on this thing. I can't say I'm a fan of the wheels and tires, a nice set of Fuchs without the off road stance would have made it drive so much better IMHO, but other than that, I think it's going to be quite impressive when finished.
I see what you did with the title. 👀
Raise the question: Why don't people get sick when eating BratWurst, when it's clearly a spoiled sausage?
Ragnar is starting to look fantastic. Your attention to detail is commendable. If you were not putting it up for give-a-way we could talk trade. Ha, Ha...My 65' Corvair Conv. has almost the same engine except 2 cyl. more and 140 hp. I believe you'd love work on it.
Your hair survived the glue and solvent debacle👍🏽👍🏽 beetle is another Sarah work of art. Volkswagen stuff is totally engineered…mostly good and all functional. The heater is complicated and almost useless. Those cars sold a lot of down jackets.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
You hollered when your head was in the engine compartment and I thought, "Oh, no! She's stuck!" :D Good job as usual!!!
Ragnar looks great! Great videos.
This build came out better than I could have ever imagined. You did an amazing job Sarah from start to finish. I'm going to miss this build series when it's over, but in true Sarah-N-Tuned fashion I'm betting the next build will be just as awesome!
Hopefully you have enough content to take a vacation soon, you come first, take care of you.
Good quality parts.... Sarah, you missed the lose nut behind the wheel. 🤣
Great content as usual. VW/audi sells butyl in large rolls. Pn D-450-P00-M2. It's thick and also has a filament (thread) running through it.... the PN I listed is used for resealing the HV battery on e-trons and other EV's after they have been taken apart. I think they sell other rolls as well bit haven't run across it yet
The bug is looking phenomenal! Great job.
Headlight bucket color reminds me of zinc chromate primer they use inside Navy planes. Maybe a shade lighter. See it a bunch on marine boat stuff I work on.
