K.Schwager is simply the company who made these logos, they are located in Pforzheim, which is located between Stuttgart and Karlsruhe in the South Western part of Germany.

The car turned out exactly as predicted....about as perfect as you can get without pushing the budget into the 6-figure neighborhood. You have the process SO nailed down, it`s amazing. Big UPs to Charlie, Angel Foodcake, and the guys in the garage next to yours ! Looking forward to your next project.

@@icanfartloud Restoration costs are directly related to the amount of time & labor spent, and not the make or model of the car. If you`ve ever seen an Icon Derelict restoration, you`ll realize why people spend three to four HUNDRED THOUSAND dollars on what looks to be a rusty old heap....

there's got to be a behind the scenes crew of mechanics, video editors, producers, etc - how this girl gets everything done by herself is mind blowing
Sarah really did that all by herself apart from one or two of her shop mechanics pitching in to help! This is usually a six month job and it took a lot of elbow grease, time and hard work. There are very few people who would do that themselves because as Sarah admitted, much of it was boring! The end result however made it all worth it!
No, I just sacrifice my mental and physical health to do all this shit myself 😂

This is easily my favorite restoration. I don’t know what your next one is, but I’d like to see you do a 70s Z or a Gen 3 Supra. Both are still fairly affordable and don’t get much attention.
It is Japanese, but that’s all I’ll say for now.

Brings back memories of my days in USAF Honor Guard. We used that stinky BRASSO in a can to restore shine to bullet casings we presented to the bereaved spouse/family member along with the U.S. Flag after the traditional 21 gun salute send-off to the deceased servicemember.

This was my first car. Back then we would put a 50lb sandbag in the frunk; much better ride and added absorption zone in a collision.

Having Angel help at the end made this possible, he tackled stuff that is difficult to film and make interesting. Also having Fred and him do the block sanding and skim coat saved a lot of time.

'Pforzheim' is a town in Germany - so I think the company manufacturing the emblems back in the days was located there.

I love the moderate utilitarian overlander look/build. That's pretty much how I'd want an old beetle built if I had one.
Plus since it's a mild off road-ish vehicle but not 4WD. It's not a very heavy, so it wouldn't need a huge expensive winch to pull itself outta trouble. I think it'd look cool with some diy F&R black tube winch bumpers.

This by far the best VW I have seen. I really like the attention to every little detail. Great car.
It never fails, whenever Sarah cleans or polishes a car I see a spot and just want to scream "you missed a spot". Then I realize it's a spot on my screen and I feel like such a fool.
I'm still using like 30 year old 3M swirl mark remover from back when I used to detail cars out of HS...It's pretty much gel at this point. BUt it still works. lol.

I’m sure you know, but in case Angel forgot, the front wheel axle caps aren’t on. You probably got aftermarket ones that didn’t fit. If not on the axel grease is going to mess up your detail job, & the grease will get contaminated. I only noticed because you and Angel did a stellar job. ;-) nice job as usual!

It has some dirt nibs and shrink back I could have wet sanded out. The prep in the door jams could have been better, and I ever so slightly dinged the hood from the underside having it sit on the stand in the corner for so long.
I dont think i could let this vehicle go if i was u. Its such a one off, truly a beauty!! Thanks for all ur content thru many years, been a sub since under 1000, keep it going, u bring inspiration to many folks, and u prove hard work an ur OCD :) brings beautiful results!! 🤘🏽
We used to use Nevrdull on the front accesory housing of the B52 engines. Don't tell QC....
