I will say that after doing your moisture method, I will NEVER, NEVER go back to what I thought was proper moisturizing. I used your method Sunday, my hair was beautifully moisturized the next day and all I had to do after work/working out, was retwist. Tuesday, I just spritzed water and retwisted. My hair is loving it. I love how it feel to the touch and most importantly, I love the fact that I don't have to remoisturize nightly and my hair looks good the next day, for the week. Wow. by far and hands down, your technique is the BEST!
I would just like to say "THANK YOU" I been watching you tube videos for about 6 months and big chopped 4 months I go. I do so much research because I have falling in love with my hair and taking care of it. I just came across your channel about an hour ago and noticed how your personality shines, how informative you are and how you seem to be so kind and sweet. After a thousand videos you are the first that has explained moisturizing your hair this way. I recently watched your protein moisture balance video as well. Again thanks for all the info, new subbie here so I have a lot of catching up to do. TFS Bless you and your family!!
+Keyan Davis Thank you so much for writing this comment. I am so happy that our videos have helped you. If you ever have any questions on any of them, please let us know. Be blessed.
This channel is so helpful, thank you for taking time out of your life to make these videos for your viewers. The same for your daughters. I really appreciate it and I'm sure other subscribers do too. This is my fav channel 4 type hair care tips 😃
Thank you SO MUCH for this and all of your other videos. As a caucasian mother of a nine year old girl with 4c hair, not only am I always looking for ways to help her hair stay healthy and beautiful, I am also starting to teach her how to learn to take care of her own hair. I love this method of moisturizing as I always was using a wide tooth comb to move the moisturizer through, but found no matter how gentle I did it, some hair would break off. Thank you so much again!! xo
I moisturize my hair by using the lco method and I always start moisturizing the ends of my hair and working my way up, but I never thought about moisturizing my roots first as well. I will try this method to see if moisture will stay on longer because so far for now I have to moisturize my hair everyday until the day I cowash and it can be annoying to do it every day.
I used your tips on applying products yesterday while I was doing my hair and watching your videos. The tips worked instantly and my hair was still moisturizer this morning even though I didn't finish styling before bed. Thank you so much. Your hair and your daughters hair is so beautiful, healthy and shiny.
DiscoveringNatural you're so welcome and thank you. I shared your video on a Facebook hair page I'm on and one of the ladies tried it while she watched the video. She posted a pic of her results and she said it worked for her too. She said she's excited to see if it's still soft today when she takes it down 🤗. I think it will be. Mine stayed soft and is still soft. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
This was SUPER helpful. I tried this technique last night with the LOC method on my low porosity hair ( I normally do LCO) and I noticed a difference in how my hair felt the next day. Granted my hair was very dry to begin with so I wasn't expecting super moisturized hair, but I definitely had more moisture in my hair than usual. Thank you so much for this video! :-)
lovely video! i moisturize my hair using the LOC method i use a liquid like water or i will use a leave in my favorite is Shea moisture raw shea butter conditoner,i apply the oil. Olive oil, jojoba oil,jbc oil. and then i finally seal in the moisture with, TGIN butter cream daily moisturizer my high porosity hair LOVESSSSS these products :)
+Dunmininu Olofinjana Thank you so much. A lot of time we don't take time to listen to our hair, we rush hough the proceas. I find doing my hair especially moisturizing it very therapeutic.
I always saturate with water 1st then apply a heavy cream. I may or may not apply an oil because sometimes it it can be too much for my hair. Other times I'll just use my whipped shea butter after the water. This video was very helpful. I will start pressing the product(s) in more than I do now.
Love how you apply product which I will incorporate into my regimen. I apply product from bottom up but I find lack of sheen and using way to much product, this way is much easier. Thank you❤
I did something similar to this a few days ago. I'm trying to ease off combs and learn to finger detangle more. And, I actually feel my hair being moisturized and softened as I rub the products into my strands. It takes longer to do; but, taking my time with my hair is worth it. I am use to just slapping products on, combing/brushing through really quick, twisting, and moving on to the next section. I've noticed my ends stay damage with this technique. Lol!
Thanks wow it's a big difference the second way you moisturiser your hair with water first wow thank you!! Yes i do it just like how you show when you first started to moisturiser your hair but not anymore from watching this video thanks so much
Thank you!!! I was doing the other way. now I understand why my hair would be so dry and a lot of product just will be sitting on top and my hair will turn white all the time I didn't understand but I get it now thanks again for the video
I find your videos so useful and soooo informative thank you so much. To be honest I thought your hair looked moisturised before you put product on it 😉😌 I loved the little curls what popped more as you massaged the product through 👍🏾👌🏾. Your hair is sooooo healthy. I've used some of your tips on my daughters hair as she's a loose natural 👌🏾 I have Locs 🙆🏽 but love your channel for great tips for natural hair. I love ❤️ your voice too so soothing. God bless you sis! 😘❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏾🙆🏽💆🏾
+Maz777 Naturals Thank you so much . This was such a wonderful comment to read. I really do appreciate you for it. I wish you continual healthy hair for you and your kids
Thank you so much for all the information and instructions you give which I follow on all your videos your hair is so beautiful and healthy looking I have not found your video on what type of cream to use in the Locker method so can you recommend some good cream's to use I appreciate it thank you
Thank you so much. The ones we have used a creamy moisturizers. There are many and only trial will help you find the one that works for you. Eden bodyworks curl defining cream, as I am curl enhancing smoothie and tgin buttercream are some you can try. There are others in this moisturizing playlist bit.ly/DN_Moisturizing_Natural_Hair_PL
Thank you so much for sharing this. It was very informative. I use LBO- method and that method has helped me a lot for moisturizing my hair, for long lasting.
Great advice. I normally do loc or lco and I will apply it the way you stated should not be applied. I will try moisturizing my hair using this technique, however I noticed you didn't use an oil to seal. Would you recommend doing so using your technique? Also, what cream did you use? Thanks again for the great information.
+Cara J I didn't seal with oil with this product because it contains a lot of oils. Product information is in the description area. Yes, you can seal with a oil using this method.
This video emphasizes the need to diligently coat hair with your moisturizer so as to make sure hair does not get dry easily. So with using the LOC or LCO method, you will spray the water, and then oil and cream or vice versa. I did not use oil with this moisturizer because it contains a lot of oils already
thankX for the video....its wash day today......i will definitely take this into consideration..iv had my hair in A protective style for two whole weeks and its quiet dry now..just had to ask if i can just use a leave-in conditioner by Cantu and coconut oil only? dnt really have a favorite cream yet.
+miss_pinkglam 101 Yes, you can. Also if you do long protective style for more than 2 weeks, take a look at this ruclips.net/video/BvEEmREOqh4/видео.html
+Cara J You can apply any products this way however, please note that oil alone is not a moisturizer. Shea butter, raw, is a sealant, which locks in any moisture you put in.
I agree with you absolutely that oil is not a moisturizer. However, I did use this technique yesterday and today, my hair looked amazing. I will continue this method/technique. Fantastic advice! Love it.
+Kiki Benton It should definitely be as needed, because your climate can be different from mine, hair porosity can be different, so can product used and health of the person.
I use the Shea moisture Jamaican black castor oil leave in conditioner and a mixture of castor, avocado, jojoba oils and vitamin E. However by Monday my hair is dry. What can I do?

Great advice. I normally do loc or lco and I will apply it the way you stated should not be applied. I will try moisturizing my hair using this technique, however I noticed you didn't use an oil to seal. Would you recommend doing so using your technique? Also, what cream did you use? Thanks again for the great information.
+Cara J I didn't seal with oil with this product because it contains a lot of oils. Product information is in the description area. Yes, you can seal with a oil using this method.
Thank you.
Hi
Pls confirm it looked like u only did spray water and cream as a leave in but no oil??Is that right??
This video emphasizes the need to diligently coat hair with your moisturizer so as to make sure hair does not get dry easily. So with using the LOC or LCO method, you will spray the water, and then oil and cream or vice versa. I did not use oil with this moisturizer because it contains a lot of oils already
Thank you for all the detail.

Hello again. Could this technique work with an oil or Shea butter? If so, which oil would you recommend? Thank you.
+Cara J You can apply any products this way however, please note that oil alone is not a moisturizer. Shea butter, raw, is a sealant, which locks in any moisture you put in.
I agree with you absolutely that oil is not a moisturizer. I guess what I was asking is, if I applied water (moisturizer), which type of oil could I use (other than raw shea butter/castor oil, sealants) and get the same results? However, I did use this technique yesterday and today, my hair looked amazing. I will continue this method/technique. Fantastic advice! Love it.
How do I seal the moisture on a tapered 'fro (think Issa Rae's hair length)? Should I bag my hair?
+JerseyBred323 after apply your product in layer, you can take a little thick butter or oil and apply to the canopy /ends of your hair
DiscoveringNatural Thanks!
How often should we moisturize? Should it be as needed?
+Kiki Benton It should definitely be as needed, because your climate can be different from mine, hair porosity can be different, so can product used and health of the person.
Great tutorial!

how often do you moisturize your hair
+trevinia turner I moisturize my hair as needed. But I have gone 5 days by using this method.
I try the loc method for my hair and once it is dry it still looks like it needs moisture. I loc every morning and night.
TiUndra Nelson You could try switching it around, using the moisturizing cream before oil. ie LCO, that might help.
Isn't oil also a sealant
Yes, thick oils like castor oil
I use the "Lo" method
is that just liquid and oil?
i seem to have gravitated to that as well. It's a matter of listening to what your hair wants.
+Nera Natural Thanks for sharing your routine
Either Leave in or liquid and oil.. I don't mess with creams and Shea butters any more.
Yes indeed
Pls can I use hair mayonise in LOC or LCO
I have only used it this way before ruclips.net/video/IqJ11iaXT0w/видео.html
@@DiscoveringNatural thanks. So what cream do you recommend for LOC or LCO. Thanks

Does this work for short natural type 4 hair
Yes, just make sure all your strands are evenly coated
I use the Shea moisture Jamaican black castor oil leave in conditioner and a mixture of castor, avocado, jojoba oils and vitamin E. However by Monday my hair is dry. What can I do?
And my hair is thick in the roots and normal towards the ends. It's been this way for sometime now. What should I do? Thank you
