These tips definitely helped, I think my hair is healthy because my hair shrinks a lot, and also when people stretch it it springs back, it's very soft, and I do hair masks every month or so. ❤️✨💕💞👑❄️️🌸
I can’t help but to get upset when women who always flat iron have heat damage. Then think that is there natural type 🤦🏽♀️ my hair type changed 3 times
I have all of those! Shrinkage, elasticity, soft and strong hair, and sheen. I shampooed my hair once and let it mostly air dry, it was still pretty good.

My hair is completely Damaged from hair relaxers 😓Do you recommend shaving off and regrowing with all your hair advice ?I haven’t relaxed for about (5-6 months)my hair falls out when I’m in shower ,and Every time I comb it not a little bit hair lots and lots of hair!!
With hair that is transitioning to natural, it can be very fragile. If you don’t wish to do big chop (cutting off your relaxed part) , you must be gentle with your hair. Try not to comb while dry. Use a lot of conditioner when Detangling. First use your fingers. Here is a playlist for transitioning to natural ruclips.net/p/PLCT7rEmj0XkxAQoNpG-d_V0EiSAYB7xoX
Thank you for the informative video. My hair is not as elastic as it used to be and has been very fragile and breaking for the last few months. I tried protein treatments but I think my hair needs a moisture Based solution. I havn’t used heat in months and now trying to repair my hair. It is extremely dry so I am going to try restore the moisture and see if that helps. I may need to do a cut but I am going to try treat it with moisture first. Can you please help me with some guidance on how to go about repairing dry and breaking 4c hair? Thanks.

Thanks for bringing out the shine part becus I have everything, you mentioned as far as Healthy hair, Im just working on getting in trimmed regularly and adding oils
I really like your videos and this one definitely helped to show that my hair is healthy. However, I just did the big chop in July and I still have a really short TWA, could you make a video to help us really short TWAs with hair care tips like what to do at night and other suggestions? Thank you so much for what you do!
after hearing you describe whether hair is healthy or not, I know now i'm doing everything right cause I have the shrinkage, the elasticity but I do have a problem with the softness, so I guess I have to do the greenhouse method for a while, thank you
You are welcome. I just recently spoke about the difference between the green house effect and bagging method. Did you see this video: ruclips.net/video/i5c7_B0TCRA/видео.html
Thanks for your research! My hair is a bit elastic but doesn't shrink that much. It's considered soft to the touch by many. ..I'm struggling with moisture. I can't keep my hair moisturized for more than 2 days. I spray (water + carrot oil) and seal again with Shea butter. I cowash every other day but my hair is still dry. Any help @DiscoveringNatural
+Irma Ebene try another moisturizer after your spray and before the shea butter. I love shea butter for my hair because it has really increased the moisture retention of my hair. That being said, try a leave in or some type of cream moisturizer before the oil. And to be honest, if you're using shea butter and you like carrot oil you might as well mix the two together into a cream whipped shea butter mix and apply it as just one step. I have this DIY shea butter, castor oil, olive oil cream I use and my hair loves it. So what you want to do is clarify your hair just to give it a fresh start, then deep condition really well and apply an oil like grapeseed or olive oil on top your deep conditioner. Deep condition for at least 30 minutes with a good deep conditioner . When you go in to apply your leave in products , see if the sections you've dried off respond better to the product better than the soaking wet sections. After seeing which part makes your hair more moisturized, you now know which state of hair to start out on. Then go in with a light moisturizer, heavy cream etc whichever one you prefer to use then seal in the moisture like how I said above and make sure you coat every strand from root to tip. I hope this helped
Where I live, we do not have harsh winter, however, I wear my hair out about once a week, most of the time, it is in a low manipulative style like twists
Hi....I know I'm late, but I wanna know. When I wash my hair, when it touches water it doesn't really shrink, but when I'm washing it properly it shrink SO MUCH, so is it healthy or not. And when I let it air dry it VERY stiff
@@DiscoveringNatural I mean when I put water in my hair (wanting to wash it) it doesn't really shrink, but once A LOT of water touches me hair then it shrink and I don't put conditioner

Thanks for the info. You've just really enlightened me on what the problem is I'm currently having with my 4yr. old's hair. She has a TWA and little balls of her hair will literally come out as soon as i touch it, and i think it's really due to me not moisturizing her hair enough. My husband and i work a lot, so her grandmother watches her and she goes days without having any moisture put in her hair. Her hair is extremely thick and heavy products just sit on her hair, do you have any suggestions on products that i can try on her. I'm currently using the kinky kashmere line, and it seems to be doing ok, but i wanted to see if something else could give her hair more moisture.
You are welcome. Can you please send me your message on my facebook page, DiscoveringNatural as a private message so that I can work with you one on one?
thanks for this video...very helpful..question..what's your thoughts on protein overload? is this real? can this actually happen? if so what are the signs of protein overload? how do you fix it? what product would you recommend to use to rejuvenate hair back to its healthy state? thank you and love watching

Thank you so much for your videos. Your channel is growing and I'm proud to be a subscriber. learn a lot from you and tried what you recommended and it really help my hair to grow. I love you sooooo much❤😘 Btw: You are so beautiful, how do you keep your face so clear?
Hi!!! Welcome to our channel. We hope you enjoy it and learn from it. Feel free to watch our vlogs on DNVlogsLife channel. We recorded our vacation to Nigeria.
Great tips. I have a question. My hair has always shrunk a lot and that's fine but I am curious to know why my hair does not hold a stretch. No matter which stretching method I use (and I've used them all) my hair starts to shrink as soon as I remove the band's. Or as soon as I undo the twists or as soon as I finish blow drying and undo my hair it only lasts on average 2-3 hours and will FULLY revert back. Any thoughts on why this is?
+Carol King It could be the product you use. If your moisturizer contains glycerin or ingredients that draws moisture from the air, the moisture can be put in your hair causing it to shrink more. Also, what is your hair porosity, if it is high porosity, it could be soaking up any moisture it finds from the atmosphere.
+DiscoveringNatural Thanks so much for your reply. I use mostly creme of nature argan oil products and 1 or 2 of them do contain glycerine. My hair is low porosity.
What about a twa? I cut my hair 3 weeks ago so it's about 2 inches long all around. But it's thick. I spray it with water twice a day and add oil but it feels dry. But when I touch it it's oily. I deep condition weekly. It's soft but looks dry. I don't know what to do. Type 4c hair.
When it comes to moisturizing, please know that oil is not a moisturizer. You need true moisturizer. Here are some suggestions: ruclips.net/video/WQA449zgvgw/видео.html&list=PLCT7rEmj0Xky6XuOXgit_biwollZj4HXI&index=3
Do you use heat in your hair? Do you do protein treatment? It is possible that you have Hair elasticity loss or if you constantly use heat, you might have heat danage
what if you never have shrinkage when your a baby and grown even if it's healthy and long. and what If it's not damaged . does that mean it's still damaged. or healthy
The hair texture you have as a baby changes as you grow to toddler to an older child even to womanhood and mature woman. With age, age texture changes. As a baby "infant" your hair has not been greatly introduced to elements that will damage it. As you grow older, there are different factors that can damage it; from heat, styling mishaps, chemical use, and even hard water. All natural hair has some form of shrinkage. One person's shrinkage can differ from other people. However, if you notice a change in the shrinkage factor where it does not shrink at much, it could be damaged in some form.
+Demilade Adesina Are you natural? When you wet your hair, does it have the same appearance I'm length as when it is dry? Do you blow out your hair regularly?
DiscoveringNatural my hair was born naturel I never put chemicals in my hair because everytime I wash it my hair is longer or the same length before I washed it only if I need to cut the edges or if there is any hair that needs to go like say if I do single braids and there might be any of my real hair that's tangled or need to go because it's old and it's been there for a while . and also if I wash my hair all the bad and old hair will get out of my head because when you wash your hair it makes it look fresher than when you didn't. and cleaner .becauss my hair is fulll and long it's kind of hard to comb but when I wash it its much easier

Hi. Thanks for watching this video. It was recording a while back😂 I am now at 183k subscribers. Regarding how you earn money on RUclips, it all depends on the advertisers CPM that RUclips pays and even with that RUclips takes a percentage and if you are in a network they also take a cut so you are left with some money. Not a super huge amount if you don’t get lots of people watching your ads. So if people watch ads, you get more money. You can have a million subscribers and still don’t make enough to pay rent or mortgage. I actually have a channel where I teach social media platforms like RUclips. Here is the link ruclips.net/user/Editsbyeni
@@DiscoveringNatural hi, thank you so much for replying, I appreciate it. 😊 So, in regards to how much money YTs make, what I don't understand is, how comes a lot of African American YTs have videos where so many have bought these massive, large homes? How many SUBs did they have to have? 😳 😅
+Nickeyshia Nicholson How has your hair's elasticity been in the past? In addition have you used heat recently or often. One other thing is sometimes when people wear buns too often, their hair can stay in a stretch manner and loss of elasticity can occur.
I don't use heat at all but I wear high puffs alot. So maybe that's the problem idk my porosity, hair type or density I just try to keep it as moisturized as I can.😩
Shrinkage is one of the most fascinating phenomenons its such an illusion to your actual length its crazy and we all have different amounts.

@@DiscoveringNatural hi, thank you so much for replying, I appreciate it. 😊
So, in regards to how much money YTs make, what I don't understand is, how comes a lot of African American YTs have videos where so many have bought these massive, large homes? How many SUBs did they have to have? 😳 😅
my hair doesn't snap back that easily it takes a lil time to contract.😩 Does that mean my hair is not healthy?😣
So maybe that's the problem idk my porosity, hair type or density I just try to keep it as moisturized as I can.😩
I thought at first the title was signs your hair is not healthy then she said shrinkage and I was like scared
Thanks for watching. I am glad you watched the video to understand what the video was all about.
