Jaraxxus is too powerfull to be afected by the likes of Sacred Trial. Only the absolute might of Sacrificial pact can bow the mightly demon.

And who, but a great incarnation of evil would kill a repenting soul in cold blood? Each time that combo happens, it was in fact a ruse by Jaraxxus to throw atention away from his new form. But we know the demor for who itt is, as no mortal player would ever run a deck that can get both of those secrets while playing vs warlock.

Harry Jones I'm making an assumption that in hand will work the same way as on draw effects like the mine from iron juggernaut. There are no other spells that activate in hand atm.

Char 11 flame leviathan isn't a spell and therefore, there is no reason to believe it would be affected by spell power

Today I played Summoning Stone Priest with the new Djinn. I just wanted to say that when I used Mind Control on an ENEMY minion, my Djinn got the effect too... and he killed himself. Silly?

Pretty sure it works that way because it activates after the minion is played, unlike the reduce enemy to 1 hp. That activates before or during the minion battlecry.
+Sans the Skeleton Actually, Repentance, Snipe, Mirror Entity and Sacred Trial all activate in the Phase after the Battlecry Phase, including all death processing in-between. (Otherwise SI:7 -> Mad Scientist -> Mirror Entity wouldn't work.)

The secret says "whenever >=4th minion is played, destroy it". But in fact it works as "whenever >4th minion is played and stays a living minion after battlecry, destroy it".
But even then the secret should not activate on Jaraxxus. It's just another example of flawed HS logic where everything happens in a random order, minions below 0 HP can be after healed and survive, secrets bug and etc.

For another inconsistenty aviana game text is "your minion cost 1" but if you play thaurisan the minion will cost 0 after. Normally the game text make the minion cost a specific price and not cost some mana less.

Hilarious video! I love how nearly all the cards visible are draw cards. I assume to get sacred trial and Jaraxxus as quickly as possible.
Had a similar moment where I summoned Jaraxxus and the "unlicensed" apothecary did enough damage to me that it killed gul'dan, despite Jaraxxus clearly displaying all of his attributes including health. Thankfully it was during a match with a friend so it wasn't too embarrassing.
But you won't always have a Jaraxxus at hand to check for the sacred trial

For those who don't know why this is an inconsistency:
There is a hard-coded interaction to allow Repentance and Snipe, which normally only trigger on minions, to trigger on Lord Jaraxxus the Hero.
Therefore Sacred Trial also has this hard-coded interaction (if it didn't, it would not trigger).
And we know Lord Jaraxxus the Hero can be Destroyed and dies to it (the Sac Pact/Lord Jaraxxus interaction).
Therefore Sacrificial Trial should destroy Lord Jaraxxus the Hero, yet it doesn't.

It KIND of make sense.
When a minion is played, the first thing that happens is that its eventual battle cry triggers before any enemy secrets can activate in response. In Jaraxxus' case he becomes a "hero" and no longer a "minion" when his battle cry resolves, thus the keyword "destroy" doesn't work on him.
This reasoning, however, doesn't justify why Sacrificial Pact works on jaraxxus...
It says kill a minion, Jaraxxus is not a minion anymore.
+RezzaNL Repentance reduces a minion's health to 1, and it works on Jaraxxus even as a hero. Same thing with Snipe.

The interaction between Jaraxxus and Snipe/Repentance is hard-coded (I'm sure Toast knows that, just directing it to people who don't). They probably just forgot about it and will hotfix.
i think this was intended. when jaraxxus is played it is considered a minion so sacred trial triggers, but when it actually does effect jaraxxus has become a hero so it cant be killed. i think sacred trial and repentance simply has different times of having the effect come into play.
its just my guess :p

i think this happens because the card really means: "if your opponent has at least 3 minions and plays another minion, destroy the minion that has been played" and as jaraxxus is not a minion anymore it can't be detroyed by this effect

It's not a minion after replacing the hero so it shouldn't get fucked by the secret since battlecry is supposed to work before secrets (ie: kezan mystic). In this case it works correctly.

Things are all working exactly the way they are supposed to. When you play a minion with battlecry:
1. The minion begins the summon
2. Secrets are activated
3. Secrets are completed
4. The battlecry is activated
5. The battlecry is completed
6. The minion finishes the summon.
In this case, repentance and snipe can be activated and completed before the battlecry activates, since the Jaraxxus is still a minion at this point. However, destroy is an exception to this order since even if a minion is killed (eg. repentance + snipe), the battlecry still goes off. Thus the secret is activated before the battlecry, but since you can't destroy him before the battlecry completes, the "destroy" part waits until after the battlecry's completion, by which time he has already become a hero and can't be destroyed anymore.
Hearhtstone does have a little bit if text loopholes, but a lot fewer than you think. It helps if you get to know the workings of the game better, DisguisedToast did some sort of challenge about the order of activations and completions about half a year back and a lot of pros made videos of them seeing how many they got right.

It's not inconsistant, the Jaraxxus animation happpens before the secret and when the secret does trigger, Jaraxxus is a hero not a minion.
I was playing in that legendary tavern brawl and i had 2 minions. I played cenarius(as the third minion) and summoned 2 treants. My opponents sacred trial went off and killed cenarius...
the sacred trial only affects minions played from your hand that you pay mana for so it will only kill cenarius also happens with onixia where it will only kill her and will never kill any one of the whelps
