X-Plane 11 | KATL Atlanta Imaginesim vs Nimbus V1/V2 comparison and review | Real World footage

- I compare the improvement between Nimbus V1 and V2 with Imaginesim versions of KATL Atlanta for X-Plane 11 and share my opinion of which to buy. I also compare Nimbus V2 with some real world footage taken Summer 2019 leaving VATSIM Atlanta LIVE!
(Note that at the time of uploading there is an issue with Nimbus V2 where the scenery blocks the ortho tile in the area)

One notable issue with Nimbus is within its code, there’s a well documented issue during “final approach” and “touchdown.”
Nimbus will cause some users to experience the sim crashing often followed by a “not enough memory” error message.
Not sure the exact issue but within the X-plane message boards consensus seems to be something within the scenery just off airport property.
I own both programs and while visually I prefer Nimbus, ImagineSim runs smoother without occasional scenery issues.
Nice Comparison. First thing I thought when lining up was the yuk grey squares and no chevrons at the thresholds and also not keen on the grass colours.
I choosed nimbus, i´m very happy with it.

I have been to Atlanta loads of times. This is how I see about it.
Nimbus: Nimbus, given is more experienced with X-Plane scenery developing. Therefore, they are more experienced with optimization and things like that. However, here are the cons of the Nimbus version.
1. The runway and taxiway textures are way to dark for me. I have loads of pictures from Atlanta airport and the textures on the ground is more bright in real life. ImagineSim did an amazing job with the coloring.
2. The "overhanging" area on the drop off area is dark. It isn't that dark. I know, it doesn't change anything.. but that would honestly bug me just because it is way to dark.
3. The victor loop isn't correct. It goes down more
There are a few more, I just can't think of it on top of my head. Now lets talk about the ImagineSim version.
Me personally, I bought the ImagineSim version. I feel like it is a lot better than the Nimbus version. I feel like I am actually going to Atlanta
Here are the pros of ImagineSim:
1. The coloring on everything is a lot better than the Nimbus version
2. The runway/taxiway slopes are a lot more realistic than the Nimbus version
Here are the cons of ImagineSim:
1. There needs to be some optimization. It isn't optimized because ImagineSim isn't used to developing for X-Plane, sadly.
Overall, I think that they are both great products. I do recommend the ImagineSim more over the Nimbus honestly though. I feel like ImagineSim did a much better job. ImagineSim sure does need a little work with the FPS, other than that.. it is an amazing scenery. I don't have any regrets about buying that scenery. I am glad I didn't go with the Nimbus. I would've been very disappointed.
The ImagineSim product is missing a building attached to the train station. I'm surprised you didn't mention this; the parking lot is completely wrong.
What do you mean the parking lot is wrong? With the ImagineSim?
@@CptLee33 I wrote this over a year ago. I can't remember. But I studied both products extensively and the Nimbus product was much more accurate.
the comparison at the beginning of the vid is inaccurate... the southwest 737 wasnt in the xplane part...
