The moment that blew my mind into space is when he's seshing that tennis court bank, bails a few times, goes for the stereotypical "this trick is hard I'm frustrated" board slam and then just bam fakes it out, flips the board down perfectly and hops on in one motion and skates away like totally 100 percent cool chill icy veins zone. NEXT LEVEL.
@@superwallaby6954my thoughts exactly, I was thinking Andy doesn’t seem like a board breaker, and then he does the sickest freaking drop I’ve ever seen. Based on the reaction he got from the cameraman I definitely think it was impromptu
Andy is a pure skater. He is not of the RUclips generation and he has something special, which is style. Like guitarists who can shred, it's not always great. Angus Young is what people love. So sure there are a ton of incredible skaters, but they suffer from sameness. Andy doesn't have that problem. He's a special dood and special skater.
That's what makes Andy no.1 in the world. Creativity. He's both an imperfections (in the way he skates), and a perfectionist (in the way he thinks and designs products). He'll be a multimillionaire in a few years, mark my words. More importantly, one of the most influential skaters of all time. Right up there with Mullen, Alva, Rocco, Hawk et al.
That sculpture he skated is Public Property, I got to show Andy the property map from the City a few months ago, its still illegal to skate because of the White Rock by-law, but the Strata that dude is from has no say over it.
My wife, youngest daughter (4 year old that started skating last year) and I watched "seen him" a few times. From the skating, to the quotes, to the skateboard skateboard ramp, to him never pushing unless he needs to ride through grass it's so sick from beginning to end. And that bench hippy jump is insane.
Why can't they have new guests in person? Restrictions are 10 people a group. So as long as everyone feels comfortable I don't see the point. Every other podcast is back to normal.
Thanks for covering Andy! He's a godsend to skating. Funny that the one commentator apparently wasn't familiar with freestyle. An important and awesome part of skating's DNA.
apart from his skating, which is amazing, you just gotta love his attitude and philosophy! he´s so creative and chill and he´s such an insane talent, and he´s not exactly humble about it, but he also is definetely not a dick about it, he´s just such a great person. oh and I love that he wears a helmet, because whenever someobody says "helmets are lame" or something like that, I tell them to google Andy Anderson. In my eyes someone talking against helmets is an insecure poser!
Super flow, tricks and mindset. The way he shifted the rude complainer conversation around was awsome. Telling him he’d wish je could be more polite about it. And yeah Vengaboys! Dutch guilty pleasure party anthems
Its definitely a west coast style mix amd whiterock B.C.is fight over the boarder. Huge skate community and Bellingham Wa. Corey Kennedy's influenced also. I learned to skate in long beach Ca in 1984 and moved to Pacific Northwest Wa. In 1990 91 and there style was so diffrent. I love the flow and colab. Rolling up curbs was when I was still pushing on my knees. West coast style for sure. Animal chin is a perfect fit cause he's not here in S.F.
i saw this the other day and i will keep saying it Andy is one of the best skaters to ever be the fact every one is still going on about his helmet or pads and not his skill its a shame he is the shit and better then most of the people saying it also as a man with kids he is a great roll model
people think canada is nicer because we have less people and we say sorry about that instead of excuse me, you only hear about the bad stuff and at 12% of the population your bound to hear 12% as much bad stuff. But yeah ive seen no evidence to support that claim besides saying sorry instead of excuse me. Im like the only canadian that says excuse me when your in my way. Sorry should be saved for when you mean it imo. when you hear somebody say excuse me in canada its to get your attention to talk.
Every single time I see Andy skate I’m compelled to grab my board and go. I’m 40, I can’t do anything on my board anymore, yes I’ve tried, but this dude is still motivating the hell out of me.
@@joshuagraham1265 there are definitely a lot of great skaters these days but Andy takes me back to watching Mullen vs Song, Welcome To Hell, Uno, the best classics I owned on vhs
Yah, he's seen him. So rad that he did the search and found Chin. He's got Chin's board in the back of his van for f@ck's sake! I knew this sh!t was real!
Andy's special enough where I'm worried that he trusts the wrong sketchball one day just because he's so nice. I hope he can balance being super cool with also having situational awareness and not getting cornered by someone dangerous. If he has a full career, he will change skating and inspire a bunch of people.
Yeah i was worried for that too. Its amazing how reasonable and calm he stayed with that one older guy in his video, they even got friendly with each other towards the end, on the other hand not everyone is like that. Lets hope his helmet and his quick push help him in that scenario
haha strait up, i got kicked off the SIDEWALK yesterday cuz dude said I was gonna break the recent cracks he had filled in with asphalt lmao. Nothing better to do/ not having fun himself so he wants to ruin it for everyone else lol
Probably not so much, these 9 club folks and 90 % of all current skaters are very mainstream when I comes to skateboarding. Ollie based street type stuff is what they know and anything else is considered not real tricks or “circus tricks” sad truth..
I feel like if you’re an Olympian you should be able to do your sport in all public and semi-public spaces. It’s not like Olympians fall out of the sky.
Video is rad! The park Muska did the ghetto blaster crook on the handrail is in white rock. Tom Penny es ad too. I'd consider that a pretty famous skate spot
6:27 hold up, can you guys prove this guy was just a random guy walking down the street or is that just speculation? I mean if it is his property, it's his property, right? And to argue someone needs to politely request someone to leave their property, assuming it is, is hypocritical to say the least but also kinda lame.
Someone else commented that the sculpture is actually public property. The guy was acting as if it belongs to the condo he lives in, but he was incorrect.
He even effects random people on the street with his skateboarding, you think a couple pros wouldn’t be hyped to see him being skating back to a time that people almost forgot about
It's like, ''oh watch my harsh surroundings as a skateboarder'' all victimizing while you are the origin of the problem, with all due respect. Whatever your vision is, you're not above someone else, so if you are hypocritical or whatever, but you can backflip the lion stair, I don't give a fuck
Thanks for talking about the tricks instead of the helmet, dudes!!

Who really cares. I mean who actually is dissing anyone with a helmet?
Most bmx guys wear em

Miss rog in the lineup . He has so much knowledge and insight that we’re missing.
andy and everything about Seen Him gets me insanely inspired

This dude is doing what he loves every day, and is exactly where he needs to be. Grateful to the universe for that
Just cool to see skater giving respect to each other.
How it should be
Slapp is pretty much only good for figuring out who uses what wood shops. The rest is not very fun.
So much of Andy is balance and dexterity/flexibility. He is always walking on rails and chains and what not.
Inspired by Christian Hosoi’s Chain Surfing 🏄♂️
