As a former blader I've always payed a bit of attention to skateboarding, but not all that much. After watching this, Andy is my favorite boarder. He's soft-spoken and honest, and throws down hard. I was actually taken aback by how soft-spoken he really is. You can tell he's a genuine, good-hearted person. Usually people with that sort of skill level seem to carry some sort of arrogance (not always) but this guy just isn't that guy. I hope he succeeds beyond his wildest expectations, and I hope my grandchildren are playing "Andy Anderson Pro Skater" on XBox 12. Thanks for the great video fellas, and God Bless.
Niggas like INFP type or some shit, pretty rare personality type to grab the board AND stay on it. People like him usually find some mentally stimulating work to take them away from the board, but I suppose his creative style allowed his mental creativity & sensitivity to become channeled and expressed in skateboarding.

"Really?" "Yeah." "... Sick." There are very few people who make the world a better place by simply existing as themselves. All three of these men are such people.

Like he said in this video he cant grab stalefish, and I think he said melon? He definitely has the talent to be great at everything, if he just spent time working on it hed reach top in no time.
Winning the olympics, while very impressive and beautiful for skateboarding, will forever be overshadowed by the person that embodied the esprit de corps of the sport. He did freestyle in the first ever olympic park contest. If that doesn't perfectly represent everything that skateboarding is in one symbolic gesture... well, he's my champion.

I skated as a teenager allot. Just for a timeline it was in the days of Guerrero and Hosoi, Natas and McGill and I've always casually followed it. This kid though,has me diving back into it like I'm ready to put a board together, he's a pretty special kid.
I so appreciate this conversation!! Your favorite car and toughest truck also cries. Think about the cooling system and how it has a burp valve that lest off pressure when it gets too hot. I believe that we have a cooling system and emotion is tied into this, and the physical tears are as necessary as the emotion that accompanies them. Too many of us men have "dismantled our cooling system" and are overheating emotionally and this blowing up a perfectly good engine for the sake of stupid pride. Good talk today guys!!! i haven't been on a board since the late 80s, I'm a musician, and artist. Andy Anderson IS not only one of the best skaters of all time, but his vibe is pure artist. The empathy, depth, thoughtfulness, presence, and authenticity that's natural too him, Andy is a PURE ARTIST! MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT!
I have been around skateboarding since 1980. I used to collect the thrasher mags and saw the original Bones Brigades. Early I was a poser and later I was building skate ramps. I tried the vision shoes, the jams shorts. The jimmy-z t-shirts and punk attire. I would look into the sport every once in a while after XGames and others. My favorite in the beginning was Steve Rocco. Followed by Rodney Mullen. My favorite board of all time was a Madrid Bill Danforth because of it space shuttle shape at the time followed by the Exploding clock design of Claus Grabke. When I first saw Andy Anderson, I saw something different. The way he expresses himself, his moves, his dedication to his skill made me look for all his videos. Hell, I even pondered buying one of his boards and I currently do not skate. If you want someone to look up to for this generation of skaters, choose Andy. For someone to be open and honest and to share with the world that he had that experience on that run, is just beautiful.

Super impressive he had those runs after getting injured. I rolled my ankle today, and although it wasnt too bad, it led to me ending my session early. Im also glad to see the, crying is okay, stuff. Having emotions and crying are human things.
You shouldn't risk making an injury worse. If it hurts, walk away and return when its better. But, this was the Olympics, and you can break that rule for a special occasion 😂
I LOVE the complete lack of toxic masculinity in this clip, and it's coming from the most gnarly looking dude in the chat. Jason knows what he's talking about. I LOVE crying... when I can. The worst part is wanting to cry, to let it out, and you just can't. So it ends up coming out in the weirdest moments. A TV commercial. A song that I can't singing along to because I will always start crying at the exact same part. Those moments are meaningful, powerful, and should not be suppressed. They should be embraced and ball your eyes out. It's feels SO good. And you always feel better and more in the here and now afterwards. Crying is not weakness. Pretending you're too tough to cry is.
I know this kid likes to portray himself as humble and he is a very humble person. But honestly I wish he would let go of all that just to go let loose of any fear or inefficiency has in front of the microphone or letting people know how much joy he is feeling. He got skunked at the berrics with basic tricks and can't skate switch or nollie. He also bailes ever other trick in competition. Not even close.

I am a BMX guy but when I Saw Andy skate 2 years ago I was blown away and watch everything hes in now. The dude is a master at he craft

I LOVE the complete lack of toxic masculinity in this clip, and it's coming from the most gnarly looking dude in the chat. Jason knows what he's talking about. I LOVE crying... when I can. The worst part is wanting to cry, to let it out, and you just can't. So it ends up coming out in the weirdest moments. A TV commercial. A song that I can't singing along to because I will always start crying at the exact same part. Those moments are meaningful, powerful, and should not be suppressed. They should be embraced and ball your eyes out. It's feels SO good. And you always feel better and more in the here and now afterwards. Crying is not weakness. Pretending you're too tough to cry is.
