Definitely a solid phone. It’s been my daily driver for 7-8 months now and seriously can’t complain. I think you put it best, if you hate this phone it was never intend for you and the great news is you don’t have to buy it lol I also think the people trashing it have never actually used it. They’ll say unoriginal jokes like “I did when I had an iPhone 8!” But the day to day experience is better in 2023 when you use an SE2022 compared to an iPhone 8. There’s also a reason the SE line up outlived the mini line up.
I switched my iphone 13 pro max to this tiny beast phone. Verry blessed to having SE 2022, its so fine, nice grip, nice battery, the chipset really make this device drive soooo fast, and the screen looks more clear, doesnt matter if it just LCD.
I got one because I wanted to go back to basics , the phone is less distracting, it does what it needs to do . I think the display is great for LCD, doesn't even look like an LCD , looks better than some cheaper oleds. I love it's retro look and finger ID
This is so funny that you made this video today. I LITERALLY bought an iPhone 14 Pro yesterday to replace my SE 2022 and 24 hrs into this experiment. I am missing the simplicity of the SE. I miss the size, and Touch ID. It was just a good phone that did the job….. I may be returning the 14 Pro.
I’m currently using an iPhone 13 Mini and Pixel 7. I’m enjoying the different OS and size experience I get with these two devices, and the fact I can swap my SIM easily between them.
I have an iPhone SE 2022 and love it. It keeps me in the Apple ecosystem. I can use Apple Pay and use my Apple Watch etc. I love Touch ID and am not a fan of the notch. I’ve got a basic iPad at home for when in need a bigger screen so just have a small and light phone with me all day and thieves are not interested in them either. The battery has always got me through the day. Ideally I’d like MagSafe and maybe a zoom lens but for the price, I think it’s amazing value.
I have a “base model” iPhone 14 with 128GB and honestly I’m thinking about going back down to the iPhone SE (with 256GB of storage) as well. My battery health on my iPhone 14 has been degrading very quickly 😬I also really miss the iPhone SE size and shape.
I purchased a iPhone SE 2022 last April on your recommendation. I use it along with my Pixel 6 Pro on a daily basis. I activated it with the eSIMM and it's been working well for me. Thanks for the recommendation. I've gotten used to the smaller screen.
I bought my 80 year old mom an SE 3 a week ago and as it Is her first mobile phone (coming from a landline) she is thrilled with it. The light weight and thin design is perfect for her and the price is right. She would hate the size and weight of the 14 or 14 plus. I own a 13 mini and got it just before it disappeared from Apples website recently. So glad I got it. Hoping the next SE is 5.7 or 5.8 inch screen and Face ID….we will see
People have complained so much about the SE. I've had all SE models and I fell in love with the SE 2020 the more I used it. The 2022 version is even better because it has 5g and better battery life. So many complain the design is old and outdated but it's a great value. Either you get this and a better value or you wind up paying much more. Lately I've seen several in the tech community on RUclips switching from the 14 pro and pro max to the iPhone 13 mini. And it's because of all the issues with the the esim and how huge and heavy they are. In my opinion, phones like the iPhone 13 mini and the SE 2022 are better because they work well without feeling like a burden to use.
I've just upgraded from the XS to a 13 Mini. I didn't look at an SE, either time, because of its lower specification. Absolutely loving my 13 Mini. Strange to think that this has the same footprint as my iPhone 7. How times change. Thanks for the content.
im digital detoxing from my phone.. going from my 15 pro max to the SE today.. only keeping my banking and authenticator apps on my phone.. using the internet will have to be more intentional and using my m3 MacBook Pro, rather than checking my phone as a habit.. even email will be on the computer only, not mobile.
Same man, I have the 24 ultra. It has all the latest technology on this bad boy but God damn I am on my phone 24/7 mindlessly scrolling. Just bought the 12 mini today, need to cut back on screen time
I'm mainly an Android user but wanted to use iOS as well. I got a 14 pro max and like it for a few months; but got tired of the esim as well. Just got an SE 2 and am looking forward to having a smaller iPhone with touch id and a sim slot.
Only downside is the aspect ratio of the screen and the battery life. In my humble opinion a used iPhone 13 mini would give you a modem design. E-Sim only sucks, hopefully all the other manufacturers don’t follow along…
Wow you actually did an SE 2022 related video like I mentioned a while back. You're amazing. I actually had the white SE 2020 for little over a week and loved the form factor and other stuff since I'm an apple nostalgic fan and feeling the vibes of a classic iphone being able to do everything in 2023 is just a guilty pleasure for me. The battery was just too bad so I sold it and for my usage maybe it wasn't as good as the android I'm using now but idk. I do regret selling it since I was just so pissed because of the battery being so bad.
I remember how much slack and ridicule I received when I used and spoke highly of the original iPhone SE, from 2016. That thing was a beast and SO comfortable and portable. None of the criticisms fazed me, because they didn’t know what they were talking about 😂. I had the rose gold one and man it was hard to let it go. I buy flagships now and I use both android(Pixel 6 Pro), and an iPhone 13 Pro, which I really like. But I’m slowly transitioning to the pixel line being my main device and the iPhone will be my side device. Once this iPhone 13 Pro becomes outdated and the iPhone SE is still around, I’ll go back to that as my iOS device. Nice topic and video as always Adam. I appreciate the grind 😎💪🏾🎯
Got one for my mother from an ebay bid , cost £70, immaculate condition, decent battery health . I set it up at my home for her, used it fir a few days and must say i really enjoyed using it ! Wouldn't mind one myself 😊. I found it functional, simple , does what it needs to do, its less distracting, the display is fine. Battery lasted me a day
This is the only iPhone I can afford. And I don't like it when someone says he's bad. I'm satisfied with everything in it, and especially its dimensions. Thank you.
I just bought an iPhone SE 2022 as my first Smartphone. Really does the job for me. I like the small size and light weight. I’m impressed with the camera and photos it takes. All in all I made a good choice.
The one HUGE reason I couldnt bring myself to get a iPhone 14 Pro was the E-Sim. In tear downs of the phone the removal of the SIM slot was unjustified and pointless cuz there's just a plastic box there. If I do get the iPhone 15 Pro as a second phone next to the Pixel 8 I'd probably have to get the Canadian variant of the next iPhone Pro cuz they still use physical SIM slots.
I’m going to try it out again. I have a 13 pro but I too like the iconic iPhone design and fingerprint scanner. I’ll use it when I’m out and about. I’m with you on the e-sim. I tried the 14 pro max and was frustrated with being sort of stuck as I like switching platforms.
Dude I am still rocking my SE 3rd generation and this is September 2024. I love it. Had it for a little over a year now and it was my first iPhone ever. I love the throwback design and the simplicity of having a smaller phone. I will do my best to keep rocking it until the SE 4th generation drops. I think people are just intimidated when they see other people not splurging every year to get the newest phones. I mean look at where these smartphone are at technology and camera. They are basically mini laptop power. I just want my basic stuff and a little bit of storage and I am good. I don't need know 1200 phone with 8k video recording to be happy
great video, I support you completely, personally I am an Android user, but I am 100% waiting for SE 4, which is scheduled to debut in 2024 and which I will 100% buy
I just bought iPhone SE 3 for my grandma she has the the iPhone SE 1st generation and she loves the home button and knowing this might be the last iPhone with home button i just bought it. For my grandma is a plenty good and I upgraded her storage from 32gb to 128gb and I think she used like 20gb that's Bcs she is getting pictures of her grandkids. And yes it might be a Touch ID in power button but for her it's a phone that will last another 8 years with her usage
Only thing i felt negative is the battery otherwise it’s great and compact. Easy to carry fit perfectly in pocket. Can type for long time without hands getting tired because of the light weight.
Unless we are going to be able to swap an eSIM ourselves, for example through a QR code, and we have to visit the mobile network carrier to perform a simple SIM swap, the eSIM is a step backwards and it kind of resembles the age of 1G networks.
I am not generally an apple fan (Motorola is my go-to, often unfortunately), but I do have a 13 mini. It is smaller than the 2022 SE but has a bigger screen. It is fast, takes very good pictures and video, and the battery life I get is surprisingly good. Worth considering if you like a small but capable phone and aren’t opposed to Face ID (which works very efficiently btw)
I had this phone, then decided to upgrade to a 14 pro max a year ago simply due to battery life and the AirTag exact tracking feature. Today was the first day I was eligible for an upgrade and went right back to it. My favorite iphone. 9/10.
Wow ha I just paid off my se3 and it’s perfectly sufficient but I want a bigger screen. Hearing of people going back to this phone is making me change my mind. The iPhone 8 chassis in this is bulletproof
I still do use android and iPhone as well. I switched it to the iPhone SE 2022 from the Moto G7 because it’s more compact and it feels faster and it has more storage.
I am about to list my 14 Pro Max and just got a refurbished SE 2 to use for the next year. I look forward to the nostalgia and form factor. I don’t take a ton of pictures and mainly just do light things so I think it’ll be a good experience.
hey brother,I am thinking the same thing,19:6 ration screen is just perfect,no notch, icons are not on the edge and hard to reach, pressing the home button is way more comfortable than scaning face and swiping up!it is light and handy,I am done with the full screen gigantic brick.
I think Apple can allow us to move the icons around but they won’t, and I’m not sure if their user base wants it. I’ve been an iPhone use for 7 years and got a pixel 7 (standard) and I like it. I personally don’t customize my phone much but it’s nice to know I have the option.
I have a 14 Pro Max and it's so heavy that it's literally giving me neck and arm pain from a year of use. I've decided that I'm going to trade it in for an SE. I miss the simplicity and lightweight feel of older phones. Nice to see I'm not the only one making the switch!
The worst are the people that just say, this or that phone's trash, without making any constructive comment. Usually because they mistakingly think they are being loyal to the brand of their choice.
A current android user. Plan switching to a iPhone SE 3rd Gen. Because of size and simple dummy proof phone. Never had iphone and kinda scared. I have a Motorola g stylus 5g23. Thx for this video to help with getting me comfortable to become a iPhone person
The iPhone SE is my favorite iPhone. The size and portability can’t be beat. It works perfect for myself since I have terrible sensitivity to PWM on OLED displays.
Always love your videos. Still have the IPhone 8 and whenever I upgrade, I’m hoping to stay within the same form-factor. It’s a great little phone for my needs.
I have on my desk the iPhone 15 Pro and will be returning it. I’m in the very tiny minority of people who sees the SE as a better and more aesthetic design. Thick bezels and a small form factor really make the iOS icons stick out much better than the 15 Pro’s thin bezels. The icons also look bland/muted in the 15Pro’s bright OLED screen. Worst of all, the OLED screen is giving me eye strain, headaches and dizziness. I just find the 15 Pro unusable and will be really sad when the SE 4 will be made with OLED.
Yeah, that esim thing is a pain. Gave my son the 14pm and picked up the 13 mostly for that reason. Keep the apple eco system within reach when I feel like scratching that itch. Having to call Verizon to switch back and forth between my Sammy's and apples is no fun. Prefer the Sammys anyways.
Same here. My main line is in a SE 2022. My secondary line is in my zfold. My third line is in my LG Wing 2. When my main line dies, I put my sim in either my pixel 7 or zflip4. With the iphone 14 lineup, you cant do that. Its a hassle had I g to call the carrier or chat with a carrier agent
To be honest, I don't think the world is ready for eSIM. There are still a lot of countries that are not jumping over to eSIM. It's a lot easier to swap your SIM card to another phone, should your primary device for example got damaged and is in need of repair. And for every iPhone I test and play with at work, for me the iPhone SE draws to me more -- and it's mainly because the size feels comfortable, given that I have small hands. And by comparison, performance is as equally well compared to the $1000+ iPhones in the market. And, for those that suffer from pulse width modulation, getting the SE is a great option since the phone uses LCD instead of OLED screens. Also it really bothers me that Apple loyalists are making fun of people that use different devices, be it a "low" end iPhone, or an Android. Wake up you bullies. Nobody cares what you think. They have the phone they bought because it meets their lively needs. iOS is not for everybody, while Android is not for everybody. That's like buying a car -- not everyone needs a pick up truck vs a sedan or an electric. My primary driver to this day is a Samsung Galaxy S9+ because I still use the headphone jack, meaning I have more audio options. I still prefer the physical finger print scanner on the back because it's a lot faster than face unlock. I have many options of storage -- internal, micro SD, cloud, and USB OTG (which is simply just plug and play, unlike Apple forcing you to their conformities if you want to use their OTG ways). Also, I like taking advantage of Samsung Dex.
Still one of my favorite iPhones for sure and one I recommend to most. As you said it perfectly, it just works. It’s also great for running beta on and testing the latest software.
I’m literally going to do this… I’m sick of the iPhone 14 Pro… I realise I don’t use the camera for anything apart from sub ordinary photos , zero videos… I’m just meh… SE will give me, email, what’s app… and RUclips (I have premium) and that’s that… I’m done
I like the SE fine, especially the price tag. The only thing i dont like about it is the tiny keyboard. I have large hands and wondered if there was anything i could do to increase the keyboard size at all? Anybody else with larger hands have a suggestion I could try?
Thanks for the content great video as always. As you know I'm team Android but for the last 3 months or so I've had my main sim in my iPhone 14 plus😢 but I cant do it anymore I gave IOS a try but I'm like you I Love using different phones even though I have multiple lines I want to be able to put my main sim card in a different phone if I want to so needless to say my back up number will be going into the iPhone 14 plus And my main number will be going back to me T-Mobile sim. I haven't had any problems with the 14 plus and the battery life is the best but not being able to customize my main phone like I want is driving me crazy but I'll keep the iPhone for family reasons but having it as my daily driver just can't do it.
Your thoughts on used galaxy s phone vs a new iphone se? the cost difference isn't that much! Well, in Canada. We pay so much more for everything. Except prescription meds.
I just finally received my new SE 3rd generation iPhone about 2 months ago and it’s already acting up.😕 I would appreciate you if you could possibly help me out with these few problems/glitches? Ok ? Here goes : 1. Will not allow I me to swipe up or down!❤ 2. The way BUTTON on home screen isn’t working right
VERY TRUE! LOVE THE SE3 BETTER THAN 12 AND 14...THE HARDWARE CPU IS INSANE..4K STREAM VIDEO LIKE YT ETC..BETTER BAT.. IVE JUST UPDATED THE IOS 17.2 RC..
Why I won't get a iPhone 14 or future one because of the ESIM garbage. I'll stick with my 13 for now. I carry two phones and I like to try different phones on both lines.
Sounds like my experience with my Pixel 6 pro. I am so frustrated with the wonky camera. Can't shoot zoom without the camera going crazy doing it's own thing. Really annoying that I upgraded to this from the 3A and having such a lackluster experience for such an expensive phone. Seems like a lot of the new phones are just doing stupid things with the camera.
I run a 3rd gen se and a mini 6 iPad,feel like it’s a good combination and both run the a15 processor which is fantastic,I do believe apple missed a trick though they should have brought out an iPhone SE plus in 2022 with the iPhone 8 Plus body and the a15 processor that would have been fantastic
Hey Adam, im very late to the video. I have a s23 ultra 512gb. Absolute monster of a phone both spec and build quality. However, my entire family is on iphone. From the iphone xs to the iPhone 15 pro max and they all use imessage family group chat and im the odd man out. Im really contemplating getting an se 2022 strictly for family chat and face timing my wife. What do you think?
Sure. I did that for years. If you don’t want something that small maybe even an iPhone 12 would be solid and a fair compromise so you can enjoy a little more screen real estate.
I have a 13 Pro Max and I had the SE 2022 but I sold it. Wish I still had it because I have 2 lines and I would love to have my 2022 SE for my second line
Why people trashed this phone was because of the price honestly..instead of decreasing the price(because of using the same old iphone 8 body), they INCREASED the launch price, which honestly took many people off it, specifically for us people living in developing countries.. It was just not a good value for money iphone.. But if you see this iPhone separately without comparing with other iPhones, its my favourite iPhone honestly lol..
I have the earlier iPhone SE model from 2020 but I feel rn I need an upgrade bcuz my phone got screen issues. The screen isn't cracked but I believe it's got some water damage of some sort.
I love the se 3 . I much prefer a smaller and lighter phone that is easier to hold and to fit into a pocket or bag and i really like touch id for convenience than face id .
Same. I have both the 13 mini and SE 2022, but always find myself using the SE 2022 as my primary.
Definitely a solid phone. It’s been my daily driver for 7-8 months now and seriously can’t complain. Yes, quite surprised with its battery life. The effort of A15 chips ?
I got one because I wanted to go back to basics , the phone is less distracting, it does what it needs to do . I think the display is great for LCD, doesn't even look like an LCD , looks better than some cheaper oleds. I love it's retro look and finger ID
Why did you downgrade if you don’t mind me asking
This is so funny that you made this video today. I LITERALLY bought an iPhone 14 Pro yesterday to replace my SE 2022 and 24 hrs into this experiment. I am missing the simplicity of the SE. I miss the size, and Touch ID. It was just a good phone that did the job….. I may be returning the 14 Pro.
It's a crazy world. Lol
Same. I hate all the software issues. I had a 13 before
I traded SE 2022 for iPhone 15. Have to say the size isn’t all that much bigger but the screen makes all the difference. It’s certainly worth it
I’m currently using an iPhone 13 Mini and Pixel 7. I’m enjoying the different OS and size experience I get with these two devices, and the fact I can swap my SIM easily between them.

Hoping the next se is based off the xs design i feel its perfect rounded edges oled screen 5.8 inch
if it has oled i cant use it , so ips is the way to go@@D3great12
I really wish Apple would bring back the mini iPhone. I hate how huge iPhones have gotten.

The se3 , iPhone 8 and 2020 se are the loudest iPhone . You will have to turn the volume down on speaker phone calls , etc . I love it .
I agree. This iPhone 8 chassis is bulletproof and the volume and camera are very sufficient.

yeah 13mini is better in every ways than SE 2022
Using se 3
..I have a 14 plus but having issues with pwm. Headaches, eye strain an nauseated. I just wish se camera was a bit better.
I still use mine as a daily driver and love it. I use in tandem with my iPad and iPad mini.
I'm considering getting the iPhone SE, it will receive updates for years to come.
Plus it's cute and reminds me of the IPod Touch.
Wow you actually did an SE 2022 related video like I mentioned a while back. You're amazing. Now that I think about it, your old iPhone SE 2022 video was the first videos I watched of yours!

I like my SE. very convenient size and doesn’t get addicting like the bigger ones. And the design has been around for ages and is tried and true.
I like this small design
I am using the SE and I love it, no problems.

Using a small phone was what we used back in 2008…it’s actually bigger than the original 3GS, 4. It’s the 6 design that was a bestseller. And no pwm😊

Wow ha I just paid off my se3 and it’s perfectly sufficient but I want a bigger screen. Hearing of people going back to this phone is making me change my mind. The iPhone 8 chassis in this is bulletproof
I still use the iPhone 8, terrible battery life but I carry a small power bank. No problem.
I Love my se 2022 , i switched from iohone 6s and loving it , no complain on performance and camera at all
hey brother,I am thinking the same thing,19:6 ration screen is just perfect,no notch, icons are not on the edge and hard to reach, pressing the home button is way more comfortable than scaning face and swiping up!it is light and handy,I am done with the full screen gigantic brick.
as someone clumsy who fixes their own phone the cheap parts make a big difference
Just traded my iPhone 12 for a new SE yesterday. Love having the home button back and the smaller size!
Its a great phone.
Oh, and the 15 Pro is so heavy! I love being able to type messages with just one hand on the SE.
Love the iPhone SE 3rd gen 👍
Same over here... I switched from 13 pro Max to this Se 😂
I got the iPhone 13 Mini and I love it enough battery for the entire day it’s brilliant🤓
I just bought one and I love it 😮 traded in my pixel 7 it kept running hot and I got sick and tired of it
The random heat really wears on you. Glad you found something you're happy with
To be honest, I don't think the world is ready for eSIM.
And by comparison,
performance is as equally well compared to the $1000+ iPhones in the market.
I love the se so much, but the small screen did bother me a lot. I wish they had an se plus or something.
I did the exact same thing I ditched my 14 pro max for the iPhone SE
I am a new user of the iphone SE 22. So far I like it mainly because it does not 'suck' me in.
I’m literally going to do this… I’m sick of the iPhone 14 Pro… I realise I don’t use the camera for anything apart from sub ordinary photos , zero videos… I’m just meh…
SE will give me, email, what’s app… and RUclips (I have premium) and that’s that… I’m done
You are not alone buddy I also love my iPhone SE 3! It’s the perfect size!
Hi what do you think about the Samsung s23
Great phone
I like the SE fine, especially the price tag. The only thing i dont like about it is the tiny keyboard. I have large hands and wondered if there was anything i could do to increase the keyboard size at all? Anybody else with larger hands have a suggestion I could try?
My only suggestion is turn the phone sideways when typing
On my SE gen 3
Go to settings, accessibility, display and text size, click bold and also click large text.
This helped me and i have big fingers.
@@jasonjason5184 thanks! That helped a lot!
I almost bought the SE when I bought my 14. I might still get the next SE after I pay this one off.
That is the one phone that I am really interested in getting at the moment.
Your thoughts on used galaxy s phone vs a new iphone se? the cost difference isn't that much! Well, in Canada. We pay so much more for everything. Except prescription meds.
I just finally received my new SE 3rd generation iPhone about 2 months ago and it’s already acting up.😕
I would appreciate you if you could possibly help me out with these few problems/glitches?
Ok ? Here goes :
1. Will not allow I me to swipe up or down!❤
2. The way BUTTON on home screen isn’t working right
Id use it too BUT it does not have 512GB option… so standard ip13 is my choice … still small enough and weights like 170 grams…
Good for you! To each their own!
Bought mine today and loving it.
what is the best way to protect it ... screen and all ?
Sounds like my experience with my Pixel 6 pro. I am so frustrated with the wonky camera. Can't shoot zoom without the camera going crazy doing it's own thing. Really annoying that I upgraded to this from the 3A and having such a lackluster experience for such an expensive phone. Seems like a lot of the new phones are just doing stupid things with the camera.
It’s amazing, compact, stunning and reliable. 💪🏻
I hate the esim
sobs
Finally something we agree on
I run a 3rd gen se and a mini 6 iPad,feel like it’s a good combination and both run the a15 processor which is fantastic,I do believe apple missed a trick though they should have brought out an iPhone SE plus in 2022 with the iPhone 8 Plus body and the a15 processor that would have been fantastic
I have this as my daily driver simply because of an actual SIM card tray. Im not afraid of this breaking I’d rather this break than a 15 pro break
What’s your opinion on battery life?
I love it. Meets all my daily needs 👍 Perfect enough
That's the key word. Daily needs. Just what needed
I still use my 8 plus for You Tube and TV because i like the slightly wider display.
I actually wish I didn’t upgrade for my 11 promax to the 14 promax I only did it because at&t gave me 600 dollars for a trade in. Its horrible.
@TechOdyssey I keep having issues with not being able to view full pages or scroll the full page on my iPhone SE. How can I fix that?
Great video. Hope you have a great night.
1:34 is it easy to transfer an eSIM from iPhone 14 to the iPhone SE ??
Is this the same as iphone SE 3rd generation?
I have the earlier iPhone SE model from 2020 but I feel rn I need an upgrade bcuz my phone got screen issues. The screen isn't cracked but I believe it's got some water damage of some sort.
What about battery life even you haven’t had any problem?
I love the iPhone SE
Me three
I found a genuine Apple battery case for the se2022 and it has almost doubled my battery life
That's great!
I love the se 3 . I much prefer a smaller and lighter phone that is easier to hold and to fit into a pocket or bag and i really like touch id for convenience than face id .
