How do make your drawings so neat😭 one of my biggest problems are that the drawing doesn't turn out very crisp and neat after inking, also any tips to apply colours to large areas fast? I can't afford copics and can't find cheap brush markers in India so i majorly use bullet tips which take too long to colour

This (as well as one piece) actually inspired me to create a shonen manga series. It is space theme with a Nigerian female main protagonist, leading a team of 4 childhood friend who go on a space adventure to save earth from an alien invasion. I'm still developing the whole idea but it would have a super mario galaxy feel.

This was really helpful actually. I've been trying to figure out these sort of dynamics. The challenge I have sometimes though is often time I use a character who's purple so figuring out the colors can be a pain, especially with ambient lights

Wow. This art is amazing. I've been wanting to work on a manga series since seventh grade and up to 10th (my current grade) and I've always had problems with coloring my pictures. You can search my entire drawing books and find absolutely no color in my drawings. I'm actually scared for myself for the future because this is something I really want to do and I'm afraid I won't be able to do it.
then youre just like me. I never know what colors to use or which ones to blend etc. but im not gonna give up. I think you should just try experimenting with colors. if you've got a few characters, just let your hand go free with the colors. or maybe practice with references and try to mimic the colors. I'm not too good at it myself but i hope you'll eventually be able to use color

Then you sound exactly the same as before i started using markers and they clicked with me. Lemme give you some free advice from a fellow artist. Im not sure ill EVER feel like my art is "ready" i think i know how you're feeling cause i still have this.. Basically you just gotta force yourself to do it. I recommend the bext piece you do. Because ofc the sooner you start the sooner and more time you'll have to learn the technique, get the muscle memory down. All thwt stuff you already have with a pencil. The trick to manga tho its my theory is that i believe we all have a second challenge when we first decide to color our work cause unlike some ppl we have to make a choice and more or less stick with it. Traditionally manga is done with art marlers and/or watercolor. I sucked at painting... But i picked up a marker and have never put them down. Sometimes you just gotta persevere until you find what works for you

For how long have you've been drawing and how much time did it take to get now? I'm a new mangaka ✌! Love ur vids!
Just putting this idea out there, what your doing on Saturday am is good. But I think you should do comic dubs of your works make the panels dynamic. And even give it a music score and anime opening to go along with it. That would create a different audience. One that may not read but watch. And those people would still by merchandise. I do comics my self and once I finish my first book I’m planning on doing this. Just wondering if it’s something you guys every thought of. I’m willing to talk more about it. RUclips has a big audience thing ya comic creators should to utilizing it.

QUESTION : Is the lineart printed? And if so, what kind of printer/paper/ink did you use?
Did you ink it by hand, or digital drawing?
Because copics tend to make ink bleed.

I inked it all by hand with micron inking pens, all inking was done directly. Deleter B4 type A comic book paper.

Spectrum Noir Premium Marker pads! or Deleter B4 paper, Some people use bristol or vellum paper. Thanks for the love.
the Crescent Rendr sketchbook is really good for markers, u can actually color on both sides of the paper!

Can anyone give me any tips on how to draw poses bc whenever I draw my poses are stiff and other times I can't even draw poses.

Matthew Alvarez Use “line of action” and the “Contrapposto pose” method. For action poses I recommend learning foreshadowing.

@@schoolforrandom1070 I chose the name because sounded catchy and quick.Also,it is about feudal japan and Japanese mythology,this includes the shinto-kami.
The story is about 4 characters( it's shonen by the way) who are on a journey to take down a power hungry Shogun who is one of the main villains.The Shogunate is called the "Taiyō" clan.
There's a lot more I would tell you,but Im just giving you the basics!
Also the second name for the series is called "Hidden Sun"

Serious question: Why is the diversity the most important aspect of Saturday AM brand? Shouldn't the most important part be intriguing story, storytelling and quality of art? Isn't that like putting the cart before the horse? Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against diverse protagonists, but they ought to be more than their ethnicity, religion, sex or whatever else.
I've never said quality interesting stories weren't also or more important. no point in diversity or not if the concepts and content is trash. Diversity, however, is very important when done right for a host of moral and business reasons. It's important for people to see themselves in their heroes. To fully answer your question, its an essay response I don't have time to get into, but the lack of diversity in anime and manga affected me and my naivety of anime and manga, limiting my imagination of what it could be. I used to ask the question you just asked me that's why this is funny.
