Good morning Ben, I used to do the same thing and plow the roads for the elderly people here now I’m the elderly person and they are plowing the roads for me
Now that’s a good snow, I am so glad that you were able to help people that needed emergency assistance. I bet you can see forever at night with that much snow on the ground, God bless my brother our prayers are with you
Great video young man!! There's not many folks like you and your Dad around anymore Ben. Especially around my neck of the woods up in sw missouri. your Dad raised you like my uncle's raised me if you have the equipment or ability to help anyone in need especially neighbours family and friends do your best for last 15 year's I've been blessed with a tractor with loader and implements to help folks. Thanks for sharing be safe have fun enjoy that new Tractor.
@@mikerequa820 your right. There’s time to charge for work then there’s time to give back. In these weather events it’s hard on people around here with the steep driveways. In my next video you’ll see two extremely long driveways where people were having to walk in out to get to work. Just a few minutes of our time can really make a big difference to them. Thanks for doing your part also! My goal by showing these things is to encourage others to step up and help in their community. I appreciate you watching!
@khtractors yes that's for sure. My uncle always told me what goes around comes around. I love my tractor enjoy gettin out staying busy doin somethin Drove a truck 38 year's just can't stay in the house. Lol
I'm very impressed with your John Deere 5067E and the front blade, does a great job. Good luck with the plowing and the snow clearing, please stay safe. Have a nice evening!
This winter has been like the winters I remember when I was young, back in the 50s and 60s. You're windshield on your tractor has got me thinking of putting one on my tractor. Windshield on my sxs makes a huge difference on cold days. Stay safe out there.
We got hammered here too. Biggest issue we have is there has been just enough warm temps to melt the snow surface and then refreeze into hard slick icy surface.
You have yourself a awesome John Deere there she really pushes the snow. It’s a great machine. I always believed in John Deere that’s for sure. My tractor does the same thing but I love my cab and my heat. It sure is awesome. Great video as usual.👍
I know they were glad to see you coming to clear the road for the cancer patient. Being on the receiving end of help by my neighbor’s during my wife’s ordeal with cancer makes you want to help others in their time of need. The Lord is and will bless you Ben in your endeavors!
It would be hard to just set back and see people struggle or need help when I can do something. We have such a great community here I’ll do anything I can to help out. Thanks for watching!
I do hope your neighbors appreciate you. Your doing a lot of work for everyone around you and they should be appreciative of the fact that you do it. God has blessed you with health to be out in this weather and to work in it. Lots of folks can’t and some won’t. On the idea of cab tractors. I got a Massey Ferguson cab tractor that 74 HP with loader. Basically it’s a nice machine and the reason I purchased it instead of a Deere it just came down to money roughly about fourteen thousand dollars cheaper than a Deere at same hours and HP. Trust me I looked high and low and there were no 5075’s that were even close in price. With that said the MF has had issue for a machine with 410 hours on it when I bought it. I’ve put a clutch in it, starter, a/c worked on twice and PTO seal replaced. I’ve got about eleven hundred hours on it as of now and I’m disappointed in the money I’ve had to put into this machine and it’s a 2010 tractor. You are very correct in your thinking about the Horsepower draw down on a cab tractor. If anyone is considering purchasing a smaller size tractor (100 hp or less) you might really want to think about buying a tractor with at least 15 to 20 more hp than you requiring. Thank you Ben your videos are very good content.
Very good information! I’m sorry you had so much trouble but these comments help everyone. We need the good and the bad on equipment. I guess together in two days we plowed 30+ driveways. Thanks for watching
hey man its good to know that people lik ue still exsit i do the same thing at home iam 25 miles south of Buffaio N,Y boy we get mad SNOW i call it WHITE GOLD thx keep doing goood GOD BLESS
That depends on my financial status then. Even if I could have afforded it not sure I would have spent $24000 extra just for a cab. Thanks for watching
I sure wish i had a blade for the loader like you got. i use the bucket with skids, and the rear blade. But man that blade on the loader sure seems to work great!! But we dont get as much snow here as yall do.
All I know is you got a killer deal on that Deere. I got James river in martinsville va to quote me a 5060e with the standard 9x3 transmission and it was almost $54000! That’s when I made my decision to go with the Kubota and it was still almost $50000
I felt like it was a good deal. I couldn’t hardly pass on it from the pricing I was seeing other places. Plus to get 0% financing with the discounts doesn’t usually happen. Thanks for watching
I'm hearing were supposed to get more around J23-J28 at some point, some people are saying it might be like the blizzard of 2016 (From Richmond Area, Virginia)
That's crazy a cab upgrade would cost that much. I made a comment about how nice it is to have a cab in the snow. I would never pay you said. It's almost as much as my used tractor and 3 attachments cost.
@@AnomadAlaska I got a good discount on my tractor being a left over which made the gap a lot bigger. But still that’s more money than I could comfortably ever afford. Thank you!
hey man, could you do like a quick video or just giving your opinion on this- young people getting into the hay business and what not. I’m 24, i bought 80 acres of land about seven months ago I’ve got 20 acres of field. (i mainly do land clearing, got my own business going) but I’m wanting to no-till in Bermuda, spray fertilize it the whole bit. I’m not 100%. But any tips or anything for starting out would be greatly appreciated. and I’ve got tractors/ cab tractors and all that only thing I’ve gotta buy is a square baler and a building to store the hay, cause my understanding it gets completely ruined if it gets wet? i do have some hay cutting experience from working on farms couple years ago but never square bails.
I’ll try to do something like that but hay is so different depending on the region you’re from. What we do in my area varies greatly from most places. Thanks for watching
I’d love to be able to plow my neighbors out, but my wife won’t let me own a tractor yet lol I’m sure that windshield does help some. We need to get a hydraulic plow, man that’s much more useful. We only have a pin bent blade.
@ I keep saying that! Lol we’re expecting our second this summer, so that’s the priority at the moment. We’ll have to see what that bill looks like. Hope all is well, and stay safe!
I almost never use float for anything, I just go by feel. In places with ice sometimes I’ll use more down pressure to try and peel it up. Thanks for watching
Ben, how far you feel comfortable driving tractor on road? Reason I ask is sometimes I could use my M5660 at my neighbors and they are 3-4 miles on mostly paved roads and curious what your experience on that. Thanks. I’ll listen to others as well 😉
As long as you can stand it and don’t mind tire wear. It’s 5 miles from home to my school and I’ve ran that several times. On a tractor that will run 17mph or over it’s not bad. Thanks for watching

One drawback about a cab tractor is not being able to hear your engine and things like hay balers operating. I like to make sure everything is clicking correctly and running smoothly. The ear can tell you a lot about your equipment.
