I asked the Volvo sales guy, why the seats, steering, no soft close, no electric sunblind are missing, he said volvo prefers to keep it mechanical due to safety reasons because if your car faces a flat battery all these things such as electric steering, soft close, electric seats etc would stop working. Plus recently in my car I had faced a battery issue (6GT) and due to a flat battery all of these features stopped working and it was fully loaded with luggage thus we couldn’t even remove or do anything just stuck until a jump start is done. So a compromise for the price but saves you and your time when stuck.
That's just an excuse. They can provide a small auxiliary battery for emergencies if they really want, and the front seats are still electrically adjustable anyways, so what about that huh?

But for safety and technology this car is great, however I would instead go for XC60, since the last row also has lack of there's manual adjustment of seats and steering wheel. There's no customisable ambient lighting nor paddle shifters. But good thing about the engine

The new Q7 is superior than this.The base variant of the q7 is 10 lakhs cheaper and has better ride quality,performance and interiors.A 2 litre engine for a car this huge at this price point.Yes it is turbocharged,supercharged and has a mild hybrid system but it still lacks the punch its competitors pack.
