Preflips were invented by golds constantly flipping around the field, out of boost, until one day they flipped into the ball and scored the first preflip goal ever. Mostly likely an own goal, but a goal none the less.

I just recently started getting more consistent with flip resets and I have definitely noticed improvement in my overall gameplay. Oddly enough, I can hit flip resets fairly well in freeplay, but trying to freestyle while in game just makes it 10x more difficult. I've noticed it comes a lot easier when I don't think about doing it, I just go for it when there is an opening for it. Muscle memory kicks in I suppose.
Idk why, but when you said the thing about "skipping" the middle part and go straight for the insane shit, it touched my soul. Idk why but that's how i've always been thinking and this was the first time i've heard someone else say this! I was always complete garbage at air-control, even hitting the ball mid-air was super hard sometimes. I always thought it looked so cool when people were freestyling and doing all these spins while still keeping control of the ball etc. I just went straight to that, just randomly started swirling around mid-air, hoping i would hit the ball. Later on, when i stopped doing that, i hit every single ball in the air, had much much better air-control in general without even practicing that specifically. It just came naturally. Idk why that text got so long, i just wanted to say thank you, that made my day a bit brighter hearing you say just that!
