@@shivvers. this is exactly what they are doing. Epic is a very smart company and they know that if they are taking things away they also have to add items we have been asking for. This shifts the focus onto the new 25 dollar crap that they have every week in the shop

Denying your teammate's ff request, then sending your own after you tie the game is one of the sweetest things in RL. But the ACTUAL ff before it times out....baller.

I’d like to add my own section here:
*11. Casual*
Casual modes in Rocket League are like Ranked, but harder. It doesn’t matter which mode you play because you’ll always run into clan teams who are way above your skill level (we’re talking Champ vs. Gold here) and constantly playing like their lives depend on it. Best case scenario, your teammates are one rank below the opponents. Otherwise, they’ll either be at a similar skill level to you or worse. They’ll chase the ball, they’ll miss open nets, they’ll miss easy saves, they’ll own goal, they’ll play for the other team, they’ll go AFK, they’ll vote to concede at 0-0, and they’ll refuse to concede when you’re several points down with absolutely no chance of winning. You can’t simply leave a match, anymore, so unless you’re prepared to wait out a matchmaking ban, you’re stuck in these conditions for the next 5 minutes. If you happen to get a good, close match, it won’t last long, because the other team will concede the second you gain a point over them. The psychological warfare is on another level. Spamming *What A Save!* after every goal, whiff, etc. is not enough here. Equip the Conversion Gel boost and show your immaturity by blasting it at the camera when you beat the other team, throw on an annoying player anthem like any Cochise song to assault their eardrums, and never skip the replays, because you’ll always want the other team to watch their embarrassing mistake over again, even if it’s a boring goal not worth rewatching or clipping. The current state of Casual, the state of the game as a whole, and the recent announcements like the removal of trading only affirm that Rocket League is not a game you play to enjoy. If you’re not willing to sweat your ass off, eyes glued to the screen, raging every game, you’re better off not playing.

you had me until "players refusing to forfeit". if you wanna ff that's on you, but expecting your teammates to forfeit is ridiculous. first of all, players have to actually, you know, play the game to improve. so what exactly is the benefit to forfeiting, especially in a casual game? why would anyone be so caught up in wins/losses in unranked that they would get upset about that? isn't the whole point to get better? even in ranked it's dumb to have that mindset unless you're like top 10 in the game. in unranked it's just mind-blowingly stupid. stuck in "these conditions" as if it's some hellhole to be in a match where you aren't going to win. use that time to improve your game, which is likely why you aren't playing ranked in the first place.
the rest of what you said is true though, rocket league is no longer a game that can be played for some relaxed entertainment, even at lower ranks. it sucks but that is what you get when your entire game is catered to middle school kids. though i have no idea how you can both complain about this issue, and then say it's a "problem" that your teammate isn't forfeiting unwinnable games. you're contributing to the exact mindset that you are claiming to lament.

b) you are playing a team game. what you want is irrelevant. what your team as a whole wants *is* relevant. if your teammate does not want to forfeit a match, you play the game to its conclusion. you seem young so i'll give you a break, but by all means go ask anyone who has ever played a sport before how they would react if one of their teammates started pouting because the rest of his team didn't forfeit the match once a win was out of reach.

@@davesterr2762 even worse, managed to peak champ 1 last season, got to the end of the season was diamond 3... the players already rocking to their deaths as I tried to climb back already to c1, my friend got diamond 3 div 4, he hit plat 3, I think I've hit lowest dia 1.. but somehow the players got either worse or the smurfs went high or it's not smurfs and the ranking is effed.

I’ve found that rank 2 is the place to be. Doesn’t matter what rank. 3s are mad that they’re not 1s, and 1s are mad because they’re about to drop to 3 - again. 2s have already had their hopes and ambition sapped from their souls making them the perfect teammates and opponents.

i've recently come back to the game recently after a 9 month break, and it's so heartbreaking to see the state that the community is in.
They’ve spent the last year and a half having epic slide their dicks in their mouths and then thanking them for doing it. Of course the community is toxic. Lol all jokes but kinda true. In reality the issue is that this game going free to play welcomed this toxic behavior way too easily. I said the day they announced free to play that it was the beginning of the end.

this is quite literally the most relatable videos i have seen in the past year. when i was diamond 3 in 1v1, every opponent i got was a gc in 2s; im a c1 in 2s. speaking of c1 2s, it blows my mind how much the skill levels in champ fluctuate

@aaronpacheco3726 cool man. Me and my buddies developed a good community of traders and had fun doing it. Trading had become more fun than playing with smurfs and quitters. Game got so toxic I would rather do trading than habe exactly what this video describes every single game

I relate to the ranked experience so hard. I am low Dia in 2s and constantly get champs in my games and even had to play a gainst a gc tournament winner recently. Needless to say I was absolutely destroyed. Couldnt even touch the ball most of the time because he was just always there basically 1v2 my friend and me...

Many people dont realize that they are the difference maker in their particular lobby. Ive played such amazing RL with wholesome people and it was genuinely fun even if we were losing. Just attitude, all it takes. This video is a great example of what to not do to other players...because if you do any of these things even as retaliation you teach other players to do that aswell.
If people get toxic over someone simply scoring, idk how my attitude is supposed to fix that

Always enjoy the videos, will say someday you need to do a different ending and catch us off guard. Every video ive watched for years ( and admittedly not all of them so there is that) has had the exact same ending, a sudden "gotcha" and end screen. If this video ended with anything else I would have been shocked, but I'm sitting here with the roommate and told him how it would end and way exactly right minus the time of the OT goal to lose, thought it would be a kickoff where teammate went outside post lol. Just a thought, an occasional curveball to keep em guessing. Enjoy the video, thanks for still putting out content and being a top class 'tuber.
Also, unrelated, but smurfs are a huge deal as we all predicted with F2P and I haven't played a comp game since then, and because of this my opponent ranks are CRAZY good, I think I peaked at like champ2 where i barely got that but I play against ssl titles and gc titles constantly, I have adapted and gotten better but casual ranking is nonsense I think. Only rank i play is hoops here and there and occasionally snowday for the lolz.
Rant over, I like the content and thank you for doing great editing and commentary, you are the class of the RL content scene and it isn't close in quality IMHO.

Yes, good point. All these clips were gathered over the last 10 months, so it is very concentrated into a 15 min video. These moments are rare unless you play a lot of over a long period of time.
