The great Mickey Thomas! Also sang lead on "Fooled Around and Fell in Love"
Mickey had ridiculous range Lord I miss these 70’s and 80’s top vocalists! The best ever
Jane is From 1979
But that note he hits when he sings the line, Jane you’re playing a game, you’re playing game, you’re playing a G-A-M-E 🎶🎤!! ❤ Awesome choice to react to❤
Summer 1979, Lincoln, NE. Mickey Thomas leading the way along with our beloved Grace Slick. Loved every note of the show.
You may have actually heard this band before. They were originally called Jefferson airplane, then Jefferson starship and then starship. She's an amazing vocalist too. I want to say her name is Grace. Iconic band here. Go deeper for sure.
Correct!!! Grace Slick.
@@quincee3376 that's it. Thanks, buddy. She was such a vocal powerhouse!
Top 10 singer, saw them for $14 in 1981
Mickey Thomas is one of the greatest singers ever. Still performing was in Wilkes Barre Pa last evening 8-16-24 sounded great. Was with Elvin Bishop band did Fooled around and Fell in love, Both are 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Im listening to music for more than 60 yrs and to me he's in Steve Perrys league.
As I am 57yo, I really encountered JS right around "Jane" and then really got into them for songs like "Find Your Way Back", "Winds Of Change" and "Layin' It On The Line". This was their more straight-ahead rock/pop era. Then can the schmaltzy "Starship" era that we don't really talk about too much.
I like earlier JS, like "Miracles" and such, as well.
Mickey Thomas was the MOST *underrated* singing voice in classic rock. Bar none.
This song is incendiary ! 🔥 e 🔥
Ahh man ... not the studio version.
But it is always a pleasure to hear Mickey Thomas live .
,,🔥🔥🔥🔥 Mickey Thomas is the bomb one of the greatest singer ever. Actually I saw him at a concert in Wilkes Barre Pa he still sounds amazing. Kudos to all involved making this song sound stupendous.🎉🎉🎉🎉
Craig Chaquico on guitar underrated.
Check out his work "Craig Chaquico & Russ Freeman from the Redwoods to the Rockies. " ruclips.net/p/PLROfl11pzF6qUtPZuOcJawDmYWgA7PTVQ
Always been my most favorite JS song
Stranger is another rocking tune from same album
ONE THE GREAT UNDERRATED ROCK SINGERS OF ALL TIME,(THOMAS) MADE MY LIST WITH PLANT, ROGERS, MERCURY, GRAMM, DEYOUNG, DIO, EMMITT AND STEVE FRICKIN PERRY 🙏🎤🎼🤘
Love this song
ONE OF THE TOP SONS FROM 1979
Definitely a banger! Love it! ✌️❤️🤘
this always trips me out, how Jefferson Airplane morphed intoJefferson Starship and then just Starship, their musical style was so different between the Psychedelic sixties and The freewheeling eighties with this song and nothings gonna stop us now, being so different from their early hits hard to believe that song was sung by the same person who sang white rabbit and don’t you want somebody to love. Grace Slick.
Had a girl that wanted to be with me.Her bff did too.Hdr bff Jane.I cringed when this was played. Many years ago.Memories that you two bring onto me.Thank you!
This story brought to us by Thomas’s books and crannies hahaha
The studio version is honestly 5x better. He is sharp here.
I agree...the studio version is actually what I requested but this was still good
All these years I thought they were saying Chain Chain Chain.
Was listening along and all the music sounded like it was in some sort of well, about 1/2 full of sloshing water. And I was thinking, "Man! Surely you could have found a better recording! This sounds so mushy, especially the vocals! Almost sounds like..."
And then I checked my headset dongle and, yep, "surround 7.1" was accidentally enabled, which makes non 7.1 compliant music sound like a mushy, echo-y mess.
Cool. I always dug this.
Dino Jelusick, Mike Portnoy and Joel Hoekstra do an excellent cover of this.
JANE WAS RELEASD IN 1979
Elvin bishop singer
This song makes me think of some of foreigner’s songs.
Oh Mickey, you so fine! Damn, how I love his voice.
Great song, also check out familiar stranger.
Please listen to Toto, Michael McDonald, Mike & The Mechanics, Alan Parsons Project, Little River Band. So many instruments and vocals during the 70’s-80’s when people knew how to write real music and play several instruments. The so called music since the 90’s is crap
GREAT WHITE.... "call it rock and roll"...
