If someone asked YOU to detail a car in this condition, how much would you charge?!
Dont forget to like the video and subscribe if you enjoy!
Probably start around $1200 for the work and chemicals... it takes hours to clean cars in half as bad of condition.
20 grand or let it sink to the bottom kekW.
Easy be a 2100 dollar job if not 2500
Was thinking $1000 plus shop supplies
at least one semester at a very very good university...
I know I'm a bit silly, but I always get sad and sentimental when I see beautiful cars like this turn into scraps and parts.
Same it's in perfect condition though 😭😭
You're not alone...
This is definitely depressing lol
me too and that car is a legend in BMW ☝😤 I bet the Germans now angry when they saw this sh*t happened
Glad to know I’m not alone. This is sad that a beauty like this turns into scrap.
You guys are simply awsome. Huge respect for you and all the effort that you've put into this video and all from the channel !
😄
Thanks man!
@@WDDetailing Fake video
it is your red car
Big Z3m fan , love the video. Those wheels are referred to as the M roadstars. very desirable
They are actually called ”BMW Style 40”.
Ficou bem limpo e brilhante. Mas será que vai funcionar toda a parte elétrica depois de tanta água??
Parabéns pelo trabalho!
I dont think so……
I was a little concerned at the start, watching that poor thing firstly getting dunked again, than having a Kei car try & drag it out of the swamp - but fully understand there's no hope for that chassis, &it'll go towards keeping others going. Shows just how clean it's possible to get a car in that condition.
Ive always liked these cars
Good job...👍
Such a neat video. Sad it had to happen to such a rare and special car
Looks like a super clean paperweight. Time for a trade-in.
That's amazing
Here from the reel!
Cuando lavo mi auto me demoro 2 dias asi como lo hacen Uds,les felicito por su trabajo...
Painfully seeing such Rare M car flooded
Araba nasıl yıkanmaz görmüş olduk.
They just some star wheels
Does it start? Shame it’s getting scrapped good looking car
Does the M stand for Mud Edition? Just kidding. Great job!
This is great 😂
I wonder how much mud was stuck on the underside from its time in the pond.
Sad, as this M model was never sold in South Africa
Increíble ver un auto así tan mal cuidado como puede haber personas que no valoran lo que tienen me pone triste verlos así. Aquí en argentina jamás tendria un auto de esos pero si lo tuviese de seguro lo limpiarla como ustedes jaja
at least $1000 to clean that😂😂
It’s on fb market place “never seen rain”
That car is still totally rebuildable , disclose the car had flood damage , fix it and move it on , oh , this is Africa , in america you can insure your french fries and then sue because they got cold and soggy . It looked like a nice good car
That would be a 1200 dollar job , idk prices but that would be my guess
how much water do you guys use to clean this dump ?
This gotta be a couple grand job at least
6 k for a clean it looks like it’s been through war
Collab with @Mat Armstrong Make it cooler than it already is.
He’s actually my favorite youtuber currently. Love his lambo series
@@WDDetailing Is there a collab coming cause you both are my fav ?
Unbelievable from a frozen lake
That could be rebuilt, all new second had electrics and engine,it wouldn't break the bank
I have 99 omela Red black Napa leather only 725 examples made mine is mine condition 60 miles
Great work guys.
A pity that it will be parted out. It looks particularly sweet in red.
Anyone here from i.g?
Its a shame to see such a good car become parts.
Yeah, it is :/
James may uk top gear said the gearbox was many are found few are chosen basically saying gearbox is horrible but i love the design
Yeah you aren't wrong
@@Tim_3100 that was the auto box nog the manual
Well ig I don't hv to watch it now
You guys get into the most outlandish predicaments 😂 If somebody asked me to quote a price, I'd tell them more than all the scrap is worth and give them some slightly lower hourly rate or something, considering I wouldn't have to be AS careful as usual. Fun video Brent and RJ.
I don't know why that little truck trying to tow the M Roadster out made me laugh so hard. Also, power washing that interior was so satisfying
It was so funny to watch
@@WDDetailing not to be a kill joy but yanking a vehicle like that using a chain and not a recovery strap is some scary stuff. Have you ever seen a recovery point on a body tear off and the hook and chain come through the back cab window and kill the driver? Ask me how I know.
TBH with you I'll probably just charge them $500 just for the fact that they're not going to sell it they're giving it away for parts seems fair to me
I think I'm actually mad enough to get a car in that state and get it back on the road myself.
Unfortunately, in the American car culture, insurance is a burden liability and registration a pain. It is easier to scrap a car such as this than to have it rebuilt. I bet there are some cars out there being driven after being hanged to dry. The easiest is to ship it west to the desert lands, that car would be dried up like a peanut in time. Water marks? Where?
@@cafelisto01 While it probably is quite a lot easier to scrap a car as this rather than having it rebuild, it definitely isn't as fun :D
@@cafelisto01 What state you live in!!?? I've been buying cars from insurance auctions for too many years. I come across several with salvage titles and never have any issues. It's easy to get inspection after rebuild then get a new regular title. Nothing difficult about it.
@@charlesrobinson6574 pa sucks for cars bro
If the BMW was in Uganda, you wouldn't be surprised to see it on the road again. Genius daring people down here. We wouldn't love to see a lovely piece like that going to scrap. Just saying. I guess every country is blessed differently. Great job on the detail though! Good job guys!
Seeing it getting pressure washed on the inside hurts to watch even if the car is totally done for.
$2000 AUD so $1000 USD pretty much, I'd not be going near it for under $800 (AUD).,
Well I've never seen this type of video before! I'm wondering how many man hrs. this took to complete. Since there were two of you doing the work, I would guess an estimated cost would be $2000.00 plus materials. Nice job what ever the cost!
it was 6 grand
I wouldn't charge anything because i would give it one look and be like hell no.
thank you for saving this beautiful roadster. I love this BMW. I´m also the owner of 2 Roadster and 1 Z3 Coupe. Greetings from Germany Klaus, all the best
I'd estimate probably $1800+ to detail that. The resources and time involved would take DAYS!
As far as cost, maybe $2500 to $3000? That could be way off…
Fun video, thanks!
Sorry, but J&J Auto Wrecking are a bunch of a$$holes for doing this. I hope they disclose when they sell the parts that they were submerged twice, once by them, so their unfortunate customers know going in that they are even more likely to have issues with the parts down the road.
WD did a nice job on it, however.
I love your videos but why didn't you break some ice around the beamer? So dumb idea to tow it like that :/
☹️ wow! It is so sad to see that car like that. I’m a BMW enthusiast and I just, it really hurts me to see that. That car is very rare and they are fantastic. But if the only thing they can do is part it out, I do understand, but I wish they could just take the engine and rebuild it along with the transmission and everything else and make the car roadworthy again. It might be salvage title, but it would hold its title because of the type of car it is.
I am 400 hours deep into restoring my flood damaged Porsche 968, I would say at least 300 of thoses houres is cleaning and I will most likely get to 500 hours before she is done. So I guess A car like the M-Roadster would also be in the region of 400-500 hours, Assuming an hourly rate of $30 that leads to a quote of $15000. This is why these car are written off, there is no economical sense in fixing them.
Now that you spent all that time detailing it, does it even run?
I wouldn’t clean that car at all. I would call the cops to get them trespassed and I’ll file a restraining order and block their number and social media. Their family will be blocked aswell
Love the music you guys play too, can you add tracklists in the description?
Me, too 🎵 😎
It is sad to see such a beautiful car destroyed, and everyone in the video is having so much fun and laughing. I can't watch this video anymore ...
accoriding to babvvo and tebbvo soon all gas cars will be banned from public streets!!!!
This is what happens when you don’t use your parking brake/emergency brake. Parking pawl breaks and rolls downhill. Parking pawls aren’t strong people! Use your E brake! That’s what it’s for!
I’m aware that isn’t what happened to this particular vehicle, but it’s one of the many ways a vehicle can end up in a lake! 😂
Awesome work but does the electronics works after this type of cleaning with all this water put on it ?
The wheels are BMW OEM. They are identified as Style 40 used for Z3 M models.
7,5 x 17 ET 41 with 225/45 tires for the front
9,0 x 17 ET 8 with 245/40 tires for the rear
The wheels are also known as RoadStars.
なんで日本の軽トラで引っ張るのかが意味不明。最初からハマーで引っ張れば1発だったろうに。
I'd make it run again, forget parting it out. Perfect drift platform.
I have detailed vehicles like this in the past. The last flood car I did was a Mercedes C class. Final bill was just shy of $2300.
The leather needed to be taken off the seats and the cushion cleaned from mold then reapolsted
this video is really dumb. they deliberately pushed it in the lake when you came to detail it? I hate these videos, but helping you with a comment because I like the channel. I liked the channel, but the more of these videos that come out, the less I do.
As a detailer, if someone vandalized their own car and asked me to detail it, there is no amount of money that would convince me to do it. nuf said.
It's all in good fun. We enjoy what we do, and we do it for free. :)
I always wanted to buy German cars but looking at it like this i feel so bad that some people whose dream cars are these brands and some people got too much money have no value...
I'd quote £1000 and pay someone £500 to clean it.
There is no way this car could be pulled out of the pond with a car with a 660 cc (40 cubic inch) or smaller engine, known as a kei tora (light truck) in Japan.
Nice try anyway!
That looks awesome. What a shame it got damaged.
It deserves millions of likes! Such an awesome job!!
doesn't the high-pressure wash damage the electronics in the interior?
nooooooooo this car has survived the huricane DONT KILL IT 😰😰
Future classic...James Bond car and they treat it like shit...what a shame.
How do the trunk welds look (known problem especially on Z3 M Roadsters) after jerking this one out of the pond?
ʟᴇᴛ'ꜱ ᴛᴀʟᴋ (ᴠᴇʀʏ ɪᴍᴘᴏʀᴛᴀɴᴛ)👆🎁🎁
That won't make a difference. The welds fail from the diff yanking on the chassis under torque. This didn't put any meaningful torque on the diff, and therefore almost no force on the crossmember.
You can pressure wash the inside of a jeep. I do it all the time. 😀
Reason #12,952 why Jeeps are the best things on the road. And off.
How come the engine will work again without changing many parts of it? Why didn’t you add that part in the video? Awesome job by the way 👏👏
Amazing job! I really enjoy watching your car detailing videos. I would charge $2500-$3000 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Speak realistically and do not underestimate the minds of others. Yes, I know very well that there are people who pay this amount, but the value is unrealistic, and I can sue the court for doing it because it exceeded the limit that is not allowed to sue me, and the cleaning limit of $90 is $150 only. I laugh so hard 😂
Wait, wait, can I clean the house and pay you five thousand dollars? I'm doing great. What do you think it is a small amount and you are very rich ladies How interesting
i would ask for $20 is that good?
Dude I detailed a 15 seat Chevy fan with clogs all the way to the tires in rear, and completely covered in red mud on interior and didn’t even ask 200 :/ L
Poor girl. Not many M Roadsters around these days. Plenty of plain old Z3s though.
Молодцы ребята! Очень интересно) привет из далёкой Украины!
If I was a detailed I would ask for at least a full tank of fuel in my vehicle and at most a brand new pressure washer
Being from buffalo it’s a shame to see a rust free car like this get chopped up even though I know why it’s sad.
Question is, how much quote did you give them?
It seems such a shame to clean and then destroy this iconic car, surely its salvagable, my old beamer is near and dear to me because of its high quality, best carpet, best functions, so reliable and still looks great, couldn't get a better M series, it seems sacrilege to not fix it especially after the work you've done, the seats hug you, made of leather and so comfy, that is a super quality car, no question it would be a labour of love but you'd be getting something that is unique, why didn't you guys take it on?
It was from hurricane Ian. The motor is most likely rusted inside, siezed and the entire wiring harness is done. Not to mention the frame, suspension and so on which most likely also will rust due to the hurricane. It's too much work and money for it to be fixed.
I’d hate to see the pins in those connectors and stuff
I bet it was fun to pressure wash an interior 😃
This is sad that the car is not going to sell together and only the good parts 😢
What do you use to clean windows?
Thanks Guys! Head on over to our channel and subscribe if you guys want to see this car after we take it all apart.
Yes, what they said!
Very nice job!! How long did the cleaning take? Did you use any kind of heat blower to dry out critical components? Is the car running well?
@wd_detailing645 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Someone should try and put it back on the road.
It’s always fun when the J&J guys are involved 😂
Well thats a 100% lost for the car enthusiasts……😢
They would have to pay me. $10,000 dollars to clean a car in this bad of condition i would use my water and electricity and lots of detail products to get this car back to looking brand new again that's why it would be a very high price okay
The wheels are standard M roadster/coupe wheels. I can't remember the BMW style number, but they're also known as roadstars.
Oh, and the interior powerwash made me cringe big time. I know the car's been submerged already, but I just couldn't help feeling sorry for it when you did that.
Que carro bacana, não merecia estar naquele rio de esgoto, a limpeza ficou impecável, parabéns, gostaria de saber quanto fica uma faxina dessas 😀
How would you have cleaned the Interior, if the car was not meant to be parted or scraped?
Anyone else wondering if it starts or just looks pretty 💀
I know this is an older video but, do your buds still have the car? Mine was hit in the rear. I bought it back from the insurance company. Everything from the doors up is good so that would be a perfect swap to get mine on the road again. My Fiat is on its last legs but rebuilding the wrecked BMW isn’t an option. I’m looking for one to switch everything over to. I didn’t consider looking for something like that!
Different situation here in South Africa....we don't have such strict laws concerning scrap cars. A car like that would have been stripped....motor redone and electrics replaced. Lucky us hey!😉
I’d say to clean it would be atleast $750 with it being a car being driven on the road it’ll be a really big scrub job which wouldn’t be a problem just a lot of time so somewhere starting at $750 to $1000 anyone lmk is this a good range of pricing? im tryna eventually start a business and I want the art of good pricing
Hello guys ! Just tuned into the show here
Now from the beginning of the video
What sounded to me that this vihecle
was going to be scraped , guys ! I don't get it .
Beautiful BMW guys Jesus scraped
Just shaking my head.
It's already a sweet Roadster would be a great candidate for a V8 Chevy LS 5spd or 6 or even a V8 Hellcat along with all new wiring harness damn she would be nasty even more than she already is
