I would like to see the new shop in 'before' mode, then a full tour of the finished project. Given the choice of engines: I would look into restoring the original one or at least finding one just like it.
My dad passed last year. Left me his '74 Corvette. The original engine had bad compression, so he did a similar year 350 4 bolt main block, 383 stroker setup, slightly higher compression pistons, a Edelbrock Performer Cam and Intake, then factory carb adjusted for displacement and cam change. Maybe only makes like 50+ more hp/tq but still fun. Just needs better rear mono lead setup.
Grats on the new shop! Been great watching you guys grow over the years! I bet having your own place to work out of feels amazing! Keep up the great work!
fridays are complete when WD videos are loaded.... just a quick question: there are probably hundreds of detailing videos (on YT), but you guys are the top three for me, one thing ive notice ( and yes you guys are guilty of it too...lol), during the detailing process you mention how long the job took....be it 8hrs or 16 hrs, think the shortest being 4hrs, at what point do reach in the process where you say "i should take a break"?
I'm NOT a professional, but I detail my own car and I take about 5/6 hours! I do the interior, then I take a brake and then return for the "exterior job"
I know I'd love to see a full tour! I thought that was an interesting location for a detail shop in a parking garage. Did you have any difficulties logistically by doing that? And I'm interested to know if you got to customize the new shop at all. Really great to see your channel growing and absolutely loving the style and flair you put on your work and the videos!
By the way an awesome video and as a Corvette owner I can tell you that C3 Corvettes carpets have a tendency to degrade over time to the point where it has to be changed that's why a lot of aftermarket companies sell replacement carpets!
Yes to the shop tour. As for the engine, if it is less expensive to just drop in a new/rebuilt engine that fits rather than do a rebuild on the existing one that is the route that should be taken. As for a replacement, not smart enough about the subject to offer any suggestion. LOL Back in the day, had an friend who had a stingray and offered me a ride. You could tell he was proud of it, but it road like a dang lumber wagon over a rough road. I kept my mouth shut about it and complimented him on the car. Made me vow not to be so wowed by a two seat lumber wagon, This one is a bute considering the unusual color that shines like new dime. Great work and amazed at how well the paint job looked after you were done with it. Bravo....more, more!
If the engine miles arent bad, I am 90% sure I could get it to turn over. Often a car just sitting can cause it to seize up. The rings get stuck due to moisture. I've seen cars sitting for 30 years turn over after soaking down the cylinders for a day.
want another old corvette? My grandpa has a c2 that's been sitting in his garage for probably 25 years and it's never going to drive again without a full rebuild but it would be fun to detail. We'd have to uncover it from all the boxes and carpets and other garage junk though 🤣
I think I've seen this video 3 or 4 times now (I watch many, so forget sometimes), but it is still good every time. No wonder part 1 (and the hoarder car) were your homerun video views; just good content. Question: do you wash the backs of the car mats? You never show it. I don't in my cars, but I imagine a grossmobile like the barn finds would warrant it (with rat pee and all that). I did like how you hung the mats so they drain as washed, but then saw the video with the old mat that ripped. I see you don't make the same mistake twice on these carpets; that's just you stepping up your game. Kudos. C3 is my fav vette. the shop has got to be done by now, eh? you should franchise.
Do people not know that putting moth balls in your car, trunk and under the hood helps keep the critters (aka mice) out? You should mention this sometime. I Love polishing my car and watching y'all!
I think a shop tour would be in order. :) As for the engine, it would probably break loose if you pulled the plugs and soaked the cylinders in a mix of Marvel Mystery Oil and WD-40 for a couple of day. The purists out there will hate this next comment, but I'd convert it to an Electric if it did need to have the engine swapped out.
I was wondering if it wouldn't be more beneficial for the car to get ceramic coated, so that if it does go into storage again, it won't have to be paint corrected once more, from a preservation stand point live the videos and congrats n the new studio!!
Engine could probably be saved, but if I was to replace it I'd go with a 383 sbc with an aftermarket holley fuel injection setup for daily drive ability
Three numbers, 455. But, try to unstick the engine via pouring diesel, marvel mystery oil, or atf into the cylinders for about a month and try (during that month) multiple times to turn it over by hand or drill. 👌
And just curious. Are you guys friends with any fellow RUclips detailers .. just curious as I find it very interesting if any detailers are friends … thank you…. And keep up the good work
Swapping out that engine? Depends on budget and intended use...LS swap is always a good move if you actually want to use it with modern gas. If I chose today I'd find an old big block and put and Edelbrock multiport fuel injection just because I love the sound...not to bumpy of a cam, though. Smooth idle big block for me
I would love to see a tour of your shop.I would rebuild the original motor. With a high performance cam.but not to radical. Just to make it more fun to drive.
wow. imagine having something super nice that you don't deserve & you let it go to shit, then someone treats it as it deserves for you for free, then you let it go immediately to shit again. what a time to be alive.
always enjoy watching ur videos guys keep up the awesome job... much love from australia.. im always in discord too :) can u guys do an exotic car next time maybe??

Ill to tour

I would put an LS3 in it. Nice transformation. Keep banging it out. 😎👍🏻
Great job,, you are one of few guys cleaning cars that wash the engine 👍🏽👍🏽👊🏽👊🏽🏆🏆

Sure! I’d like to see a tour of your new shop, if you’re up to giving us a tour! I hope your new shop makes your auto detailing lives easier, too.

My dad had a 78 Stingray Powder Blue.. Only a few made, so this made me VERY nostalgic to say the least!!!

I would LOVE to see your new shop!!! It's good to see good people "growing"!!! Congrats!!!
Now that it is clean (again), will it be kept nice or will it stand outside again, not being fixed&used/taken care? Great work!! 👍
By the way an awesome video and as a Corvette owner I can tell you that C3 Corvettes carpets have a tendency to degrade over time to the point where it has to be changed that's why a lot of aftermarket companies sell replacement carpets!
You should also try washing a 1967 corvair Monza convertible

I'd love to see a tour! Before, during and after. I think it's really fun to see the remodeling of a shop like this.
Such a beautiful car. Loved every minute of this detail. Great job as always, guys!
The Paint results are probably the BEST ive seen un my entire Life.
Congrats on your new space guys! Of course we'd like to see it!
Congrats on the new shop. Let's see a video on it when it is finished. Car came out showroom great work!
Absolutely gorgeous! Both the car and the detail! I did have a chuckle at the Saturn floor mats though.
finally the return of cakeboss and wonder boy!
Yes old and new shop tour please and thank you.

Really nice job Guys on the classic corvette. Congrats in the new shop.
Yes, full shop tour!
Would love to see a tour of the new shop and that beautiful Stingray came out beautiful great job
You should contact Derek from Vice Grip Garage to get that engine running in the Corvette. He does that kind of stuff all the time.
A tour of the new shop would be appreciated.
Do people not know that putting moth balls in your car, trunk and under the hood helps keep the critters (aka mice) out? You should mention this sometime. I Love polishing my car and watching y'all!
Hi there..yes, please provide a tour of your new shop when it it is finished..thanks.
Definitely would replace the engine with a F1X Pro-Charged 427 Big Block 🔥
😲😲😲😲 the paint looks sooooooo good!!! 😄

No, you wouldn’t. People who casually mention converting something to electric would never lmao
Love to see your shop when its finished.
Yes to a shop tour!
I was wondering if it wouldn't be more beneficial for the car to get ceramic coated, so that if it does go into storage again, it won't have to be paint corrected once more, from a preservation stand point
live the videos and congrats n the new studio!!
All the best with the new shop you deserve the best for your great job
Yes I’d love to see a full tour!

Put an LS 2 or 3 in it cheap at the junkyard pull it out a van or pickup and get a wiring harness from wiring specialties in Connecticut.
Would love a full tour of the new shop!
a nice lil LS never hurt anyone 😁
The color is beautiful
Félicitations, je m'inspire beaucoup de vos vidéos. Merci

Yes !!!!! Please do a shop video
And just curious. Are you guys friends with any fellow RUclips detailers .. just curious as I find it very interesting if any detailers are friends … thank you…. And keep up the good work
Yes I would like to see a tour of your new place
Yes I would like to see your new shop
Regarding the engine, I would replace the stock 350 CID with a new modified 350 crate motor. I would keep the automatic transmission.
Definitely want to see the new shop
I'd get the original engine rebuilt.I had a 72 L48 .They are great engines
This car deserves a restoration.
Yes full garage tour 👍
Solid clean bro ❤️❤️❤️
A shop tour would be great!
Yes, full tour please!!
Do a before and after with the shop and definitely a tour
yes i would like a tour of the new shop
Awesome results would so enjoy buying a vehicle you have cleaned up as you are aware of and respect the cars age.
Swapping out that engine? Depends on budget and intended use...LS swap is always a good move if you actually want to use it with modern gas. After watching the rest of the video, yeah those floormats have to go. And this car seems more appropriate with a mild small block that's well-sorted
That cover right there, I believe that is where the battery is, my brother had a 79 Corvette, that's how I know that.
I would love to see a tour of your shop.I would rebuild the original motor. With a high performance cam.but not to radical. Just to make it more fun to drive.
Fantastica. Stupenda!!!!
Would love to see a tour including the products and tools you guys use
excellent transformation 👍
Yes, I'd like to see a full tour of it
Send motor to hagerty garage. they will make it like brand new. I am 100% sure. 😊
Great job. I did see the first one on this car.
I would rebuild the if numbers matching and maybe bump it a little bit
Very very nice job. Well done.
A full tour isn't a want it's a need :)
👀
Personally would rebuild the motor if its a matching motor , do a cam and enjoy it
wow. imagine having something super nice that you don't deserve & you let it go to shit, then someone treats it as it deserves for you for free, then you let it go immediately to shit again. what a time to be alive.
I would replace the engine of that corvette with a ls7
I wanna see a shop tour.
Awesome color
What year was that Buick you were working on that Buick was really cool.
yessir give us a tour
Yes please
I would just get it rebuilt the stock motor is an monster I’ll keep it stock
Yes sir wddt
How could such a beautiful car be neglected for so long?
I wouldn't replace the engine whatsoever. What I would do is take that clunker str8 to the junkyard and have it turned into a pancake!
always enjoy watching ur videos guys keep up the awesome job... much love from australia.. im always in discord too :) can u guys do an exotic car next time maybe??
yesi would like to see the new shop and lets get real that vette needs a big block
I would restore the engine to it's original factory tune. 460hp
replace the enjun with a four -twenny-sebin... :D
It’s got a nice color
Ofc we need a full shop tour lmao
I would put a crate engine in it, probably a 425 or a 454 and upgrade around that.
