That's actually a good idea, which really interests me as I could do a long layover in Malaysia and explore KL. :)

@@TovnaDavid Air Asia is Malaysian originally but multi-national now. You might have the option of flying with Air Asia Indonesia from Singapore to Jakarta and onwards to Perth. (I haven't checked but would expect Air Asia Indonesia to have flights to and from Singapore.)
